we were meant to live slowly!!!! we were meant to savor moments and feel unabashedly lazy and frolic and smell the flowers and laugh with our entire hearts and love with our entire souls!!!!! don’t ever feel guilty for resting!!!!!! don’t ever feel guilty for slowing down!!!!!! enjoying life shouldn’t be something you’re ashamed of

Out of Time
torchwood/life on mars
“Jack!” the woman warned. Sam looked each of them in the eye as they turned, saw him, and leveled their weapons at him. “You should make sure you close your door.” It got the reaction he wanted–pissing Jack off enough to get him stomping forwards and shoving Sam into the wall behind. Jack pinned him there with an arm across his chest, leaning his weight into it, and kept his gun raised at his head. “Who are you?” he demanded. “As if I’d tell you,” Sam spat back. He grabbed Sam and spun him around, fisting his hand in his jacket and marching down the corridor. “Picked a hell of a day for it,” was all Jack said. or; Sam Tyler is running a routine suspect pick up in Cardiff with the Guv when it all goes tits up. Next thing he knows, he's caught up in the sordid affairs of some sort of underground alien hunters in the future

and what if i tell you that owen, tosh and ianto all died not because of an alien threat but because of the flaws of us humans?
what if i tell you that torchwood’s greatest villain will always be the humans? owen gets shot for human greed, then him and tosh die for a brother’s revenge, ianto is killed by aliens to fight the choices the earth’s government made
none of them died because of an alien threat, they all died by the hands of the people they swore to protect
as much it is a scifi show, torchwood is and will always be a tale of humanity and how flawed we are
