Yknow what I LOVE about the Star Trek fandom? It’s ANCIENT. I had a talk with a nice old lady at the old persons home that my great grandma is in and she noticed my Spock shirt and was like “oh I love that show I thought the premise was lovely” and you all know THE PREMISE is trekspeak for spirk and I was like “do you accept the premise because I do” and she looked at me with the eyes of someone who is reliving their otp moments and she said “the premise is all I wrote about, dear” and we just talked about spirk for a hella long time and I just love how age doesn’t matter in this fandom you can be ninety and still be the biggest spirk bitch ever how rad is that

Note
..... How many times did Spock insult McCoy over his "potions" again?
So if Star Trek contains Young Wizards or vice versa, and Star Trek contains Star Wars -- well, the Star Wars Universe contains Earth and Indiana Jones (per "Into the Great Unknown", _Star Wars Tales_), which means we need a Star Trek/Star Wars/Young Wizards/Indiana Jones mashup that's all canonical. =)
(follows this line of reasoning to one of its [way too many] logical conclusions)
Indiana Jones... as a wizard?
...MMMF.
(walks off hastily, fanning herself)

The backdrops in TOS are certainly a choice however I do appreciate how often they have characters stand in front of a bi flag gradient

spock was born in 2230 which means that he could have spoken to solkar up until age 20. (when solkar died in 2250)
that’s fucking insane. the first vulcan to meet humans face-to-face, your great-grandpa, and you could ASK him PERSONALLY about his experiences. his slutty handshake is the reason YOU EXIST, because otherwise amanda grayson and sarek would not have met.
his slutty handshake is the reason you meet your husband, too. (although that wont happen for 13 more years).
this man is solely responsible for all human-alien relations, not just vulcan-human ones, because he ushered the humans into an alliance that would later develop into the federation. all because he kissed some old dude he just met.
legend.

our house has four fridge poetry sets: erotic fridge poetry (gift from my mother), star trek fridge poetry (I bought it on etsy), aphorism fridge poetry (gift from @swordfern’s mother), and s*pernatural fridge poetry (swordfern bought it). @pirisquills has not yet contributed a weird set, but has authored many delightful dirty refrigerator poems for us to enjoy.

This conversation is great all over, but Kirk smiling as soon as he lays eyes upon Spock is an absolutely gay aesthetic

Sassy Kirk is the best Kirk lmao and as soon as Spock enters his field of vision…
Tumblr media
Yeah. Get yourself someone, who looks at you that way fellas!
And he keeps smiling to himself for a while, gee

And as his face darts back to Spock…

Star Trek can make as many new series and movies as they like, and still nothing will ever truly beat the golden awkwardness of this one shining minute of dialogue.
