Once again thinking about how fitting it would have been to continue Jo’s character as a secret Winchester sister and have her take Adam’s place. Jo who has always wanted to hunt, to cross the borders of the civilised normal world, ignorant and in need of protection, into the world of hunters and monster, trying to reach the highly masculinised standards and assimilating into the hunting framework, only to be pushed back into the role of an innocent blonde woman, infantilised, idealised and rejected at every turn because there is no space for Jo to reside in, despite her attempts to carve one. That Jo ascending to the position she envied Dean for through fusing with Michael, who represents everything Dean is supposed to be, everything Jo wants to be.
