namu had seemingly taken a bit of a notice to the student that was seemingly cramming for an exam. though, it was something that namu would see rather often, after all. considering the fact that a lot of students would come in to study, the café really created a nice atmosphere for that. plus, considering how often namu spent time within the café, he had really noticed it from time to time when it was during the day - or sometimes late at night when they hadn't closed yet. nonetheless, namu had always been well aware of his surroundings and what was going on; mainly because he always liked to be sure others were okay - especially since they were under the roof of the café while he's there, essentially under his care, in some sort of way, even though he's merely providing a service. he continues on, still, doing all the work that he tends to do. he was working cash register today and making drinks, something that he would usually be doing - his face seemed to always be out in the front doing things. he was the familiar face, most likely. he takes more orders and makes more drinks, he does rather enjoy this work. but, he knows there's something different in his future, this was his for now - until his dreams finally come to fruition, it was just all in time.
namu had cleaned up behind the counter a bit, as he awaited for the next customers to come up to the cash register. his smile grows a bit more as he's spoken to - namu always couldn't help but to light up whenever someone spoke to him. "hi!" he greets, happily. he nodded his head, putting the order in. "sure thing!" he says, "will that be all?" he asked, before grabbing a cup to write it. he decided to not charge for the extra sweetener, especially because the other seemed distressed. "will that be all for your order?" he asked. "um, also, are you doing okay? do you need any help? you looked a little distressed at your table earlier!"

cramming for an exam the day before was one of the dumbest decisions seolhyun has ever made in her life. she regretted skipping so many classes, turning her assignments in late, and just over all being a bad student. she wouldn't be in this predicament if she just put in a little bit more effort, but then again she didn't see the point in algebra. she could count way past 100 if she wanted, she could even do basic math; addition, subtraction, multiplication...who cares if she needed to use her fingers? or even a calculator for the harder problems? her professor apparently cared. the only person in the world who cared about seolhyun's ability to do math. so here she is. in some little café, books sprawled all over her table. maybe if she stared at the textbook hard enough, the information will telepathically go to her brain. she looked over her notes, hoping they will somehow help her. she let out an aggravated huff noticing all the doodles of hearts, flowers, smiley faces... and the clear lack of anything math related written inside.
deciding to take a break from her studies, or really procrastinating on getting started, seolhyun deicides to order. she ordered when she first arrived, a muffin sitting on her table, but she needed caffeine. that's something college students need when they crammed for an exam, right? walking over to the register, she looked over the menu, deciding on a seasonal item, and walked over to the cashier. she smiled and let out a friendly greeting, "hi there! tis the season for pumpkin spice! can i get a medium, with extra sweetener please!"

he always did his best to pay attention to those baseball games that his uncle had taken him to throughout his life, one of those bonding type of things that the two had together. though, he definitely probably wouldn't be able to get out there and actually play baseball. sure, he knows some of the rules and all that, but he definitely is not someone who can play sports. so, he'll just stick to going to the gym from time to time - that really seemed more like it. but, hopefully the watching of it really helps namu to be able to throw a ball at a more precise manner for a game booth game. all that really matters, though, is having fun! which seemingly almost came easily to namu.
there's a chuckle that leaves namu's lips. he understands, considering he's a fan of plushies himself; having his own collection that he's added to since he was little - something that he keeps rather organized, much like his albums, books, and vinyl records. namu just always really liked the cute things, that's for sure. "ah, should i try to keep winning, so nothing is left behind?" namu jokes, a giggle leaving his lips once again. his smile grows so more, "it's no problem really!" he said, nodding his head excitingly. and with that, namu is sure to finally start.
namu chuckled happily - it was always nice to hear that he was doing well. though, he almost felt like he should have hit it fully on the first shot. but, hey, second shot is always the key, right? he nodded his head, chuckling once more. he nodded his head as he listened, "it's okay! i think you might be right!" namu says, before he angles himself different, lining himself up. once again, he brings his hand back, getting himself ready. "i play a little too many arcade games!" he states, a giggle leaving his lips this time. nonetheless, he looks forward again, before aiming his hand in a certain way, bringing it forward, then back once more. he then proceeds to make his throw, with a loud boom of everything falling. a loud, excited laugh seemingly leaves him afterwards.
jae finds himself looking over the game booth. sure it seems like it looks easy but even if it was, jae knows he sucks at anything like this. maybe his hand-eye coordination was better in certain games. he's never been a sports person and didn't ever watch sports unless he had to which wasn't often. he only knew what he heard from mutual friends but that information didn't stay in him mind. he would probably try since he was sure it would be fun. at least having fun counted right? that's all that mattered today especially when he got to do so alongside someone else.
plushies were definitely a weakness for jae and he wanted more than anything to have one in his possession. his love for cute things were too strong and he just couldn't help but want it. "they are. don't think i could leave any of them here." he giggles, his gaze going back to the other male. hearing that caused jae to smile, his cheeks burning some. "aww, i'd appreciate that. you're too sweet." he never expected anyone to be kind like this. just made him adore being around namu. "you got this!" he cheered.
watching as namu took the shot, he could already see that his throwing skills were much better than him. "it's fine, you've done good so far." he complimented a bit. "that's true, sure you'll do even better." he made sure to think positively and he had all the faith in the other. "hmm, your form is good already. i'd say make sure the angle and everything are as lined up as possible. though i don't know what i'm talking about with sports." he giggled again after the words left his mouth. "i bet. you are doing better than i would honestly." he lets namu know. though deep down he wants to slip a flirt in but he'd wait till after since he didn't wanna mess up the other male's concentration.

