- reader inserts, just not something i'm super comfortable with

- along with reader inserts is any ocs × canon characters. i prefer to write canon characters × canon characters as it's easier for me and just my preference

- toxic/bad ships, for example: snape and hermione. and i will absolutely not write ships for characters that are related to each other or have a major age difference!!! or any weird ones like dobby × harry.

- certain tws! anything that relates to r*pe, incest, pedophilia, eating disorders, sewerslide, etc. other tws i have written before and are okay for me to write, like self-harm, suicidal thoughts, heavy angst/whump, blood/violence, etc. if you're unsure you can always ask me, or i'll let you know if i'd prefer not to write a certain topic

- crack ships, it's just not my thing as i don't really write anything that's meant to be super/only comical

- certain characters: this goes along with the toxic ships, etc. but there are certain characters i will refuse to write. an example is billy hargrove or peter petigrew. the reasons of why i won't may vary but it shall be respected regardless

In Between - Shadow & Bone

"Are you really sure this is the best use of our time, boss? I was rather hoping to be keeping warm with a drink and a rousing conversation over a hand of cards this evening," Jesper griped for the third time.

2. Car Crash - Locke & Key

"-yler! Tyler, please!"

Tyler groaned as awareness came back. His head felt heavy and like it had been stuffed with cotton. Everything felt muffled, including his hearing as he only distantly heard someone calling his name. His mouth was dry and his eyes felt like they might as well be glued shut for how hard it was going to be to open them.

3. Just Get It Over With - The 100

“The Ring’s starting to look pretty good right about now…” Murphy trailed off. He turned back to Emori as an idea came to him. “How much fuel is left in this thing?”

“Not enough. Why? What are you thinking?” Emori asked, wielding the screwdriver in her newly gloved hands, ready to take another jab at removing the collar.

4. The Fall - Star Wars: Jedi: Fallen Order

He woke to a shrill beep and something nudging against his hand. When he managed to pry open his eyes, a small vial with bright green fluid rested in the palm of his limp hand and he could see two more in the grass next to it. It was familiar, he knew he needed to do something with it, but the pain radiating up and down his spine and around his torso was too intense. A little droid bounced from one foot to another until it squatted down and pushed against his fingers with its head again. He curled his fingers as much as he could and tried to bring it closer to his face to investigate with blurry eyes.

The tiny movement made pain explode through his neck and he succumbed to the blackness again.

5. Finding Nic - TANIS

Watching them bring Nic out of the cabin is an image that will stick with me forever, no matter how much I want to forget. He looked awful. His face and clothes were streaked with blood, what little colour of his flesh I could see was pale, alabaster in the afternoon sun. His brown hair was a mess, half plastered to his head and half standing nearly on end with a mixture of dried blood and mud. He seemed completely unable to focus on his surroundings, confused and blinking warily around the clearing. For a moment his eyes settled on me and I held my breath, hoping for a flicker of recognition. Instead it seemed like he looked right through me, as though I wasn't even there.

6. The Dream - Original Content

The waning light of the evening sun bathed his skin, giving what warmth it could before the cool breeze overpowered it. The wind chased through the grass, swaying it around Michael's knees as he stood on the hilltop overlooking the city. The landscape looked weird, the city skyline black and contrasting against the colorful orange and pink of the sunset that glowed like fire on the horizon and reached across the sky, a last fight against the darkness of night.

7. Drowning - Star Wars: Jedi: Fallen Order

"Kid, you read me? They're not responding…" Greez turned to look at Merrin where she sat in Cere's usual spot at the communication station.

"They will, I am certain of it," Merrin said, her no nonsense tone leaving no space for argument. She pressed on the earpiece clamped over her head, as though trying to push the device deeper into her ear would make Cal respond faster.

8. Just Breathe - Uncharted 4

He claimed he was fine. Nate kept pestering him, asking him again and again if he was sure he was alright. Again and again he insisted he was fine and just to get on the damn plane, little brother.

