GOOD LORD.
While I very much knew what to expect I must say that actually seeing it is a different beast. (The me who tapped this fic out in the midst of a laughing fit would have never anticipated seeing the work be printed out at all for one). The color coding, underlining and scrawled notes and summary at the end really blasted me back to my old english classes too (Don’t worry, I too have near illegible handwriting so this is pretty readable to me plus I can’t write in a straight line on a paper to save my life :P).
But I am genuinely so chuffed to see my own thought process displayed in so easy a way to understand. I can look at that pink highlighted text and realize how I like to keep themes and reoccurings bits throughout my works. Or I can see the ridiculous amount of fuchsia underline and smile at the fact that I do really play off the characters in a way that can be considered faithful to canon. GAH I just really love this so much I don’t know how to express it outside of just… a mix of these two:

I am very much in awe, though. Thank you very much. I’m so glad you got insight out of it! You’re a heck of a writer yourself, and if it helps, we’re all the better for it!
As a side note this is also a heck of a way to find my typos/grammar mistakes thank you for that too. Really should give the older fics another look through!
there's something so addicting about your writing style that just perfectly evokes this amazing comedy feel and I feel you should know this. I feel it's too invasive to just. do. but I would literally literarily analyze one of your anhane or akito fics because the writing is just so so so peak. augh what are your secrets...
Hello friend! Thank you so very much for the compliment! Although my writing process is a bit chaotic in its organisation I do put a lot of thought into the interactions and how best to make them entertaining to read. That being said…
PLEASE ANALYZE MY WORK.
You have my full, very willing permission to analyze literally any of my works in your own time, with the caveat that you share that analysis with me. Because, I, myself, love going back to my own works and rereading them and I struggle to accurately articulate just what it is that makes them so entertaining outside of just calling them indulgent.
So you, along with anyone else who reads this, should really know that I absolutely adore engagement of any kind on my stuff, whether it be my writing or art. Incoherent spamming, Thoughts, opinions, dissections, dissertations, discussions, debates, I’ll gladly take it all. So please do not feel the need to hold back!

It’s already been said here better than I could ever tell it but I’ve always been under the impression that singing is like a whole emotional language of its own to VBS, but An most notably.
When I think of any scene where Kohane has to sing, for instance, she always has it in her head that she has to express her emotions and let them be heard. Akito’s realization in Burn my soul was that he shouldn’t be repressing his emotions in his singing cause that’s what gives it power, and Toya’s Concerto event is literally about him trying to encapsulate everyone’s stories into his song writing. The entire singoff between Anhane in Wimp girl was never just An declaring she’s gonna start trying to surpass Kohane too, it was also them both having that ‘conversation’ where An expresses all her insecurities and percieved weakness while Kohane accepts it all and promises to stay by her side.
My point is that you can’t seperate singing from expressing emotion when it comes to VBS.
So yeah, in lutf, though it may have seemed odd out of context, VBS singing there was very much the equivalent of them shouting all their feelings to Taiga. They were shouting about how they want to achieve their dream no matter what (which is yeah, very shounen). And they were definitely thinking of An while singing, being both worried and wanting her to push on. But they had to sing, because that sing off against Taiga was for them a fundamental moment, their chance to prove they’re ready to surpass the event they’ve dedicated themselves to (they were, of course, very not ready but that’s not the point). An herself agrees by literally saying all she knows how to do is sing, reiterating that it is her primary form of expression, her innate way of communicating how she feels, but of course she didn’t at all have the time to process her grief which is why she ultimately crumbled (again though, it’s not the point). If VBS had completely abandoned their singing to comfort An then, it would have just proven that they completely lacked the foundation of beating an event as emotionally rife as RAD WEEKEND, being, the ability and drive to put their deepest emotion into song, to put pain into lyrics like Nagi did. I think that was in part what Taiga was testing anyways, and VBS passed.
To avoid really parroting, I will just say that all the spoken condolences definitely happened afterwards.
what do you think the worst thing any main project sekai character has done?
feel free to be as specific as u want idgaf im just v curious and bored

"Oh to spend time with my favorite person in the world Kohane and sing with Kohane and go out and see new things with Kohane and hug Kohane and lovingly look into Kohane’s pretty eyes and call Kohane cute and look Kohane in the eyes some more and tell Kohane how much she means to me and just love Kohane—"

Sleepover: Featuring a hint of my (kinda future) VBS designs
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Headcanon dump below:
An is one day woken up by a call from Akito at a very questionable time of night. Very confused and concerned, she answers only to be immediately hung up on.
It takes a lot of spamming and calling in order to finally get Akito to answer the phone.
An, far more worried now, questions Akito only to recieve short, snappy non answers. It takes a ton of pestering for An to figure out that Akito isn’t actually at his house.
"Wait, Akito?! Where are you?!"
There’s a long dead silence on the phone, before:
"Outside."
"No, I understood that. But where. Are. You."
"Outside, idiot."
"Akito, I’m actually not in the mood for this, I’m actually getting—"
"I’m outside your house, dumbass."
An wakes up Ken and gets him up to speed. They both rush downstairs to find Akito sitting on the front porch with nothing but a sports bag. He refuses to directly look at either of them.
"Didn’t know where else to go," he only says.
There are no further questions asked.
Akito is given a spare futon in the living room, and he tries to leave the next day with only a mumbled thanks.
Ken stops him with a hand on his shoulder and pulls him aside for a long talk. The conclusion of it is that Akito is given unofficial permission to stay the night at the Shiraishi household whenever he needs to.
I’d say this lil comic takes place a good year or so after the event:
Akito does end up coming over a few more times, but it isn’t at all habit. He just shows up at night with little warning and leaves in the morning just as abruptly.
They don’t talk much about it. (The tiger sleeping mask was a gift from Kohane, I wonder who tipped her off that Akito uses them?)
An, one time, wanted to give him something a little more comfortable to sleep on.
Akito refused to to be the sole one to take the mattress.
They compromise, meaning Akito is all but manhandled until he gives.
An severely regrets having insisted so much.
Akito gets a far more restful sleep than he anticipated. He does not believe An the next day when she sourly tells him he thrashes like he’s fighting demons while unconscious.
They somehow end up sharing the mattress several more times, much to An’s chagrin.