namu wasn't entirely sure how he had managed to lose his friends. but, it was a rather big crowd and they seemed to be distracted by other things going on at the market. namu, of course, really wanted to play games, and there was one that he was yearning after to play. so, he kind of just stayed in lines. he assumes that he'd be able to find his friends again, at some point. or they'd find him - everyone would usually find him.
he finally gets pulled up to the game, with a person that he doesn't know. but, that's more than okay, namu was always good at making friends or at least working with strangers. his smile stayed all the same, rather wide and excited because he finally gets to play. he nodded his head, "i think i'm pretty good at it! or i could just determine the best strategy to accomplish the win!" he said, his smile growing a bit more as he chuckled softly. his eyes move to the puppy plushie, eyes sparkling a bit more. "the puppy plushie is going to go home with you!"
he nodded his head, eyes going forward once more. "i don't think that'll be too hard!" he said, eyes looking upon it. he takes the balls that are handed to him as well, gently placing them in front of himself. eyes look back again, figuring out how he should go forward. he looks over towards the other again, before bowing towards the other. "it's nice to meet you! i'm namu!"

haein had been looking for her friend for about five minutes before giving up. surely, she'd return because haein hasn't moved from her spot. however, the game that she'd been wanting to play has finally opened up in front of her, and she had nobody to play it with.
pursing her lips together, she looked around in line before the person hosting the game pulled her up along with another individual who looked like he was here alone. "hi! how good are you at this? because i really want that puppy plushie that's up there!" she said with a chuckle before pointing out one of the dolls that was hung up behind the booth.
"i'm pretty sure we have three tries each to get the ball in the basket." with that, she picked up one of the balls being handed to her before realizing she hadn't even introduced herself because she was so immersed in the game. "i'm haein by the way!"

sometimes namu felt a bit odd about days off, truth be told. he almost never knew what to do with himself - he was just glad that he was partaking in vocal class with the vocal trainer that he's seen since he was young, considering it did give him something to do. but, for now, he was just going to run around; grab a few things for himself, treat himself in some way. it at least gave himself something to do, which he always felt like he needed. perhaps, maybe he'll spend some time reading in a bookstore to decide on what book he wanted - even if it was clear that namu didn't need anymore books, to put it lightly. he moves along, someone who had always walked a bit quickly in pace; so, it probably wouldn't be long till namu was where he was going.
there's a concern upon namu's face when he hears what's a matter. it had to be scary - for the both of them, the other's dog being gone and the dog had to feel a bit scared, not entirely sure where they might be. he thinks there's a good possibility that the dog might be close by. he couldn't have gone far, right? at least, namu really hopes so. he personally really loves dogs, but the only actual experience he has with a dog is animal shelter volunteering. but, he thinks he knows enough from research and everything to help!
namu nodded his head firmly. "i can help you!" he says. he takes in the information, making sure to absorb it. "is there anything else about mango that i should know? anything that can help find him?" he asked, just to be double sure. "i'm sure he can't have gone far! don't worry, we'll find mango!" namu says, doing his best to reassure. he takes a few steps away, "mango!" he calls out, before he starts looking under things, in bushes, and things of that nature, close by, before he'd start to move further. "should we split up or do you think it would be easier to look together?"

