"Don't just stand there and let life get the best of you, Tofu! You have a whole life worth living for!" Edge to Tofu after they had a very long argument due to Tofu's mom being extremely pressuring even after all theses years.

Tofu is a drop out of one of my paracosms most prestigious music schools after she realized her ideal life would be just to own a bar. Her mom considers this a waste of her (Tofu's) time and her mom pressures her even after all theses years to not only go back to school but to get back into music. Tofu's mom pressured Tofu a lot as a kid to get into music so her mom could live through Tofu. Her mom only wants her to be a successful musician for her own bragging rights.

Edge and Tofu are in a very complex and tense on-and-off situationship. They have been for years. Edge wants the best for Tofu, but Tofu doesn't care that much about Edge (or so she states, she has emotional attachment problems) so she doesn't wanna make anything official.

Listen as a mentally ill person I hear your arguments about using character AI, but aside from its disastrous ecological impact and the fact it steals from writers, it also definitely made my maladaptive daydreaming worse. Also the quality of the generated texts has significantly dropped since the app was released. It's just not worth it. We need better healthier ways to cope.