In reality Sam's head was aching something fierce. Even without touching it he could tell there was a considerable goose egg on the back of his skull from when he hit the ground as the beam fell on him. He wouldn’t be surprised if there was an open wound on it too, swimming through the salty water as they escaped stung like a bitch, both on the bullet graze on his arm and on his head, not to mention the various smaller abrasions he’d acquired over the past couple weeks. He hoped maybe the water washed away any blood that had been in his hair before anyone saw it, he didn’t want Nate to fuss over him. His little brother had enough to deal with between him and Elena. The two of them seemed better off after a few hours alone together in the jungle, bounds better than after the fight at the hotel for sure, but they still had a long way to go.

9. The Trunk - Original Content

“She came out of nowhere sir, never saw her coming.”

Michael had repeated that sentence to himself so many times he almost believed it by now. Of course that was the best way to deal with a lie, try to replace the real story with the one less likely to get your ass thrown in with the fish a long ways from home.

10. Magical Exhaustion - Loki (TV Series)

Loki looked down as he felt warm fingers slide into his hand, squeezing tightly. He glanced between their interlocked hands and Sylvie’s face, her mouth pressed into a determined line as the wind whipped through her hair.

Watching Locke and Key. I’m currently on episode 5 these are my thoughts.

Kinsey is not a good person and I don’t k ow if it’s somehow because of the lack of fear or what. What I do know is that she seemingly has no moral compass. And Scot Cavendish is to good for her. Unless he he can make her better, then maybe.

Tyler is giving Scott-I’m-the-oldest-and-I-need-to-protect-my-family-and-I-have-daddy-issues-Summers vibes. I feel for him. Also, way to go with the anger issues pal. It sucks, I know. So far the worst thing he’s done by far in my book (after lying and saying he slept with that one girl) is the whole I’m going to throw books into my mind to learn stuff to impress Jackie thing. I mean, I do think it would be cool to just have knowledge. Like, that sounds great. But the whole thing (and the subsequent scene) was very painful and iffy.

Bode. Poor Bode. If I were at that age I’d probably just think it’s cool and love and angst and lowkey emotional whump. But no. I’m 21 and all I see is a kid who first had his dad murdered and didn’t know if he would make it out alive that is being terrorized by an evil….person. Whatever she is. If she is an even a she. It seems like she could be part Lucas? Or maybe absorbed some of Lucas? At least that’s the impression I got when Ellie visited the well house. Anyway, yeah, Bode. He felt like he was alone in the key situation. And even though he technically wasn’t he still felt all the responsibility and still had his life and the lives of his family threatened by something unknown that already tried to kill his mom once. And while Tyler finally understands the full gravity of the situation due to the whole fire incident Kinsey seemingly doesn’t care. Or rather, she’s not aware. When she got rid of her fear the next episode very much felt like the “Accepting Anxiety” Sanders Sides video she has yet to realize that maybe it was a bad decision. And the fact that she doesn’t have fear anymore definitely plays a factor in that. But shouldn’t she at least realize it’s dangerous? Shouldn’t she know logically that she should be a bit scared? So yeah, it’ll be interesting to see how that plays out. I asked my sibling if Kinsey has morals and they said yes but only a little bit. I don’t know if my sibling was watched past season 1 but if they have then that doesn’t bode all that well. But I’m hoping that the Kinsey storyline is done well. I’ll just have to wait and see.

But yeah, back to Bode. The poor kid brought a hammer to school. And he’s drawing out maps and possibly battle plans for when Echo comes back. (It would be kinda cool if when Sam Lesser shows up something Bode planned or set up takes care of the situation even though he didnt know it was Sam Lesser who was going to attack.

And there’s Duncan. I can’t not mention Duncan. The fact that Aaron Ashmpre is in this show is part of the reason I decided to watch it in the first place. Anyway, Duncan not knowing about the keys and stuff, not really knowing what Bode is talking about was sad but expected. I think he’s going to unlock a memory or something about the Key House and then go “Oh shit”. I mean, there’s a reason Rendell left. There’s a reason practically everyone in Rendell’s group of old friends is dead. There’s a reason Duncan hates that house almost as much as his brother did. So yeah, it’ll be interesting. And when Bode told Duncan that it’s not his fault he doesn’t remember and it’s okay and hugged him. Oof. There is so much on poor Bode’s shoulder and he is terrified. I mean, he brought a hammer to school and I can understand exactly why that was actually a good idea. Poor kid. Seriously, Bode is a child and out of everyone in the show he is one of the ones with the most common sense.

Also Ellie. I don’t know all of what’s going on with her but I like her and the actress does a really good job.