unspecified location, streets of seoul. with @noelxbe.
it had been any normal day for namu, truth be told. he didn't really have anything exciting going on today. he had worked an early morning café shift, as well as practiced his vocals - something that he'll normally do on the daily or every few days, considering how important it is to him. he'll have his vocal class with his vocal teacher that he's worked with since he was younger later on that day. but, for now, he just so happened to have a lot of time to spare to do things. so, off on some errands or something, namu decided to go. maybe he'd get a new book today, or maybe he'd just pick the essentials that he needed; avoiding adding to his ever growing book collection. nonetheless, namu is making his way along the streets of seoul, on his journey to do whatever it was that he was doing at the time. he has his earbuds in, listening to one of the many playlists that he has for when he's making his way around the areas of seoul that he tends to find himself in; it was where all his favorite stores and stuff were, so there was much need to go anywhere else in the city, right? especially, considering the fact that it would take him pretty long to actively get there. his eyes look around, looking for how close the store that he was going to was, but he was also on the lookout for some coffee. though, his eyes are on a sight that he can't help but to ignore. namu takes the earbuds out of his ears, pausing the music, and placing them in their case, as he puts it away. he goes up tot he person, who seems to look rather panicked and worried. "are you okay?" namu asked, head tilted as he looked upon the other one. leave it to namu to ask someone if they're doing okay, but he was never the one to be able to witness something, and not do his best to help, at the end of the day. "is there something wrong? i can do my best to help you!"
today was a rare day, though noel had quit a lot of jobs after becoming a trainee, he still had a lot of jobs, he was working every day, but not today, somehow today he had no shifts, it was weird, it’d been a long while since he’d last had a day where he didn’t need to work. noel wouldn’t complain though, it was nice to be able to relax after practice was done. he’d played some guitar, something he hadn’t done in a while, his guitar was collecting dust. he wasn’t really sure what to do with his day, it’d been a while since he’d had a day with no plans. his dog mango seemed happy about the quality time the two got to spend together, so noel decided to go for a bit longer walk than what he usually would.
they were walking more than usual, to a place noel hadn’t visited before, at last they found something which looked like a park. noel sat down on a bench, took off mango’s collar and looked at his phone, mango loved running around alone, and would usually return to noel when he either wanted to return home or have noel throw sticks.
he turns off his phone, looks around, and something is wrong, he can’t see mango. “mango!” he yells as he looks around, he yells the name again, but no luck. then a stranger approaches him “i can’t find my dog, his name is mango, he’s a golden retriever” … “mango!” he yells again, but still no luck. “if you’re not too busy, could you help me look for him?”.

