The darkness dissolved like ink in water, and Xandra found herself standing at the edge of something that defied comprehension.

The Chamber of Overflow stretched infinitely in all directions—a vast cosmic ocean of pure, undiluted love in every form imaginable. Waves of golden light crashed and swirled around floating islands of crystallized emotion. Each drop contained entire relationships: first kisses that sparked like stars, heartbreak that painted the water deep purple, familial bonds that glowed warm amber, friendships that danced in silver spirals.

But it was too much. Far too much.

The sheer volume of it pressed against her consciousness like a tidal wave. She could feel every connection, every emotion, every beating heart across countless timelines and realities. The love between strangers on distant worlds, the grief of mothers who'd lost children, the joy of reunited lovers, the complex tangle of polyamorous networks, the quiet devotion of elderly couples—all of it flowing through her simultaneously.

Xandra staggered, clutching her head as the overwhelming surge threatened to drown her completely. This wasn't just seeing love—this was being love, channeling the entire universe's capacity for connection through her mortal consciousness.

In the center of the churning ocean stood a throne carved from pure starlight, waiting. But between her and it raged a maelstrom of emotional energy so intense it could shatter minds, hearts that beat with the rhythm of dying suns, love so powerful it had destroyed entire civilizations.

The voice of the quest resonated through the chaos:

"To be Count is to hold all love without being consumed by it. To be the vessel through which infinite connection flows, while remaining yourself. Cross the Overflow, Count-to-be. Prove you can contain eternity without losing your humanity."

The final trial had begun.