Nina. So obviously some part of her was left back in the mirror place. I hope she gets it back and figures it out. Her own subtle investigation and all that is great. I need to go otherwise I’d talk about her more but yeah I like that well the kids are trying to handle the keys she doesn’t know about them and is looking into the Omega symbol and Rendell’s past and it both the same type of thing as the kids deal with but also something completely different.

Also, quick shoutout to the English teacher. I don’t remember his name because every time I see him in my head he is Rufus from supernatural. And there’s already a Rufus on the show. So yeah, I’ll have to work harder on remembering his name is not actually Rufus. I was very confused when Bode mentioned him b cause Bode shouldn’t even know who he is. I had to like, pause for a second and rewind. On one hand I feel like an idiot. On the other hand it’s Rufus from supernatural and he seems happy.

“Grab him,” Tyler ordered to the other pets. “Come on man, this isn't funny!” Danny growled. “Meh, I think it is to be honest,” Tyler chuckled. “Listen, I'm sorry alright?!? I'm sorry!! Just- just don't do this!”

“Hold him still for me, I wouldn't want to pierce anywhere else. Now, Danny, are you gonna be good or do I need to gag you?”

“Neither! Fuck off!”

“Gag it is.”

Tyler placed a rough belt into Danny’s mouth and buckled it behind his head. “Now, this will only be a pinch, so don't you worry your little head about it!” Danny fought. He really did. He cursed into the belt and struggled against the others but he was too weak. He had barely any muscles whereas the others were properly built.

Tyler stepped closer and closer, examining the sewing needle in his hand, “Hmmm, sewing needle or safety pin… I guess the safety pin could be an earring itself!”

He put the sewing needle down and picked up a medium-sized safety pin, “Like I said, only a pinch.” He cradled Danny’s face with one hand and used his wrist to trap Danny’s face. “Now, this will only hurt worse for you if you move buddy!”

That made Danny still immediately. He whined through the belt and Tyler slowly pushed the safety pin through the lobe of Danny’s ear.

Danny let out an agonizing yell, it felt as if his ears were on fire. Tyler chuckled, “Oh I forgot to tell you, I put some salt in the safety pin, hope you don't mind!” That made Tyler scream even louder. Tyler closed the paperclip and smiled as he studied Danny, “Cute.”

Aiden suddenly burst through the door, “What the fuck-” He took in the sight in front of him. Rex and Sam holding Danny down on the ground while Tyler was still pawing at the paper clip which was now attached inside Asher’s ear. Then he had a look at Danny’s ear which was now dripping blood and the blood was slightly smudged on his face. Aiden found himself smiling, “Oh, my, Danny, don't you just look ravishing?!” Danny mumbled something into the belt but it was muffled.

“Tyler, what a great idea! I mean, I want to be angry at you because you didn't ask me first but… I mean look at him! Tyler, bring Danny into the bathroom with me. Come on! Chop chop!”

Tyler dragged Danny -who was slightly nauseous from the loss of blood- into the bathroom.

Aiden fished in drawers, trashing in the cabinets and then suddenly stopped, “Aha! Got it. Tyler, hold Danny still for me, will ya?” Tyler did so, capturing Danny’s hands too after handing the sewing needle over to Aiden, who took it gratefully.

He roughly grabbed and held onto Danny’s ear and in a matter of seconds, he slowly slid the needle through the top cartilage of Danny’s ear. He quickly slid in a hoop as he extracted the needle from his ear.

Tears streamed down Danny’s face as he sobbed into the belt. “Thank you Tyler, you may leave-” He quickly did so, nodding at Aiden and snickering at Danny once his back was to Aiden. The door closed. “-Oh baby,” Aiden cooed as his hands carded through Danny’s hair, sliding them to the back of his head and slowly unbuckled the belt.

“Shhhhh, it's okay,” Aiden whispered, bringing his hands now over Danny’s face and running his thumb over Danny’s cheekbone. He softly brought Danny in front of the mirror Danny gasped at all the blood. “Don't you just look gorgeous, my petal!? You're my gorgeous petal. All mine.”

Got tagged by @ladyaj-13 and as it happens, I do have a couple of fics that I haven’t posted, but which I would really like to finish at some point...! So here goes.

