WEEK13: Assignment 3 Postmortem
In this week's Lecture class, we found some testers. During the testing period, we recorded the data of the testers. Based on the testers' reactions and testing, we deepened the colors of the game and changed the background of the game. Some minor changes were made to the enemy's rocket volume.

Week 11: Assignment 3 Playtesting
This week we tested our game and found some bugs.
First bug: The enemy is unable to drop one of the resources normally.
Second bug:Mouse cannot function and display properly.
Third bug: GDeveloped on webpage unable to launch game normally.
After this test, we made changes to the background and mouse texture. The current background can provide players with a better experience and mood.Now,The mouse's aiming can also more accurately strike enemies.

WEEK10: Assignment 3 Development Progress
My roles of ASS3 are designer and testing. So I formulated the enemy's logic.
Enemy Ship1: Has low health and will fire bullets from the turret in front of it. Launch every second Enemy Ship2:Will fire bullets from three different directions. Launch every 1.5 seconds

Here are two different functions of mini boss ship First function of mini boss:It will fire bullets in 10 different directions, firing bullets around every 2 seconds, and has a high health rating. Second function of mini boss:It has a high value of shield and health, and players must prioritize shooting its shield. After the shield disappears, players can shoot its body. He will fire bullets in three different directions from the front turret, firing six bullets at a time. Launch every 2 seconds.

The first form, the boss of the first form, has 4 turrets, and two turrets near the boss are used to launch missiles, firing a missile that tracks the player every 3 seconds. The other two turrets are used to shoot lasers, which are fired every 5 seconds and will be directed towards the player's position. This type of boss has a high amount of shield and two additional turrets. The new two turrets are also used to launch lasers. WEEK9: Racing Post Mortem
During the week 9’s lesson,I made some changes to the original Car Racing. I have reduced the collision volume of players' vehicles and trees, reducing the difficulty of the game. Now players can better avoid vehicles colliding with them. To prevent players from running outside the map, I added a command that collisions will occur when players collide with trees. After 3 seconds of an explosion, the player will reset in place. But when I test, players will generate infinite explosive animations when they encounter trees. I am trying to fix this problem.

WEEK8:Racing Development Post
This week we conducted programming and design for Car Racing. I have improved the collision volume and regeneration system on top of the original game. Now when players collide with NPC, they will explode. After 3 seconds, it will be reset in place. And every time a player dodges an NPC car, their score will increase by 100.

Week7:Racing Elevator Pitch
The background of this game is that a car accidentally enters a retrograde lane, and it needs to constantly avoid vehicles to ensure that it is not harmed. As mentioned in the introduction, players need to protect themselves by avoiding vehicles. Every time a player dodges a vehicle, their score will increase by 100. Week7:Asteroids Post Mortem
In the week 7’s lesson, I made some modifications and additions to the textures of Asteroids to make the game more interesting. A reset system and special effects system have been added, which will explode when the player's spaceship collides with enemy spaceships and meteorites. After this, players need to wait for 3 seconds, and then a new spaceship will be reborn for players to use. In the development process of this game, I learned how to make objects fire bullets and randomly regenerate.

Week5:Asteroids Elevator Pitch
This game is about a spaceship that needs to destroy meteorites in space to escape the meteorite zone.Player will use mouse to control the character.When player press the left mouse button the spaceship will shoot bullets.If bullets hit the meteorties,the meteorites will be destroyed.Also,meteorites spawn points are random.Some of the meteorites may spawn on palyers’ face.So players need to control the spaceship carefully. The audience of this game is children aged 5-7, as it is a puzzle game that can exercise their brain thinking.

WEEK4:Asteroids
This week we need to work at home.
For week4,we need to develop a new game.In this game, the character will control by mouse.When players click left button of mouse,the character will fire bullets.But when a player collides with an NPC or meteorite, their spaceship will be destroyed. After I complete this game, I found that the spaceship was unable to fire bullets as normal. So I am try to fixing this bug.

WEEK3:Gdevelop and Platformer Development Post
We start use Gdevelop to develop games. Our first game combines jumping machines and walking machines. Also,the map includes some NPCs and coins. Players can kill NPCs by jumping, but some of them have their own walking routes.

WEEK2:Platformer Elevator Pitch
The name of this prototype is Alien please run fast. This prototype contains elements of PVE and RPG.The background of this game is set on an alien planet. After an UFO has crashed, it needs to pass the level by killing monsters, picking up items, and coins.
This game will include 10 different professions and hundreds of weapons,each profession has different skills.
There will be a total of three main levels, and five sub-levels within these three main levels. There will be a random number of rooms on each sub-levels.There will be monsters, merchants, props and weapon in different rooms. In the last level of each main level, there will be a boss. After the player kills the boss, the boss will drop a weapon and an ability. The player can pick up weapons to enter the next level or pick up abilities to enter the next level. The higher the level, the stronger the monster's numerical value and attack method. Players will receive coins and resources after they complete the level. They can use these things to upgrade their character's abilities or character's level.
The target audience of the player group is young people whose aged between 12 to 18 young people. Because the levels and monsters in this game are random, players will not feel bored. And players can upgrade their score by  passing levels constantly.

Breaking the Ice: Introduce ourselves
My name is Frank Fu(n11466472). This is my first year in QUT. I am studying Game design. My favorite games are Counter-Strike and Escape From Tarkov. I already spend 2000 hours on Escape From Tarkov.
My dream job is Game developer. I played a lot of different types of games. Also, one of my hobbies is playing games. So I choose the game design major. And I want to develop a realistic MMORPG game.
I will use this blog to record weekly workshops and the progress of my work.