noraebang in hongdae. during the month of october, namu attends a noraebang competition on his own. he decides to sing magic lily from rebel: thief who stole the people (ref.) "when you give park namu a ballad, he becomes danger" - namu's friends. word count, #1,052.
this was something namu had grown rather used to doing. he loved getting the chance to go to a noraebang because singing is his passion, singing his favorite thing, and it's something he loves to do. one of the places that he got the chance to do it was a noraebang, after all. so, namu was always really sure to take the chance when he could, and with it being a competition; he was kind of excited. namu has never been someone that was competitive, truth be told. he just kind of find competitions exciting, and he would never mind where exactly he would end up on the ranking in the end, if he was being honest. he just found it to be something fun and if maybe he would need to change something about the way that he sings a song. but, in general, he always just had a lot of fun with singing - his very first love, his long-lasting long, something he's going to love forever. he was working on getting the chance to do it for a career and he was going to get there - soon, he knew it. there was nothing he'd let get in his way, for sure.
but, nonetheless, this certain saturday in october was going to be all about noraebang. but, he couldn't quite decide what he wanted to do. he thought maybe he would just do something fun, something that was high energy. he thought about maybe something a bit halloweeny - like little mix's black magic or maybe michael jackson's thriller. but, he wasn't entirely settled yet. of course, he still had some time to actually decide what he was going to do, after all. but, it's a thought that continued to linger as he made his way over to the noraebang that he was going to be singing at today. he might not even decide until he was scrolling through the choices on the main menu - that was something that seemed a lot more likely for namu, truth be told.
he had made his way there, something that actually didn't take long at all, considering namu lives in hongdae, so he didn't have to go that far. which probably made it better that namu was actually out and about by himself, even though that was something that he did rather often. either way, namu gets into the noraebang to sing his heart out. he sits down for a few moments, taking the remote into his lap. he scrolls through for a few minutes, trying to decide what he wanted to do. some of them, he sings to himself to see if he feels like singing said song, and then stores it into his brain, just incase it's something that he wants to go back to; he was simply still deciding. he'd even take a wack at a few, before stopping himself because he decided it wasn't the song that he wanted to do, one that he wasn't entirely feeling right now.
that was, however, when namu decided to go for a ballad instead. he's rather used to singing ballads, it was something that he's done ever now and again - a lot of what he uploads to youtube has been ballads, because he really likes getting the chance to showcase his vocals, truth be told. he always feels really proud of himself - then again, he feels proud of himself when he sings anything, if he's being honest. vocals really are the thing that namu is the most confident in when it comes to himself. it's something that really sits on the top of his list. he makes the decision that he wanted to do magic lily from rebel: thief who stole the people - especially because that's a song that he can sing in it's original key.
namu decides to go with that song. he warms up himself up a bit; considering he was always sure to take care of his vocals over all, before moving on to actually start. it was probably odd - to take something like this so seriously. but, it was like namu to just take singing rather seriously. no one can actually really see him put on an emotional performance, but he was still going to do it, because that's how park namu rolls! he's sure to really place the power behind what he's singing, the range that he needs, and everything else. some people linger outside of the room, though namu doesn't take notice because he's in his own little world - something that usually happens when he's singing, and he doesn't have to focus on anything else. he was just happy, happy to be singing, and singing a song that was a bit hard, but namu could handle it. maybe it was a bit extra for karaoke, and for a competition above all. but, this was really just how namu had fun, in retrospect - taking noraebang going seriously, and hitting all the high notes. he was clearly enjoying himself, even if he wasn't aware of really anything else happening, besides for his own voice filling up the room.
the song has come to an end, and he had some cheers from those that had witnessed him singing, who had managed to all guide themselves to the outside of the room - since namu very rarely fully closed a door - he never did like being closed into a space after all (unless it was the bathroom.) his ears had gone completely red, a giggle leaving his lips, and he bows towards the others thanking them. he's a bit embarrassed - but, he's happy, and he feels good. he's really not expecting any win or anything, but it's still a lot of fun, anyways. he had finished up, ready to go onto the next thing. perhaps, maybe he was going to sing a little more, instead of leaving - especially with the new friends that had lingered around now. though, he knew that he was going to have to eat at some point. but, he was enjoying himself at noraebang a little too much - though, that's always usual for namu too. there's clearly just always a love from him when it comes to singing. he loves singing so much, and it seemed that perhaps that's clear to anyone that happens to be around park namu.

namu had wondered if this was what it was like to get his makeup done as an idol, in some sense. he's had it done before, when he was younger, but that was about his extent of experience in getting his makeup done. but, he had always dreamed about it - getting his makeup and hair done for a performance on a music show. it's something that he really wants to experience - no, he knows he'll experience it because he's determined, he'll be an idol. it was just a matter of when! nonetheless, he was feeling rather happy, and rather thankful to be being pampered with getting to be the one who's face makeup is tested on. he was excited to get started.
his smile brightens up some more at the words. "ah, it's no problem," namu says. "i'm thankful i get to be your makeup model!" he added on. "it makes me feel like i'm an idol," he says, before giggling softly because it probably seemed a bit silly. "don't worry about it! it's cool to see everything you have," namu says. "i'm good actually, but thank you!"
make it new
matt wishes for one day someone else to do his makeup, to sit before a performance and get his hair and make up made, already have an outfit picked out for him, but that day hadn’t come yet, he has to wait. for now, matt was focused on his own skills, he’d been practicing make up in his time in korea, tried to save up money for it. he’s watched a million videos on youtube as to how to do your make up or how to style your hair. but he’s always been alone, sitting in his room trying his best to recreate what he sees on others. mattheo has come far in his make up skills, but he also has far to go.
that’s why namu is here today, matt is tired of doing the same tutorial on his face over and over again, as much as he loves make up, he just needs a little change. “so thankful for you coming over namu” he sends the other a smile “i apologize about my table being filled with make up and hair products. would you like anything to drink?”.

