Seeing the arguments about the damage shows like “Family Guy” have created reminds me just how poorly they also react to shows like “Bob’s Burgers.”
The first season clearly had some “Family Guy” esque humor used to establish a foothold and then went off and did its own thing once the second and third seasons were broadcast. The show has done so well for itself with its brand of weird, sometimes disgusting but ultimately inoffensive humor that doesn’t require the main characters constantly trying to destroy one another, shows like “Family Guy” can’t stand it. The staff and executives can’t stand the idea that “Bob’s Burgers” is holding up standards and shows of what happens when a creative team makes an effort to be funny without being cruel, racist, homophobic, etc. It’s a mirror that reflects how lazy and apathetic the people behind “Family Guy” and “American Dad” and “South Park” truly are, and they don’t like it.
“Family Guy” especially is nauseating in the undeserved scorn it throws at “Bob’s Burgers.” They throw in jokes mocking the art style, claiming “Bob’s Burgers” needed “Family Guy” to stay afloat, and even had an entire sequence where Peter Griffin weakly attempts to rip the Belchers apart. He calls Louise “Rabbit Ears” and implies her hat’s the only reason why she’s funny. All while ignoring the numerous one-note characters “Family Guy” prides itself on like abusive bully Connie D’Amico, Brian’s flaming gay stereotype cousin Jasper, Conseula the lazy housemaid, sociopathic rapist Quagmire, and Quagmire’s transgender mother/father Ida who is frequently referred to as “A monster” and “A guy in drag.”
Shows like “Family Guy” don’t just destroy the empathy of its viewers, they target other properties and try to destroy THEM for getting their viewers to care as well.

Androgynous
Androgynous, something I used to and still do sometimes , strive for. I have a fascination with being of indeterminate gender. I want people to look at me and not judge me based of my perceived sex. I want people to be forced into the unpleasant task of treating me as a human being and not as a man or woman. I strive to exist in a world where I am not looked down for being a black woman and not feared for being a black male. I want to be treated with the love and compassion I know I am deserving of.

Gender Dysphoria
So dysphoria is a fucking bitch.
Basically it means that even though I was assigned female at birth, my feelings of gender largely don't match up! I feel like a boy! Albeit a very soft and feminine one. But still a boy. When I look at my chest I want to cry, scream and rip those massive motherfuckers off. It's like a sickly feeling that your body is both your own. A never ending nightmare you can't awake from! People often try and discredit my transness because I like to wear makeup and paint my nails and wear "girly" clothing at time. But here's the thing! Those things don't equate female. Anyone can and should be allowed to rock whatever look they choose! I mean high heels used to be worn by and made for men! So fuck your "gender norms"! I love girly things! And even once I start hormones and get top surgery I'm going to wear girly clothes and do make up if I want! You can't stop me! Dont let anyone shove you into a box of what men or women should act like.
