i've been very busy with work recently and haven't been able to draw much fanart, but i did manage to finish this one today! i've wanted to draw Essek and Verin for months, and i also really miss fancy dynasty clothes 🤭

Orym has come such a long way from "I'm not doing crime, I'm babysitting" and yet . . . Here he is essentially watching out for people. He may not like it, but he's going to help them plan and execute it in a way that keeps the most people safe.

Orym keeps trying to tell people what happened to him, to his family, because of Ludinus and his cult, but it seems like no one is listening. No one cares. He has to keep reminding his own friends of the horrible losses he suffered because of this. The vendetta is more important than the people it hurts.

And so Orym helps this vendetta, in order to mitigate harm. But what does Orym want? Where are his needs now? He told Imogen she could lean on him, once, but all these weeks later who is Orym leaning on?

His sword, his Sending Stones, his shield, his memories . . . What does Orym have left? What would Orym ask for if someone finally offered to help *him*?
