For a brief while I had a cosm that technically was fantasy but we didn’t go on any big quests, I just chilled with my friends and one of them was big into alchemy except like alchemy involves roses and fae spirits in that cosm, so she’d share rose tea recipes with me and we’d compare their magical properties and hang out inside the greenhouse and it was all just so pure
I gotta go back to that one man I’m starting to miss Mina now
I have this weird situation where my parame is this ideal version of myself…but she lives in a post-apocalyptic world.
Have any of you heard of a green apocalypse or a soft apocalyse? It’s a concept within the apocalypse genre that suggests that humanity would come together after horrific events, or at least small pockets of civilization would grow stronger. It focuses around an aesthetic of growth and rebuilding, hence the name “green apocalypse.” That’s the world my parame resides in.
She’s a mail carrier - because I firmly believe post offices would remain open despite the apocalypse. She loads up letters in one city and bikes to the next to deliver them, and so the cycle continues.
And that’s literally my whole paracosm: me biking through America, delivering mail and scavenging what I can from crumbling buildings.
It seems so bleak but from another angle, so peaceful. I wonder why I’ve chosen that environment in which to reside. I’ve been trying to examine myself lately to figure out why I created certain paracosms.
Do any of you have “nonconventional” parame paracosms? I’m really curious to know since I mainly only hear about cool fantasy parame paracosms or realistic ones.

So I was dumb and didn’t include any paras for this so we’re just pick a random para
Mmmmmmmmmm let’s go with So-Yi
That would absolutely have to be after the EP she helped write a song for was released, and her friend Hayoon was all “dude look you got credits on the ep!!” and So-Yi was like “wait why??? I didn’t write that I just sat with the group and came up with some of the lines” and Hayoon’s like “yeah no that counts!!” and she’s like “omg wtf that counts!!!” and it’s just great

I’m working on the soundtrack for a future video game based on one of my cosms! There’s also one I’m planning to make a Heroquest campaign for, and another I’d love into to make a web series one day :)
Question for all you daydreamers
I hear a lot of people talk about wanting to write their daydreams down or daydreaming about if they wrote their dreams out as stories or comics or something else but does anyone actually have plans to?
I’m really curious to hear people’s future plans if you have any!! I don’t know if anyone else does this??? Would love to hear any future plans and stories or any other form of media u wanna create.
I’ve actually started on a few of mine
Currently I have a few plans I’m very set on making a real thing in the future and have been slowly planning for a few years:
A horror game based in my version of purgatory, right now working on concept art and then more game mechanics and stuff.
A psychological horror comic based around two friends (I’ve already written a play and designed the characters in this one!)
A horror-ish game that’s more simple then the other, looks cartoonish and very expeimental.
A Tabletop campaign that I’m currently creating, need to fighting system and the last few bits of story, I already have all the players.

madd really has its negative sites and i think all of us could agree that our daydreaming is more of a curse than a blessing. no matter if it’s interfering with our daily lives, our relationships, if it’s messing with our head or putting us into the weirdest moods - it’s devastating in many ways.
but i like to thank my mind for coming up with a way of coping that also does good to me and my soul sometimes. i’m stating now that - obviously - obsessive daydreaming to the point you start getting addicted to it is not something to be encouraged. but for me, at the moment, i will put this aside for the sake of this post.
the feelings i carry in my heart for my vastly different universes i’ve created in my head are real. they are my safe places - most of the time. i use them to run away from whatever is going on in my actual life but sometimes leaving all my emotional baggage behind to slip into one of my dreams is so, so freeing. in my favorite universe i’m a young boy with a heart and mind as open as you can imagine, friends that have my back even in the toughest of times. i share my emotions with my loving partner and i re-live the teenage-hood i’ve missed due to my depression again.
and whenever i have to leave that particular universe it hurts every single time. getting out of my bed, walking to the nearest mirror and pinching myself for good measure, realizing that none of that was real hurts. we all know that feeling. but what i do know is that this universe is my safe place. i can come back to it. it won’t run away from me and it won’t leave me, ever. my friends there will be waiting for me, they’ll welcome me with open arms every time. and as alone i feel most of the time, in many of my dreams i won’t.
so even if this might not be the ideal way to cope with what’s going on as of now, i think it’s a good thing for me in some ways. i hope that one day i will be able to live my life just as the young boy i am in my favorite universe. but for now he will be taking my longing emotions and live them out for me. maybe this is me trying to water this down in some way but it helps me to feel less embarrassed- or threatened- by my daydreaming. i do not ignore the way madd puts me in distress in many occasions and that it does a lot of harm as well. but what i’ve created for myself is also something that helps me in instances where everything just gets too much to handle.

Hi!!
ATTENTION!!!!!!
Okay thank you for your attention
Hi, I’m a new para/paracosm blog! I’ll be posting about my own paras/paracosm, reblogging other people’s para/paracosm posts, and possibly even posting any submissions I might get!!!
I guess if anyone wants to hear a bit about my main paracosm right now: all the paras in it are members of my original alien species (AKA units), it takes place in their home dimension (AKA Tespoid), and I love it with every fiber of my being
…I’m sure what else to add here, so! *melts into the murky darkness, escaping once again*

I’m feeling bored and fixation-y so have some Picrews (shoutout to @sangled) of Hanayo (aka. Benibara) and Yuriko from the Red Rose for Hire cosm. Left is them at the start of their story, right is them by the end.
This cosm probably definitely warrants a few content warnings, and I myself am not entirely sure how to word them properly, so be aware that even though I won’t go into a ton of specifics here, this is not a light story:
To sum it up (and believe me I could go into a lot more depth and I’ve had this cosm for like two days): Akahane Hanayo (9w1) is a kind and intelligent-for-her-age girl who was adopted by affluent businessman Danzaki Morishige (2w3), who’s raised her kindly but with fairly strict rules about what she wears, what music she listens to, how she spends her time and who she spends it with, etc. Basically trying to raise this “perfect child,” sequestered from normal life so he can have her be just the way he wants. It's more than a bit concerning. He, and pretty much everyone who knows Hanayo, almost exclusively calls her Benibara, which means “red rose.”
Benibara’s always preferred talking with adults over kids her own age, due to her intellect and being bullied as an orphan, and she’s a natural conversationalist, so Morishige’s friends and colleagues generally enjoy her company. What she doesn’t fully know is that some of them will pay Morishige for said company. Like, not just for larger events that she comes along to—we’re talking for one-on-one time throughout the day. It’s never overtly sexual (until the one time it kinda is) (Morishige always says he wouldn’t hesitate to hire a hitman in the event that someone tried to go there) (which he eventually does), but for many of them it’s almost certainly some kind of weird, unattainable fantasy.
That’s the life she knows. Her father takes good care of her, she’s learned to mentally detach from uncomfortable situations, and she’s not unhappy. She just doesn’t fully grasp the situation she’s in. The way her “friends” actually see her.
Aoki Yuriko (8w7), on the other side of things, is a headstrong girl around Benibara’s age (at the time of the story, around 15 or 16) who finds an extra job, and eventually gets herself into a couple of somewhat sketchy deals, to have enough money to invite Benibara over every week. All with the intention of getting her back into the real world and as far away from Morishige as possible.
They fall in love. Hanayo starts to get back to who she is and what she really wants, none of which she’d thought much about before. It ends well. Very angstily, and certainly not quickly, but well.
