My learning channel
10 posts
I realized how easily I remember things that I read on posts from social media, so I decided to create a profile for my last highschool year for learning. I will take an upper level maturity exam in History and English (which is not my first language) and I will also do an exam in German which means I will mostly post about history and random themes wich can come up on the language exams but I don't cut anything informative out.

I heard the same thing first about writing, from Jenna Moreci. If you only write when you feel motivated, you’ll never finish that book. Push yourself forward, even if you feel like your writing is crappy. Every word added to your story is important - and no time spent on studying is wasted.
Also, if you start doing it, motivation will find you durch the feeling of actually doing something. Be determined.
Motivation is overrated. No amount of motivation would’ve gotten me through hours of my accounting textbook. No “vision” is enough to keep me awake til the crack of dawn on an essay that I don’t even know if the professor will check. Discipline is what determines how far you go. On those days when your cute little list of #goals and vision of yourself 5 years from now aren’t enough, discipline will pull you out of bed and get you to work. I wish I knew this in high school because I thought I couldn’t work without motivation. I wasted so much time trying to find purpose before I realized that working now, albeit blindly, will ensure that I could chase any purpose I discover in the future. Sure, motivation is crucial, but it’s not consistent. It’s not reliable. You can only rely on yourself and your grit.

If someone says it’s raining and another person says it’s dry, it’s not your job to quote them both. It’s your job to look out the window and find out which is true.

DSD - mein Tod
Ich habe die Sprachprüfung heute, wünscht ihr mir Glück!
Was ist DSD? DSD bedeutet Deutsches Sprachdiplom.

Denmark wanted to gain territories from the Germans which caused the war of Schlesswig-Holstein between 1863-65. The Prussians and the Austrians (who were that time fighting over the leadership of the German union) defeated them together and won the two regions. BUTTTT the Prussian chancellor, Bismarck, was like “oh, this will be great” and divided the territories so that when the Austrians wanted to get to theirs (Holstein) they had to go through Prussia and when the Prussians wanted to get to Schlesswig, they had to go through the Austrian territory which would 110% lead to conflict.
Why did Bismarck find it a good idea? I honestly don’t understand but the answer lays somewhere near to the fact that the Prussian-Austrian war took time the next year.

German little things
So the German equivalent to “among” is “unter” which also translates to “under”. So when you say in German something like “wolf among sheeps” you say “Wolf unter Lämmer” aka wolf under sheeps.
You didn’t become much smarter but this is a fun fact, I think.

Hi!
So this is my introduction besides the one under the profile picture on my blog. Sorry for my mistakes - feel free to correct my grammar but please don’t kill me for it - I’m improving. Maybe I’ll write sometimes in German weil ich nächste Woche eine Sprachprüfung mache.
