It is in nearly perfect condition with just a little bit of prison laundry fading!

It has nice, triple stitched seams including one down the middle of the back.

There are no outward signs that you are wearing convict clothes!

Until you open up the buttons to reveal that you are a convicted felon and you are wearing clothes issue to you by the State of Iowa!

Get back to your cell convict!!

Serving Time in County Jail

The newer jumpsuit indicates perhaps a county jail. It looks like he has been there a while and it is a one man cell with bars. So, Maximum Security at county jail.

I am going to go with serving a sentence of less than a year in county jail for something like domestic battery or DUI.

I assume you are asking about costs for the Franklin County Historic Jail Roleplay.

The level of security or any other requests do not impact the price (which is $400 for each 24 hour period).

You may ask what you get for $400. That price includes:

Access to the cellblock- dayroom- booking area- prison yard

Use of inmate uniforms and restraints from a vast collection

24/7 uniformed guards (minimum of 2 at all times)

3 meals a day served with prison utensils

Laundry- showers- linens- toiletries

Creation and maintenance of your roleplay at all times, including but not limited to: arrest- intake- mugshots- fingerprints- yard time- hard labor- chain gang- solitary confinement- general population- court hearings.

We will also work to create any special requests on a case by case basis. We can't do everything!!

I have been busy working guard duty at Franklin Jail in Iowa.

Doing role play and guiding night tours in Florida!

And spending a little "me" time in Maximum Security!

Much to my horror, I found that I have 125 messages in my inbox!

My very understanding BF is arriving from Australia in a few days. He will likely allow me some time to catch up with all of this! If not, I may be sitting in prison stripes and chained to my desk, laptop at hand, with a tin cup of shit coffee replying to all of your messages!

I got into a prison cap mood today. So, I am going to share a few vintage, denim prison caps.

A WW2 era POW issued blue denim cap.

A blue denim, engineer's cap that was prison standard for decades!

A hickory stripe, newsboy cap. Think Andy DuFresne tarring a roof in Shawshank Redemption.

That put me in the mood to put on my Shawshank uniform.

What’s the point of heads shaving inmates anyway? Do all prisons do it?

Shaving convicts heads, particularly at intake, has several advantages.

Uniformity

Hygeine

Contraband

Humiliation

Prisons have been shaving heads for centuries.

It is designed to clean up the inmate and bring him to a standard, just like the military.

It is the same reason you are given a prison number.

It is designed to remind you of your low societal status or condemnation.

Currently it is used for hygiene reasons and I would argue humiliation .

Who can argue that this reckless Florida killer is well aware that he f##ked up!

Greetings, do you know how I can find khaki coveralls without pockets? Thank you for your help

Yes. Both of these jumpsuits are khaki in color, and neither has a pocket.

The top jumpsuit is a vintage Illinois DOC uniform with a button front, restraint loop, "nehru" collar, short sleeves, and no pocket.

The other is an Indiana DOC, general population khaki jumpsuit with a button front, no collar or pocket, and a velcro fly closure.
