Canon ef50mm/1,2L USM is the perfect compromise what comes to lens engineering. It's not the sharpest out there (i don't care), but it has a lot of character. Rendering is beautiful and bokeh is creamy. Not to mention it's size compared to other auto focus 50/1,2 lenses too.
