Teenage Engineering PO-16 Keytar

Here is our entry to the Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator DIY competition. It is a Xbox 360 Rockband Keyboard / Keytar married with the PO-16 Factory Synth. We soldered the contacts of the 15 white keys ( due to the C Major limitation of the POs ) to the corresponding 15 contact switches on the Pocket Operator PCB. To be able to disconnect the Pocket Operator and use it without the keyboard there is a 25-pin connector on the bottom of the keytar.

Shoepassion Store Final Video
vimeo
This is the final result of our work for the Munich store of the Berlin shoebrand 'Shoepassion'. It is a projection mapping on an oversized whole cut oxford shoe.We are showcasing different colourways and models via a mounted projector. Also a set of abstract animations was developed for stores shopwindow. Below the shoe is a text area that holds information about the projected model. If you are in Munich have a look at Damenstiftstr. 11 ( sidestreet of Kaufingerstr. ). Usually it is running at night time. Shoepassion Store (Pt. I)
We have been busy for Shoepassion Berlin to develop a new eyecatcher for their shoe retail stores all over Germany. Shoepassion is a manufacturer and retailer for classic handmade leather shoes. The brief was to come up with new ways of showcasing their varied range of different classic oxford shoe models in their shopwindows. The solution is a projection mapping on an oversized blank white shoe. We 3D scanned and manually edited the shoe in Cinema 4D.

FOLLY

Our pavillion made of 2000 foam pieces at the Media Architecture Biennale - November 2014 at Godsbanen in Aarhus Denmark hosted by Aarhus University and Media Institute of Denmark. The Pavilion was the result of a workshop at the Media Architecture Biennale 2014 in Aarhus Denmark. Participants put together the blocks to shape the pavilion as they wanted. Pathways throughout the pavilion were created to offer a variety of ways to circulate and experience the spatial qualities of the pavilion and its projections.Participants also programmed their own affects that were projected onto the pavilion. A project by Open Constructs.

Media Architecture Biennale 2014

Together with Open Constructs we are part of this years Media Architecture Biennale in Copenhagen and Aarhus. We will offer a workshop on 'Programming Natural Affect' which consists of a hands-on building part and a software developing part. The workshop proposes a new way to look at the interweaving of the natural world and urban life through the use of new media and architecture. Rather than trying to fully control/manage the relationship between the natural and built environment with computation (and its metaphors) this proposal sets out to augment the natural world. Thus creating artificial environments that evokes the organic. An architecture that artificially amplifies the experiences of nature that is diminishing in the urban context. We finished building a little music hardware gadget called MidiREX - a cool Midi Looper by Peter Kvitek also known as MidiSizer. It is based on the Atmel ATmega 644p microcontroller chip. You can record 4 tracks of Midi data in realtime, perfect for all your new analogue desktop gear. Leave the laptop and Ableton at home and run your liveset from this small buddy. Check it out and order your PCB here.
