Midoriya Izuku A non-bender from the small Fire Nation Colony, Yuuei, the northernmost colony in the Earth Kingdom. He’s the son of the last Avatar, Toshinori, but he doesn’t know that until much later because Toshinori was killed shortly after Izuku was born and his mother never told him. He’s known Bakugou since they were children, and has always admired his strong bending. Even though he’s a non-bender, he is in no way helpless during a fight. He’s well versed in hand to hand combat, and has created a style of fighting that incorporates different techniques from all the elements. He is very interested in the bending world, and that’s why he’s always been so fascinated with Bakugou’s bending. 

Bakugou Katsuki A prodigy firebender from Yuuei. Bakugou is the son of two firebenders from mainland Fire Nation, and has no problem reminding the people from the colony that he’s “Mainland,” as they call it. In fact, his father was born in the Palace City. Bakugou is still salty that he decided to leave and they ended up in this shitty place, as he likes to say. He’s known Deku since they were young, and has always hated the fact that the other boy always follows him around, even to this day. Bakuguo’s firebending is fueled purely by rage, which makes it very strong (he has a lot of rage). He easily loses control, however. He hates that Todoroki uses his firebending sparingly, because Bakugou wants to fight him to prove that he’s the stronger bender.

this is mostly just a place for me to dump my thoughts about this au, and hopefully get them more in order. My hope is to eventually be able to bring it all together in a comic or fic, but who knows when that’ll happen hahaha. feel free to follow, but I can’t promise regular updates if you do!!

Shinsou Hitoshi Born in the Northern Water Tribe, Shinsou found out he was the Avatar at age 14. He was a naturally strong waterbender, though he’d never had formal lessons so he couldn’t use his bending to its full potential. After it was discovered that he was the Avatar, master waterbender Aizawa Shouta took Shinsou under his wing and began to teach him. Shinsou was able to master waterbending within the next year and a half, and Aizawa even taught Shinsou to bloodbend (don’t tell anybody.) Shinsou also develops the ability to bloodbend with his mind eventually, but he doesn’t tell Aizawa this. He leaves the North Pole when he’s 17 to travel to Ba Sing Se to find an earthbending teacher.
