I am a student filmmaker. Here's something I made with a wonderful and talented group of people. It's called First Day of Spring. Depressed over a recent breakup, Nathan is kidnapped and taken to his family's vacation house on the Cape for a guy's weekend by his childhood friend Dan.

I love Lupita Nyongo’s Brother
because he literally did
exactly what we would do
if we went to the Oscars
except he did it 220022932 times better.

amazing things that happened abroad, before I forget
Saw Peace live for free
met some amazing friends that I shall keep for the duration of my lifetime
saw Skaters for free
had my first kiss
spoke to Oscar and Emmy award winning editors, directors, and writers
Broke in to Hyde Park
walked across Abbey Road
Witnessed a Waterloo Sunset
Walked down Portobello Road for miles
explored downtown Seoul by myself (before I hit London)
went out for drinks with co-workers for the first time
Walked down Berwick Street
Was in two hemispheres at once (at the Royal Observatory in Greenwhich)
Traveled to Glasgow by myself
went to a Twisted Wheel gig at King Tut's!
Saw the Fratellis live
Daniel Radcliffe smiled, waved, and totally gave me a thumbs up at the London Film Festival Premiere of Kill Your Darlings
Serendipitously encountered Luke LaLonde of the Born Ruffians at the Botanique, in Brussels, Belgium.
Spent the day In Bruges.
Ate the world's most amazing ribs in Ghent
saw amazing Clash memorabilia at Black Market Clash
Walked down Carnaby Street (was kind of disgusted by how commercial it's become)
stormed the stage at a concert and danced
waltzed to the Sex Pistols
fell in love

How I've changed and not changed- My time abroad in London
I've never noticed such a sharp change in myself as the transformation I have incurred during my time in London. I didn't realise how big a problem my timidness or complacency was until I noticed that London has turned me into a stronger, more confident, courageous person. Instead of hesitating and arguing the pros and cons of a situation, I am more inclined to act on my gut feelings and take immediate action. I have become more unapologetic of what I want, and therefore more confident and comfortable with myself. I used my fears of others' negative judgment or rejection to control my decisions, but now I control my decisions. I have become more independent, and realise that it takes a strong person to no longer need the comfort that the validation of others provides. These are all traits that are necessary in the film industry. I cannot market myself if I'm not 100% uncompromisingly comfortable with myself.
What is okay or appropriate is not determined by society, it is determined by my perspective. This is how I shall navigate the world. I've changed in the sense that I am more inclined and comfortable with being the person I was all along, instead of putting on airs to fit in with others.

Met Mike (guitarist) and Joe (bassist) from Smallpools! Saw them at Madame JoJo's and KOKO Club in London. They opened for Shy Nature at Madame Jojo's, and Shy Nature are also quite jangly and brilliant
