i’ve seen some ppl claim beck in the comics wears a suit with fake muscle padding and he’s not actually strong, he’s just a drama geek, he wouldn’t work out. listen that is actually so incorrect and here’s why:

in the comics, when beck failed to make a name for himself in hollywood as a director/writer/sfx artist, he became a professional stuntman to pay the bills. come here, listen—- stuntmen have insane strength, INSANE strength, to pull off the stuff that they do. they’re durable as hell, and acrobatic to a decent degree. trust me, beck would be keeping in really good shape for a job like that. he works out. he lifts. those moments when he does some crazy ass roundhouse kicks at spodrman aren’t for show, he’s as physically capable as he is psychologically. he’s not like, a highly trained fighter or anything, but he’s by no means weak, and his physique isn’t all an illusion.

her support is something he thought would come unconditionally. he believed that she believed in him. isn't that what friends do? root for each other, no matter what? or maybe she just doesn't think as highly of him as he wants, or needs, her to. maybe every time she supports him, she's only ever saying what she thinks he wants to hear. and now the truth comes out, inviting a constricting feeling into his chest.

beck’s voice gets higher in pitch the more excited he gets, it’s a distinct giveaway of his enthusiasm and it can be endearing. but it’s also something he hates about himself, he thinks it's an unappealing quality and wishes he could stop.