'You what?' Gene's expression of confusion (or disgust, it was hard to tell) cheered Sam up a little. He waved off his friend and turned slightly to look down the narrow alleyway, and to once again read the street sign. It was dark, cold and sleety, a typical Mancunian January evening. Why Gene had chosen this time to meet his snout in this place, of all places, was beyond him.

It took me a while, but I’m finally here with my celebration for reaching the incredible milestone that is 9k followers, I’m celebrating with a special event: drabble prompts for underrated characters! 🎉✨ 

They are basically drabbles and prompts put together, since they’re formatted like a drabble but requested with a prompt provided, in this case them being tropes we all love. There is an additional twist, it being that this celebration will be focusing on underrated characters, being it a combination of characters that deserve more love as well as some characters that haven’t been requested much and that I’m inspired for.

While this celebration is happening, THE OTHER REQUESTS WILL BE CLOSED so I can focus on writing these without getting overwhelmed.

When It All Goes Wrong, Part 7

“Deeks, baby, can you hear me?” He turned his head away, trying to escape the pounding in his head, but it only made something in his upper chest burn instead. “Deeks?”

“Mmm,” he muttered, forcing his eyes open to the blurry image of Kensi leaning over him. She made a relieved sound and grasped his hand, pressing it to her lips. As his vision cleared a little, he noticed the blood on her face, the bruises and suddenly remembered the crash. Valerie and Tom. “Wha’ happened?”

He sat up quickly and let out a shuddery groan, not resisting when Kensi guided him back to the floor, keeping her hand beneath his head as a cushion.

“It’s ok.” Kensi smoothed his hair back, smiling reassuringly.

“Tim and Valerie, are they-?” The last thing he remembered was Kensi tackling Valerie to the ground.

“They’re down for the count,” Kensi reassured him, leaning to the side to reveal Tim’s inert body. He wasn’t so much as twitching. For the life of him, Deeks couldn’t remember how either of them had ended up in the hallway.

Apparently anticipating Deeks’ confusion, Kensi added, “I tied Valerie up after I knocked her out and we took Tim down together.”

“Thank god for that. I don’t really think I’m up for another fight,” he shared and Kensi nodded sympathetically.

“You are looking pretty rough, babe.” She brushed her fingers over the back of his head, gently palpating the skin. Honestly, she didn’t look much better than he felt. Or at least according to his blurry version of the world. “I managed to get through to Eric and he said Sam and Callen are already on their way.”

“How’d they know where to look for us?”

“The GPS in the SUV,” she reminded him. Plus, apparently Eric decided to bug our watches in case we ever went missing again.”

You know, I would be outraged, but I’m just really glad we don’t have to walk anymore. And that Tim and Valerie didn’t kill us, grind our bodies up in a wood chipper and feed us to their pigs.”

“Um, baby, I’m pretty sure that’s from a movie too,” Kensi told him gently.

“Are you sure? I swear I saw a big old pile of wood in back.” With a worried look, Kensi shook her head and he tried to think back. He distinctly remembered Valerie pulling a gun on them, but now wasn’t so sure about the rest. “Then did I imagine the part with the pink carpets in the bathroom too and meeting Mary Tyler Moore?” he asked, starting to feel woozy again.

“Oh, Sweetie, we really need to get you to a hospital.”

“Says the woman with a head injury.”

“Hey, I didn’t roll down a hill and hit my head on a rock,” Kensi reminded. He acknowledged that with a one-sided shrug that still manages to hurt somehow.

“Mm, maybe we can give each other sponge baths,” he suggested, brightening a little.

“I’ll sneak into your room after hours,” she promised, dipping her head to kiss him.

“Best wife ever.” Kensi smiled down at him, gently cradling his head in her lap as they waited for Sam and Callen to arrive.

After Sam leaves with his brother, Jess can't shake the feeling that something is wrong. Her strange feeling is forgotten, however, when she is attacked by a creature that is unlike anything she has ever seen. Jess is saved by a strange man, his companion, and an impossible box and can't help but enjoy the thrill of helping them stop the alien. She also doesn't see the harm on taking him up on his offer for one quick trip- after all, Sam won't be back until Sunday and it is a time machine. What could it hurt?

In the meantime, the demons manage to salvage their plans and send Sam on a mission for vengeance.
