spending time with him was one of her favorite things to do, so when they had agreed on having dinner together despite his tight schedules, naeun was over the moon, determined to make their time enjoyable. needless to say, she had prepared everything for the evening, wanting to make sure that things would go smoothly during the cooking process and the subsequent dinner. “you know i already bought everything we might need, right?” laughter bubbled from her lips at the sight of his grocery bag, though she reassured him that she didn’t mind it. a bright ‘thank you’ and a kiss on his cheek were, hopefully, enough to let him know that she appreciated his thoughtful gesture. “so, what dessert is chef ming planning on making for us tonight?” she questioned as she revealed the apron she’d bought for him, one that would match the apron she was already wearing.

with the addition of gambler promotions to the mix of his individual schedules, minhyuk was busier than ever. still, he made sure to use what spare time he had to be over at naeun’s, so they wouldn’t miss each other too much when he can’t tend to his phone. this time, they’d settled on dinner plans, with her cooking the main meals and he’d work on the desserts afterwards. he couldn’t count how many videos he’d watched until he finally managed to decide on what he wanted to make. of course, even though she might’ve had certain ingredients at home, it was still easier to simply buy all of them. that was what he’d thought then - and it was why he had a full grocery bag with him when he stepped into her apartment. maybe naeun will say he went a little overboard, but he’d like to think that he was just being a prepared boyfriend.