namu felt a lot better being able to hold onto deul's arm as they moved through the crowd, truth be told. he knew that way he wouldn't lose the other in such a big crowd. maybe it was a bit silly, for the two of them to go somewhere with such a big crowd when neither of them were fond of big crowds. but, there was no need to miss out on it, right? maybe if it's too hard for namu, he'll just have to deal with it. but, it was nice to know that he wasn't alone, at least. they could deal with a big crowd together, so that was rather good.
the younger is sure to make room, though he's sure to stay right next to deul - just so they couldn't seem to get lost in the crowd of the busking. even if the two were at the front of it all. he nodded his head, his smile growing a bit. "it is, isn't it?" he said, a giggle leaving his lips. namu always felt a bit... well, shorter - so being able to be at the front was nice, and it felt more open too, so that was always a plus. it's a good view to see it all.
"oh! that's good then," namu says. "i quite like being early to things." he says, a happy chuckle leaving his lips.
deul let the younger male take the lead making sure not to let go of his arm. namu didn't like crowds and neither did deul so it made sense to keep a good hold on namu so they wouldn't get separated and end their outing earlier than planned. he had a feeling that neither of them would have a very good time if they ended up alone in this crowd. it of cours wasn't that big but it was big enough that deul would rather be with someone he knew than alone.
when they stopped moving and namu declared he found a spot deul slid up alongside him with a smile. "looks like a good spot to me." he said brightly. namu had picked a spot where they had a decent view of the people busking but they weren't right up against someone else. that much deul was grateful for. he didn't want to be crowded but he obviously still wanted to see the performers.
"i think we're still early." he observed as the buskers got themselves all set up.

there are so many songs that could be possibly done or sung, truth be told. in some way, his mind was racing with all the songs that could possibly be done. but, namu was mainly thinking about group songs that he could potentially do with jaeyeol. it made sense, truth be told; to do a duet. plus, namu always did love getting to sing with other people, sing their hearts out to some energetic song. though, he couldn't quite decide what he wanted to do. should he do cherish? lightspeed? starlie? a.maze? oh, there were way too many songs that could be done, could be sang. but, he couldn't quite decide which route to go. the thought had lingered on and on, as namu tried to decide.
though, jaeyeol names a rather good song, and his smile lights up at the suggestion. "oh! energetic!" he says. "i wanted to do a fun song, but i couldn't quite put my finger on which one," he said. he nods, a bit excitingly, "let's do energetic!" he says with the smile upon his lips. he sort of also knows the dance, but could probably really only mostly do some of the arm movements that goes along with the song, since that's what he had mostly remembered. but, at least it was something.
his eyes watch as the other puts on his halloween costume, his smile grows some more. he chuckles happily, his smile growing a bit more. "well, hello doctor jaeyeol!" he says. another chuckle seemingly leaves his lips once again. namu fixes his own headband for a moment, before he perks back up. "are you ready to put on a performance?" he chuckles once more, before excitingly hoping off to the karaoke room they'd be in.
jaeyeol drummed his fingertips against the strap of his backpack, trying to conjure up some sort of song for him and namu to perform together. he was thankful that the crowd's energy, along with any sense of joviality around him seemed to seep into his own being. plus, the possibilities of songs to perform were endless! thousands of options seemed to run through his head, but the one he ends up choosing needs to be perfect. perhaps if he categorized them… maybe the two could attempt a duet? he stifled a nervous chuckle, the reality of singing starting to seep into him. sure, he wanted to be a trainee, but,,,if this had anything to do with dance, jaeyeol wouldn't have thought twice about performing. but just singing? he had confidence in his abilities, when actually had them. perhaps this meant that they shuld do something more fun and energetic? if they were too busy jumping around and singing at the top of their lungs, then, jaeyeol didn't need to worry about wowing namu with his vocals. no, that's it! energetic was the way to go -- literally!
"what do you think of wanna one's energetic? wait, hold on," jaeyeol pauses mid-thought, shrugging off his backpack. he unzips it to pull out his reading glasses and lab coat, thumb brushing over a dried iodine stain from one of his labs earlier; perhaps now, it added a sense of genuity. with his other hand, he pushed the glasses up the bridge of his nose, before holding out his arms and smiling. "ta-da! what do you think of my 'costume'?"
the grin that tugs at his lips is genuine, eyes bright with delight. even though the costume was no more than a part of his school life, it at least made him seem somewhat prepared for the festivities. jaeyeol swishes around to show off his getup, placing a hand on his hip and another to the bridge of his nose, as if he were copying his favourite anime characters.
"call me doctor jaeyeol," he beams, posing in front of namu comically, "and i diagnose us with a case of slaying!"

