Mark Saltveit is the world champion of palindromes.  Saltveit, a local comedian and freelance writer, took first place in Friday’s first ever World Palindrome Championships in Brooklyn, where he faced off against six other expert palindromists from around the globe.  His winning work: “Devil Kay fixes trapeze part; sex if yak lived.”  “It brought down the house,” Saltveit said.
