What if Twilight became a dragon

An AU where during Twilight’s magical surge she and the dragon she hatched swap races. She is now a new species of dragon that is aligned with magic and magic casting, and the dragon she just hatched is now a foal.

She still becomes Celestias personal student and somewhat of an adopted daughter, and the foal gets adopted by Celestia as her son. The foal being named Flaming Aurora (his hair looks like a on fiery aurora borealis) and surprisingly looks like Celestia’s biological son.

During the magic surge Twilight becomes a huge dragon like spike does in canon, so imagine a huge baby/teen dragon having the worst time imaginable with magic.

I also like to imagine that most of the nobility absolutely despise the Princesses adopted daughter……because they ask for stupid wishes and her immediate reaction is either

And when Twilight meets Rainbow they actually get along really well and especially when it comes to bad mouthing entitled people asking for asinine things and how often they twist wishes into pranks and moments of forceful learning.

I can see their first interaction with Discord actually going decently well, considering the circumstances! Discord finding out his magic doesn’t quite affect these six correctly. These six finding out this big noodle of chaos is pretty similar to them magic wise and they hit it off like a wild fire. Maybe they don’t even need to imprison him again, look at these six that represent harmony Celly and lulu!! Aren’t they a ball!!

He kinda becomes a funny uncle for Twilight in particular.

I can see Celestia putting a ton of rules in place for him though. His favorite is probably still Fluttershy honestly. Look at this one! Isn’t she adorable!! Discord being tamed by friendship in the most chaotic way possible, finding others like himself. Not so lonely anymore!

Maybe he himself is a fallen star, maybe Luna when a lot younger tries to make a friend for her and her sister to play with and she ends up creating discord. First of his kind, and the only one for a while. He’s so chaotic because of him being the first of his kind, an experiment, a first try. Luna was forced to perfect her craft while stuck with nightmare in the moon. Not that she’s upset about it, she lives all her star creations, even Discord. One of her first friends she ever made…..quite literally.

I can definitely see Starlight Glimmer doing that. Singling twilight out for knowledge, power, and what she sees as justice. But the thing with Twilight’s wishes is that you don’t get what you want, you get what you need. And I can see that time traveling episode happening, but it’s just twilight and starlight. And it’s just watching things unfold. You want to see what would happen if what you want comes to pass? Let’s take a look then. Twilight will show you what would have happened. Starlight doesn’t like what she sees. Especially when it comes to the last one that’s just ashes. She caused this?

I also love the idea of each of them getting abilities from Luna, intentionally or unintentionally. I also kinda like the idea of the six of them being able to grant wishes to small degrees depending upon their specific talents and skills.

Pinkie pie would be really good at granting wishes on birthdays and other parties. Granting wishes to others who need cheered up. She wants a smile on that face (or equivalent if you have resting bitch face like me lol)

Rarity would be good a granting wishes to others in need, and to those who remain generous and overcome jealousy or greed.

Apple Jack would grant wishes to those who are honest and trustworthy, and show strength.

Rainbow Dash would grant wishes to those who are loyal and courageous.

Fluttershy would grant wishes to those who remain kind in difficult circumstances and times. And similarly to rarity to those in need.

Twilight……maybe to those who seek knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. Perhaps even justice. The knowledge you NEED might not be the knowledge WANT however. Is it worth it? You can turn back now before you regret what you’ve heard. Do you want to turn back or keep moving forward?

What if Fluttershy got an army of clones of herself

An AU where Fluttershy is the one who uses the mirror pool, using it so she can take care of all of her animal friends while also spending time with her pony friends. This surprisingly gets out of hand (hoof?) fast as the animals do notice that these clones are not the real Fluttershy and proceed to revolt to look for the real one. And many of clones want to wander off and tend to wild animals, wandering off into the Everfree and pestering the chaotic wildlife and causing more havoc. This was supposed to be a calm day of spending time with her friends, where did it all go so wrong?

Optional additions/notes-

How did Fluttershy get the information about the mirror pool and its incantation? From pinkie pie directly? Over hearing her? From Zecora either directly or indirectly? Maybe she just stumbles upon it and gets one of those plot convenient light bulb moments, like the pool telling it to her itself. Fluttershy has a way with chaotic magical entities after all!

How do they handle the clone situation? It should be more obvious who the real one is at least right? RIGHT??

What are the chances that if Luna was in Celestias situation (needing to imprison her sister with the elements) she would probably look a lot like nightmare moon. But perhaps a bit more Aurora themed instead of just shadows and stars.

I agree with the choices of the main six for each Alicorn. I also really love symbolism and drama! Storge Having this sense that these families are grieving a lost loved one and a sinking feeling it’s because of YOU. How do you feel when your existence is causing others grief? But they and their sibling/friend have to remember, it’s not their fault that this happened.

I can see Cadence being a huge support for the two of them. Like celestia was for her in the past. These are her siblings now! Who is more qualified than her (and maybe Discord) to teach them how their powers work. Being powers over very key aspects of emotions. Cadence had another alicorn to teach her sure. But Celestia didn’t know much about magic tied to emotions, she’s a celestial alicorn. Cadence has probably trouble shooting her own powers for her entire alicorn hood.

I can see Celestia and Luna wanting to keep things quiet about the two new alicorns. but I think they and cadence would want the families to know the truth of where their loved ones went. Even if they don’t remember, their component’s families deserve to know. It’s why they exist, they want the grieving process to happen naturally. I can see each family being mostly supportive of the alicorns, it’s not their fault after all. They are their own ponies!

Depending on how you characterize Twilight’s parents though I can see that being a bit of a 50/50.