board game café, somewhere in seoul. with @bejoomi.
truth be told, namu felt a bit guilty that it was so late at night, past midnight to put it exactly. but, he wasn't really able to sleep. he was just staring up at the ceiling of his bedroom, counting sheep, hoping to fall asleep - yet, it was something that was failing for him. so, instead, namu decided to get up, and go out somewhere to actually do something, maybe help make himself fall asleep. and so, he decided to do just that. he went to one place that he really does enjoy, a board game café, to play some board games. he wasn't really knowledgeable in a lot of them, but he did know what he enjoys, so there's that, at least, right?
now, the reason that namu felt bad was because joomi had told him that he wasn't busy past midnight or on sundays, and namu didn't want to invite him out past midnight. but, namu really though, why not, right? he thought that maybe it would be nice, a little change of pace, and relaxation from being super busy. nonetheless, namu had made his way there. where he takes a seat in the back corner, by a window - a spot that namu always chose in a café, if it was an option, of course. there was always something about a back corner, he wasn't sure why - but, it was always his favorite spot.
his eyes look around the café itself, trying to decide what exactly he wanted to order. he was also trying to decide what game should be played. maybe game of life? ticket to ride? there was also a few others that two players could play as well, but he also didn't want to keep joomi for too long, due to him probably having a long week. but, at least it was sunday after midnight, right? nonetheless, namu stood there, awaiting for him to arrive through the door, and once he did - his usually lighting up occurred and he smiled more brightly. "hi!" he says, waving the other over to the table. "thank you for coming to play a game with me."

fall harvest celebration near hanok village, be:halloweenmarket. with @ahyoungbe.
namu had been at the fall harvest celebration for a while now. however, he was seemingly alone now, as his friend that he attended with suddenly had to leave. namu thought about leaving himself, but truth be told, there was too much to enjoy - so, he decided to kind of just stay, walk around so more, and see what else the fall harvest celebration had to offer. autumn always felt like kind of a special season, with the leaves changing, and the air cooling down once again. truth be told, namu really does like summer, but he also really likes when the air is cooler. the sun still felt nice too, even if the air nipped at his cheeks in some sort of way. but, he's got one of his oversized sweaters to keep him warm, so that's another plus.
his arms are behind his back as he walks along, almost in his own little world. he'd come across some things, where he'd oh and ah at the things that he'd come across at the festival. he took some selfies with some of the decorations too, which seemingly made him chuckle a bit. somehow, namu would always manage to have fun on his own - which was always a plus, wasn't it? he always seemed to manage that, when he didn't feel like going home, and didn't want to ask anyone to hang out because he didn't know if they were busy or not. it was quite a way to think, when he obviously wouldn't be bothering anyone. but, thus, he still goes through the festival on his own.
at least, maybe, that wasn't for too long when he manages to run into someone. "oh! i'm so sorry!" namu says. he bows to the other person a few times, "i should of looked where i was going!" he said. he comes up from the bow, before looking upon who it was. "oh! hi ahyoung!" he says, his smile growing a bit more now. "are you enjoying yourself today?" he asked. he was really hoping nothing was dropped or anything, looking down again just to double check he didn't lose anything himself. but, he was all good, having everything that he came with. nonetheless, he looks back upon the other, sparkling eyes and all.

namu definitely wasn't going to be playing this game again, he knows for sure. it was oversomething, he doesn't entirely remember what it was that he had clicked. but, all he knew was that it was not for him and he wasn't any good at it whatsoever. plus, a lot of the other players were kind of just yelling and namu wasn't communicating because of it, so it was all around a very stressful environment that he didn't need to be in. but hey, you live and you learn. he's found out this wasn't really all that fun, even though he did keep trying.
until someone had finally stopped in to show him something else - which was definitely better. his eyes move from looking at the other, to looking upon the screen in front of himself. his head titled for a bit, as he watches the clicking out of the screen. he finally sees the name, overwatch, and he stores that in his mind to be something to not click play on the next time. otherwise, he was just going to be respawning over and over again, just like he was now. "i'm glad it's so popular now!" he said, chuckling softly.
he nodded his head, sparkling eyes moving to each one as it's explained to him. "oh! story telling could be cool too," he says with a firm nod. "what do you suggest there?" namu couldn't help to ask, considering he really could use something new, and namu had always been a fan of stories. he might as well branch out slightly, in some aspect too.
there are so many different options and genres for gaming. but there are some that aren’t for everyone. sua won’t say no if someone asks her to play a fps shooter, but she knows she’ll be terrible at it. but with others, you can make the fun of it. this person is just playing by himself, supposedly; he isn’t communicating with anyone at least– and sua knows from experience that just…can’t be all that fun.
sua raises a brow, eyeing the male then glancing at his screen, then back. “i can tell.” she says simply. the scoreboard says it all for her, as does his respawn screen. it’s kinda sad, but sua doesn’t say anything else on it. “there are other options if you like something a bit more chill like animal crossing. life simulators are everywhere now-a-days. here.” she reaches out to tug the mouse from him, eyes on the screen as she navigates out of overwatch and into the game library.
she points out a couple. “this one is like animal crossing, kinda. without the animals. and this one is farming centric– i like stardew valley, personally. unpacking is nice too, though that’s more chill puzzle then anything else.” she rattles off. “you could also try more story driven ones, if you like that. there’s a couple of indie games that i can recommend too. if not, sims is always a nice choice.”

