On your question though, cuz it’s still a good question, I genuinely don’t know. If so, he didn’t do a very good job of showing any guilt 😭. And I rarely play Alpha and Omega so I really don’t know that much about Post-Revelations Richtofen lmao. But my opinion is, it’s unlikely, but there’s a chance that he did feel that way.

🌌 Nobody asked but I’d like to share my Oc x Canon (Edward Richtofen x Zain ‘Nightowl’ Odaglas) ship with little tidbit facts (btw if it isn’t already obvious, I’m honestly more interested in Richtofen’s thoughts lol)

🌌Nightowl has a stronger ability to stay calm and collected rather than Richtofen. Despite this, Nightowl always seems to know exactly what to say to calm Richtofen down when he’s particularly stressed, even offering some small gestures of affection to him.

🌌Richtofen's already sharp intellect would be laser-focused on Zain. He'd study Zain's habits, preferences, even the smallest nuances of his expressions and movements, cataloging them with fervent intensity.

🌌Their cuddling position would likely be repetitive; Zain lying on his back with Richtofen’s entire frame on top of him, and Richtofen’s head on Zain’s chest. It doesn’t matter what Richtofen was previously doing beforehand, the sound of Nightowl’s heartbeat, the comforting back rubs, the hair stroking, would make all his past stresses disappear, albeit probably for that time period.

🌌Despite his usual arrogance, Richtofen would likely crave Zain's approval, subtly angling conversations to elicit positive reactions or praise from him.

🌌The “L word” would be rarely used. While they both feel it, it yields a bit too much strength, and mostly for Richtofen’s sake. For far too long, the word “love” always seemed so insignificant to Richtofen. He’s gone so long without it, that’s he’s used to the benefits of never experiencing unconditional love. However, Richtofen does feel a deep desire to say it wholeheartedly to Zain, but it feels funny on his tongue. Not like him. (It’s like Squidward trying to say “I’m sorry” to SpongeBob)

🌌While not malicious, Richtofen might exhibit subtle signs of jealousy if Zain interacts closely with others, perhaps becoming unusually quiet or finding a reason to draw Zain's attention elsewhere. He might express a strong preference for spending time alone with Zain, subtly (or not so subtly) discouraging others from joining them.

🌌At the start, Richtofen would hesitate at the thought of Nightowl and him being intimate. It wasn’t because he didn’t want to be physically close to Nightowl, but rather because he’s sensitive and new to the act. Without any force, Nightowl would help guide him (with consent). And once Richtofen became comfortable enough with the intimacy, he would start to become more confident and even a bit addicted.

🌌He would likely try to share his passions – his experiments, his theories, his understanding of the multiverse – with Zain, interpreting any sign of interest (even polite nodding) as genuine enthusiasm.

🌌Richtofen might idealize Zain, overlooking any potential flaws and seeing him as an almost perfect being. Thoughts of Zain would likely dominate his mind, influencing his experiments, his conversations, and his overall demeanor.

🌌This intense love would be intertwined with a gnawing anxiety, a constant fear of losing Zain's affection or having him come to harm. This fear could manifest as overprotectiveness or subtle attempts to keep Zain close.

🌌With Zain, Richtofen would allow glimpses of a vulnerability he rarely showed to anyone else. He might share his fears, his insecurities, and even fragments of his traumatic past, seeking comfort and understanding. Zain might even loosen up as well, showing vulnerable sides of him only very few have experienced.

-(Observing Zain simply standing near someone) “Their mere presence… occupying the same spatial coordinates as him… it disrupts the delicate balance of the universe. My universe."

-“His precision with that rifle… it’s… quite something. Makes one wonder about his… dexterity in other… focused endeavors. Purely academic curiosity, of course.”
