Incredible Illustrations by Benze.

These are remarkable illustrations (and one mural!) created by Budapest, Hungary based artist Benze.  Turning away from creating oil paintings, Benze distilled his work to the basics of black and white simplicity to create “tattooed looking” compositons.  Focusing on every piece’s “gravitational field,” one is forced to inspect the work at microscopic levels thus finding new images within the whole.

“Urban Portraits” by Tim Okamura.

Using spray paint, collage and other mixed media the artist Tim Okamura creates stunning photorealistic paintings for a series that he calls “Urban Portraits.”  Combining the urgency of street art and the academic ideal of realism, Okamura’s portraits are story-telling epics that are raw with the air of the United States’, and particularly New York City’s, social motifs.
