Truly though, people are mad that gi-hun didn't solve the games problem all on his own, but he Can't. He can't fight a system that big on his own. I maintain that he saved more than one person But he didn't know that, but the message is supposed to be that saving one person is enough. If everybody saved one person, think of how much more work that would be done?
Woo-Seok Fought to save the guys on the boats and ended up having to be taken down by a squad of cops but he still saved two lives, and because of that those two lives went onto save Gyeong-seok, and because they found Him they got the coast guard to the island which destroyed the Korean sect of the organisation (thanks for that random line that said coast guard patrols are common there). Gyeong-Seok was in that boat to meet the two of them in the water because No-Eul decided to save one person who could then save Another person (Na-Yeon). Gi-Hun saved the little girl, and we don't know what she'll do yet, but She will do things and will live and meet people and effect the world and she'll only get to because of a man valuing her as a person literally Before She Got Clothes To Wear. No-Eul also only lived because her watching Gi-Hun give his life for that baby made her change her mind about killing herself. He gave her hope when she thought she had nothing.
The message of squid game is that no, some random hero isn't coming to save us, but that that isn't a death sentence. By working together We can help each other and make change happen.
You're not always going to win, but you have No idea what you trying will achieve. Gi-Hun saved one baby and a woman he had no idea existed on just that day. That island had been killing hundreds of people since the 80's, and now it won't see any more blood because of what he started.
#Yeah true#This message is hopeful in some way#It could have been done/wrote better tho#There were other ways to show this tbh

absolutely wheezing over the fact the In-ho witnessed Gi-hun backed against a wall with a baby in his arms and immedietly started tweaking out so bad he had to invite Gi-hun to his office after hours, dismiss all the guards, reveal his secret identity plot twist, and be like here take this knife. take this knife and kill everyone. you and the baby will win. it's not cheating because i'm the gamemaster and i say so. if you're proving my point on my weirdly convoluted path for vengence in the process, that's neither here nor there. just please don't die and also this is what i was forced to do once upon a time please see me. you see me right? we're one and the same. there is no other who could understand me the way you might so please just take the knife and -

By adopting a defeatist narrative in which Capitalism wins, Squid Game becomes an example of the very propaganda and ideology it originally sought to denounce. In this essay I will

I can’t believe I’m doing another post about this shit but looking at gifs of That Scene, where I’m reminded that Gihun is looking directly at Inho and speaking directly to him using his own words against him, while Inho watches him through the mask unable to do a goddamn thing ….I almost feel like Gihun’s final act was actually (in part) a big ‘fuck you’ to Inho
Gihun wanted to die over and over again, but Inho wouldn’t let him. And now, because of his own actions, just after Inho finally finds his light again in the form of this remarkable person, he loses him. He took away so much that Gihun loved, so Gihun took away what he loved.
#yeah he’s not a horse to be groomed and kept#he’s a person#im just so mad about this season#there were others ways to express that#and to show gihun’s goodness#<prev tags

I mean….i don’t think anyone can argue at this point that Inho doesn’t love Gihun. He loves him. Like a lot. A fucking lot. It was doomed yaoi but it’s still fucking yaoi

I just love how the guards didn't give a single shit when Thanos and Nam-gyu were beating the crap out of Myung-gi, but held Dae-ho at gunpoint the second he put his hands on Gi-hun.
Frontman really said don't let anyone hurt my pookie. Not even pookie.
