then, we were snow leopards.

briefly stood on hind paws,

dropping back to all fours,

prints in the snow;

we knew we'd changed,

but at the same time

we were always snow leopards,

here in the unfamiliar mountains

that, nonetheless, felt like home. ✨

I had TF plans for us, there would have been a ritual and fairy dust and shiny lights and stuff but honestly it's too warm for all that

turns out there's folks who,

when you say something like

"I bet you're secretly a ferret,"

it actually comes true.

they might say they aren't a ferret

while fur sprouts, tail grows,

round ears, whiskers, dooking,

right up until they are a ferret

and it's not a secret at all~

we could be martens today?

ears, snoots, nimble paws,

slinking up the tree,

good and long and soft,

more and more tail,

bouncing, scampering,

little bit of chasing

and critter sounds

but it's all fun,

happy martens~ 💚

and wow they are beautiful creatures

with fur and hooves and scales

in all colours and shapes,

but, you were just being whimsical,

electric, from head to toes,

paws, growing, shoes shed,

socks split by claws,

clicks, shivers, shudders,

fur sprouts, clothes tear,

tail bobs, ears flick,

muzzle big, strange, new,

and all it took was

this small glass ball,

warm, bright like the moon:

It was a nice, relaxing TF meet,

until there was lots of noise outside

of everyone else becoming creatures:

paws and hooves, feathers and more--

wait, it just seemed to skip this room?

no worries, though;

as soon as we stepped out,

the changes began straight away~ ❤️

trying to explain it's fine that you're turning into a creature, but

it's hard to form words with a muzzle like that,

it's tricky to type or write with paws,

and the enhanced sounds and smells are pretty distracting as well

later:

"oh, I guessed it was fine. you seemed really happy" ❤️

happily brushing through fur,

except, the fur is your own,

spreading, colouring,

dotting you with rosettes,

claiming each hand, tingly fingers

kneaded into soft puffy paws,

down onto fours, stretching,

round eyes, whiskers,

long tail to nibble,

m-mow, mow... mow~ 💙