it had been any other day, any other shift for namu. but, there was definitely no compliment, because he really does love getting to work in the café with his uncle and aunt - though, of course, namu has bigger dreams for himself; ones of being on stage. he knows that he'll definitely get there one day, and it's all in due time. this was just the for now, and he also has his youtube channel to sing on - so, that's definitely great too, right? namu has had a few people notice him from his youtube channel, something that normally happened while working, and he'd always be so flustered; to the point that his ears would even turn red.
nonetheless, he's doing his thing with working. he's taking orders, while also making sure to help make the drink orders - it was always a busy time while working a shift, but he definitely wasn't complaining. it wasn't long till he was back at the cash wrap, getting more orders. then, he sees a familiar face, and that bright smile that he always carries, seems to be a bit brighter. "hey!" he said. "i'm sorry, but you're on youtube, right?" he asked, head tilted as he looked upon the other. "i've seen your videos, i'm subscribed to you!" he said, nodding a bit excitingly. "you're really cool!"

for @namube
maybe it was due to him being naive that he never expected anyone to recognize him. sure he had being on next gen under his belt which he knew a lot of people had watched but there was also his youtube channel that he didn't cover his face in. it was out there for everyone to see but maybe a small part of him thought it wouldn't matter. he didn't know why his mind thought that way when he remembers stevie saying he saw his youtube videos before. guess that doesn't matter in his mind at all since he's forgotten already that his face is all over the internet.
though once he's not preoccupied with his own little problem, he has to catch himself from almost accidentally hitting his face into the door of a cafe. he hadn't been here before so he takes the chance to go inside and eagerly wants to enjoy some of the treats that might be offered. maybe a drink to, he needs something to combat the sweetness of whatever he decides to order. his mind is hoping he isn't too paranoid though since the thought of being recognized seems to wanna disturb his mind again as he tries to look over the different items on the menu.

