Nieves is a happy and strong character, so she is the one holding the message the others found in the bottle. ⁠ I am very happy with how the ghost, Gerardo, turned out. This is part of a personal project I've been working of for the past few months. I was suggested to create my own illustrations for one of the books I read as a child, and I loved the idea. I chose one of my favourite children's books, "El fantasma novato" (The novice ghost) by Manuel L. Alonso, published by Edelvives⁠ This illustration is designed as a cover taking into account the current format of the Ala Delta collection, where a square is placed with the title and author information. It shows the three main characters: Gerardo (the ghost), Marc and Nieves.⁠ —⁠ Esta ilustración forma parte de un proyecto personal en el que he estado trabajando estos meses. Me sugirieron que crease mis propias ilustraciones para algún libro de mi infancia. Me gustó la idea, así que elegí uno de mis títulos infantiles favoritos: "El fantasma novato", de Manuel L. This is a self portrait with my daughter. “Not much more of him is left to guard his treasure. Thankfully he has a bottle of rum to keep him company.” I decided to create a full colour illustration of one of my Inktober drawings. I really wanted to keep working on it but I didn’t have the time during the challenge, so I took my scan and tried something more painterly than usual. I enjoyed it a lot and I think I’ve improved during the process. — “No queda mucho de él para custodiar su tesoro. Menos mal que tiene una botella de ron para hacerle compañía.” Me apeteció crear una ilustración a color a partir de uno de mis dibujos de Inktober, ya que me quedé con las ganas de seguir trabajando en el dibujo por falta de tiempo durante el reto. So here it is, Irvine Wildhammer and Colmillo, finished! It has been such a challenge to make them look like World of Warcraft characters within my style. I'm still improving my color and painting technique. I was told I use all the colors, but I've realised that no matter how hard I try to limit my palette, how desaturated I want it to be sometimes, I always end adding some bright colors here and there, even hidden in the transition between light and shadow. I just like the variation and life it brings, and I think it is something that can be mastered. Just give me time! — ¡Aquí están, Irvine Wildhammer y Colmillo, terminados! Ha sido todo un reto que parezcan personajes de World of Warcraft sin alejarme mucho de mi estilo. Sigo trabajando en el color y la pintura. Una vez me dijeron que uso todos los colores y me he dado cuenta de que no importa lo mucho que me limite la paleta, o de lo desaturada que intente que sea, siempre acabo metiendo colores saturados, aunque sea para dar vidilla a las transiciones entre luz y sombra, porque me gusta como queda.
