「Mundane moments of love with Nanami」

whenever he travels for work, he calls you whenever he can. he usually leaves the call on the speakerphone while the two of you do your own thing; he asks you how your day was while folding his laundry or updates you on his mission while you make dinner. sometimes silence fills the call, but neither of you care because just the feeling of knowing the other is there is enough to warm both of your hearts. but he’s sometimes the first to break the silence with a ‘wish you were here’ and your heart tightens a little as you whisper back a ‘me too’

it’s when he hugs you after a long day apart; it’s the kind of hug that starts out almost casual but lasts longer than it should simply because neither of you refuses to go. he leaves a soft kiss on the top of your head as his arms wrap around you tightly as if he’s protecting you from the world, and you couldn’t feel safer, warmer, and more at home. at one point, he snuggles even closer, letting himself melt against you; he buries his face in the crook of your neck and you can feel his warm, soft breath against your skin as he leaves a few soft, chaste kisses on your skin. he comments how much he loves your scent and you laugh before asking him to describe it, and he takes a moment before replying, ‘it just smells like... you. like home.’

it’s when the two of you do your morning routine together; exchanging a few lazy smiles or kisses before getting up and making the bed together. brushing teeth and doing skincare together; it’s the lingering touches of hand when he’s passing you the towel, and it’s the way your eyes meet in the mirror and you both smile – sharing a delightful, calm atmosphere; he pulling you by the waist and giving you a kiss on the top of your head before lightly caressing your cheek, with a small but genuine smile on his lips.

it’s one of those unexpected deep conversations in unlikely places like the supermarket; it’s just that almost sacred connection you get when you’re telling someone your thoughts and ideas, and you worry that you sound scattered and might not make sense and you’re ready to brush it off with a nevermind and an awkward little chuckle but you don’t need to because he gets it. and when he continues the conversation as if it makes all the sense and importance in the world to him while he put the cereal box into the cart, you feel a fresh surge of love for him.

it’s the feeling of warm tea in your hand on winter nights while you talk on the couch about your day; him gently pulling your hair out of your face and tucking it behind your ear or tucking the blanket closer around you so you don’t feel cold. it’s the understanding and caring look he has on his face as you talk about whatever comes to mind; he loves your voice and he loves being a part of your life. he loves to hear what you have to say and loves to observe every little detail of you.

it’s the feeling of opening the windows after the rain has passed and smelling the earth and the cool but gentle atmosphere that lingers in the air; it’s him trying to get you out of bed but ending up giving up because he can’t resist you; you wrapping him in your warm, comfortable arms because of the fluffy sweater you’re wearing - and he can’t help but smile at the thought of it. he wraps his arms around you as you adjust the blanket around the two of you, he smiles against your neck and leaves a soft kiss before closing his eyes, giving himself completely to you and this moment so simple but so special to him .

it’s him, meeting and remembering all your favorite characters – and the ones you hate – in your favorite shows, even if he’s never watched them. and it’s him trying to get to know you a little more; reading your favorite books, watching your favorite movies, or even cooking your favorite recipe just to surprise you. he loves your little world and can't wait to explore every detail of it.

it’s him coming home every night with a bag of desserts because he knows it’s your favorite and because he didn’t want to eat without you. it’s him calling you when he’s at a mall or a grocery store to ask you if you want or need anything

is enthusiastically decorating your new apartment and arguing about which furniture goes where; it’s silly, pointless bickering over the perfect position of the couch and him coming up to you and kissing you lightly on the cheek while agreeing with you just for this ‘fight’ to stop - but later he would change the couch’s position again.

it’s him reluctantly getting out of bed and accompanying you to the supermarket in the middle of the night; it’s him putting your hand in his pocket to warm it for you while the two of you argue about who will pay for the snacks and who will pay for the drinks.

it’s him coming home from a hard day and giving you a hug on the back, feeling instantly better just having you in his arms; him leaving little kisses on your shoulder and neck as he watches you do what you were doing before. him holding you a little tighter against him as if it were a silent request for you to go to bed.

it’s him greeting and saying goodbye to you with a kiss on the forehead and one on the lips, and a light squeeze on your waist. it’s him eagerly waiting for you at night with a cute dinner he prepared. it’s him letting you wear his shirts to bed - and then smelling them the next day because your scent soothes him. it’s him being completely in love with you.

I am so tempted to read Jujutsu Kaisen just so I can write a masc!Reader (or SI or OC)/Nanami Kento that is so lacking in the fandom

( I've been spoiled every known death in this manga and had sworn to never read such angsty stories, e.g jujutsu kaisen, tokyo revenger, attack on titan, etc., for the sake of my own weak wobbly heart but man,,, Nanami Kento my beloved )

morning study sessions but my mind is full of him…

a/n: heya, i love nanami so much id take photos of him everyday if hed let me so he can see how pretty and loved he is

nanami doesn't really use his phone. aside from texting you and turning on alarms for the mornings, he doesn't do much with it.

though, he notices that you use his camera a lot.

kento doesn't know why you're so fascinated with his camera but you tend to ask for his phone whenever he takes you out, wether it is for a simple walk or something with more effort. and he really doesn't mind that, honestly, he doesn't use it anyways.

so it's a bit of a surprise for him when he stumbles upon the device's gallery, brows raising in surprise at the amount of pictures that he finds there.

so many pictures, half of them blurry but the flood of memories accompanying every one of them is unstoppable. the paperwork before him is long forgotten as nanami leans back on his chair, body relaxing. he swipes his thumb on the screen, face softening when he sees pictures with you.

he looks through every photo, remembering the events of particular days with fondness and wonderning how did you even manage to take them. kento makes sure to add some of them into his favorites, for later, to skeme through them when he has the urge to see you but can't for some reason.

there are some videos too, he notes; some of them with you just making silly faces, some with him(like the one where you two were posing thinking that the camera was on timer but video recording started, and his favorite thing was you bursting out in hysterical laughter because of the situation) and there are also the ones where you're filming him without him noticing.

you cupping his jaw with one hand, a smile on your bright face and a frown on his.

you hugging him from behind, your hands resting on his chest and his hands gently gripping your forearms, soft expressions on both of your faces.

his cheek smushed against your chest and half of your face, where sleepiness is still evident but you're smiling nonetheless, looking at him sleep.(propably his favorite picture but he won't admit he likes it if you ask him).

and so much more, every one of them filled with love and passion and warmth, the same warmth that spreads all over his chest as nanami looks through the gallery.

his heart seems to stop when he sees the first picture ever taken by you ー it's him, standing in the line for drinks he ordered for both of you, in some cafe in the city that he remembers you liked a lot, and the soft smile that appears on his face is really hard to stop, especially when he recalls that it was your first date together.