sweetness, brightness, and everything good in between has always come so naturally to namu. the world is cruel and the world has been rather cruel to namu - he still has a rather hard time sometimes. but, yet, nothing can ever wash away that spark, that naiveness, that brightness, that happiness. he's got this certain gloom that sits in the back of his head sometimes, and yet - it still doesn't wipe away the shine, the spark. perhaps, maybe, namu is much stronger than he realizes - with nothing cruel being able to change him. maybe that's a good thing. nonetheless, his smile grows a bit more. "okay, good! i hope you do!" he said, a small chuckle leaving his lips. "i promise the stay will be like a five-star resort with free breakfast, lunch, and dinner!" he said, a firm nod leaving his head.
an americano was always the first drink of the day that he would have, something that really woke him up. especially since namu either didn't sleep that much or would keep waking up - he's gotten lucky a few times a week to have a pretty good sleep. but, he was used to sleeping for only a few hours or waking up every hour - and yet, somehow, he's mainly rested and full of energy. nonetheless, the rest of the day, namu always stuck to a mocha, a drink that he could definitely never get sick of. plus, as said before, he's definitely very big on chocolate when it comes to sweet - so, he always wanted his coffee to be mocha. he spiced it up during winter, however, and always let himself get into the trend of peppermint mocha. that was always a very nice flavor. he chuckles, nodding his head, "just let me know and a coffee drink will come right up!" he said, his smile lighting up so more.
namu light up at the question, before chuckling over 'namu special.' but, nonetheless, he nodded his head. "yeah! i did actually!" he says, another chuckle leaving his lips. "i made a cinnamon latte! and instead of regular milk, it uses coconut milk and it makes it really creamy, and it takes on the cinnamon flavor a lot better! i think it's really nice!" he explained. "i drank a few times, but i can never really get myself away from my one americano a day and then at least two mochas during the day..." he says, before a soft laugh leaves his lips. namu thought it was cool, trying to come up with something new, truth be told. he tends to do it with cooking recipes, but he didn't do it as much with coffee because he doesn't think he's as much of a coffee expert as his uncle and aunt are.
there's a laugh that leaves namu's lips, something that he seems to scuffle with a sip of the hot mocha coffee beverage. nonetheless, he nodded his head after he gently places the mug down, hands wrapped around the mug to keep his hands warm. "it is the value of expertise!" he says, chuckling softly once more. "i, unfortunately, don't have money like that. so, i'm afraid i'll be unable to take your business. don't tell me any ideas! i can't pay for them!" he says, another soft laugh leaving his lips, hand covering his mouth for a moment.
he can't help but smile at the kid; he's always been so sweet. perhaps he comes across a bit naive, a bit too innocent, but yejun kinda likes it. he hopes that namu keeps that spark, whatever it might be, alive for years to come. the world is a hard enough place as it is; yejun almost wishes he could be more of an optimist too. "thank you," he murmurs, quiet with words that are genuine despite their simplicity. "i appreciate it, really. maybe i'll take you up on that, someday." maybe when he's at the end of his rope, when he can't do this anymore, when there's nowhere left to turn... yejun would like to think that he'll never get to this point, that he just needs to survive the semester and it'll get better. but you never know.
the topic change can't come soon enough, though.
of course it's a mocha; yejun can't help but think that the drink suits namu. it's sweet, it's classic, and pretty much everyone likes them. and if he remembers correctly, the other boy has always been a big chocolate person. yejun likes it on occasion too, though not nearly as much as some people. "that's okay," he feels bad when namu offers him too much, like he's unable to repay his hospitality somehow. "maybe later if i'm really falling asleep on this textbook. i don't need it yet," he half-jokes, a smile still playing across his lips.
"did you make any of the seasonal drinks this year?" it's simple curiosity, no deeper question other than making conversation, and yejun can exist comfortably in this space. namu likes to talk, as evidenced by his whole spiel about their seasonal drinks and all the different fun things that they're making. yejun's happy to just listen, to let the younger man monopolize the energy and the space between them. he doesn't have to think too much, a welcome reprieve from his homework. "like, is there any namu special i should be trying?"
he manages a laugh, dragged out of him somewhat by surprise as the other demands all of his best ideas immediately. how is yejun supposed to tell him that he actually has none? "one billion won," he responds, clearly not serious about the figure thrown out there. "per hour," he adds, a grin on his face. "that's how valuable my expertise is. right?" he chuckles for a second time, mostly just to let the other know that he's being humorous more than serious. he could do with a wad of cash right now, but he's not going to take it from a kid who seems like he would trust him with the world.

lotte world, be:halloweenmarket. with @behanami.
it wasn't really often that namu got the chance to go to lotte world - which was a bit funny, considering the fact that he's grown up in seoul. but, he's only ever been a few different times over the past few years, simply because he hasn't been able to fit it into his schedule. but, he was really excited that he got the chance to go - even though maybe namu wasn't much of a rides rider really. he always avoided rollercoasters, but he did always enjoy the carousel and things like that. the more simple, gentler rides have always been the ones that namu enjoys the most. it can definitely leave him out of being the thrill seeker of any kind - that was a thrill that he didn't seek. though, he seeks the thrill of the stage, something that he really does love.
he has himself dressed up, making sure he is due to it being a halloween event. he doesn't think it's much of an impressive costume, truth be told, but namu tends to think about that for most costumes he wears. he can't say he's much of a big halloween person, and has kind of just really started celebrating halloween - he was just used to the small event that his uncle and aunt would put on at the café - considering he's not someone who goes out into nightlife. nonetheless, he stands off awkwardly to the side as he awaits for hanami, who he invited to lotte world to experience the whole thing with him.
he's looking around, leaning right, and leaning left as the people come in. then, he finally sees her, and his smile grows a bit more. he feels less nervous about all the people, now that his friend has finally arrived. he reaches his hand up, waving towards her. "hanami!" namu calls out, a happy chuckle leaving his lips. "are you ready?" namu asked, head titled with the smile still on his lips. "what should we do first? should we get our faces painted?"
