I’m glad I came back to the fandom and remembered how much I appreciate her, all before this date!

What else can I say? I’m in love with everything she’s made me think and believe, so happy to have met her and how loyal I still am, waiting to see her again on screen as the form of pure and ultimate love.

It’s incredible how a character as well made as Emma can influence your life, to the point that her birthday arrives and you just want to have her in front of you, hug her, and tell her how much she’s worth.

I wish I had more friends to share this day with, but even so, I didn’t want to let it pass unnoticed.

I made these drawings with all the love I have for her. She’s supposed to be making a heart with the giraffe — don’t criticize me, I didn’t even know how to shape it properly but there it is 😭 — I also love her closed-eye smile, it’s not that I can’t draw her eyes open, it’s just a matter of preference. Should I learn to paint sunflowers? Yes, definitely, maybe next year I’ll do them better.

I also tried to make her in a "chibi" version with her carrot cake, thinking canonically it’s her favorite food. You can imagine that Ray and Norman made it for her, she’s their girl of course they would spoil her in some way 🥰🤍🧡���

She deserves everything, and everything is what she gave us 🌻🥺🧡✨

Until her birthday arrives, I decided to let out something about this character that’s had me thinking for days.

I came across some official info about a discussion between Posuka and Shirai regarding Emma’s design. I’ve already mentioned how MUCH I LOVE Emma’s design — every detail that shapes her figure and expressions feels just right for what the character represents. It’s not overwhelming to look at, but it still keeps that attractive quality a main character should have in a story like this.

This info feels more like Shirai’s requests seen from Posuka’s POV. They’re short but precise — something Posuka could rely on when sketching Emma’s first designs.

I’m going to list them, and for each one I’ll share my thoughts, because I think a lot of the traits here help us appreciate Emma’s aesthetics and physical appearance 🌻✨

For translation reasons, I assume that after emphasizing her name, Shirai is referring to her hair color here. But beyond that, maybe he meant that the color they chose should be something we could associate with the brightness and strength of the sun — not exactly “red,” but something eye-catching like sunlight itself. If I’m not mistaken, warm colors like yellow, red, and orange are often linked to joy and represent positive attitudes and “warm” influences, so to speak. If that’s right, I think it’s really sweet how Shirai was already trying to reflect Emma’s personality in something as simple as her hair color. You can tell he wanted to use it as a physical complement — and I personally think it worked beautifully.

Ever since I read that request, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about what kind of face Posuka imagined when sketching Emma. Did she look up references of foreign people to figure out how Emma should look? That’s totally something I’d do xD. I also wonder if she based it on a specific region of the world to capture that kind of “foreign face” Emma has.

I’ve read a lot of headcanons about the nationalities of TPN kids based on their design and physical appearance. For example: when Ray gets brought up, a lot of people say he might be Italian or American. As for Emma, I agree with those who say she could be Russian or Scottish — maybe even a mix of both? Either way, I love imagining her with that background.

I still get confused by the “uneven” part of Emma’s design. Like… what exactly? Does it refer to her expressions? Or is it just another way of saying she needed to have a “foreign” look? I know Japanese society is one of the most homogeneous in the world (the physical traits of the population are almost 90% similar btw [op/p]), so if I go off of that, then Emma’s appearance had to be “different” or “uneven” to preserve that foreign impression.

It’s so funny how Emma’s iconic antenna was originally meant to be “three hairs on top of her head.” It looked pretty dynamic if you ask me, although I still really love the final look. We can be thankful that the antenna wasn’t removed, even in the early stages of design. Oh and as a fun fact to remember: Emma’s antenna CANNOT be cut. Isabella tried and failed xD

These two points stem from the same idea, so it makes sense to group them together.

Here, they clearly wanted to draw a line between characters — each of them needed that “something” that made them stand out on their own, even with just their hair.

Keeping that rule in mind, I imagine it was hard to come up with a new hairstyle for Emma. I really like how they broke away from the “completely straight” mold with her, even though her hair isn’t exactly curly either. It’s kind of a middle point between both hair types — and it works so well!! Especially around the sides, the front, her nape, or the antenna itself.

I once read that for Posuka, the most difficult character to draw was Emma — and I wonder if the hair is to blame xD. Even now, I’ve only barely figured out how her hair is structured and I still don’t draw it well.

And right next to that, a sketch of Emma that looks like she’s staring right at you with that calm but magnetic aura. Posuka did it again! You can see this in the manga panels, and even in the first episode of the anime — in the opening minutes, there’s a blurry shot of Emma and right after that you see this sweet little girl looking at you through the screen.

At this point, it could also mean her character design had to be the kind that grabs you at first glance — so the viewer feels like “Emma is looking them straight in the eye.”

It’s another way to make the character a little more interactive. It’s a great idea — very well thought out for a lead role.

We don’t get a Greek-statue Emma with a nose carved by the gods — in fact, in the anime, her nose is basically just two pixels. Have you noticed that? x)

In the manga, Emma’s profile is way more than I expected — it’s powerful, worthy of a protagonist. And her nose? It looks really good on her — I love that small, slightly pointed nose.

OKAY THIS IS MY POINT — MY FAVORITE FOCUS!!

It’s interesting how “make her beautiful” wasn’t the most important part of Emma’s design according to Shirai. But I think his approach — centered on personality and details — made Emma beautiful anyway, even if it was unintentional.

I love how Emma can look totally adorable as a Grace Field child, but also have hardened expressions and sharp features in arcs like Goldy Pond… AND STILL LOOK STUNNING!! No matter what Shirai and Posuka were working with at the time, every part of Emma’s design is so well-thought-out that even if “beauty” wasn’t the goal, they still managed (accidentally?) to make her the kind of character you can look at from ANY angle and say: “how are you this pretty?? 🥹💗”

I get it, though — we’re talking about an 11/14-year-old girl, so of course the focus wasn’t going to be on beauty in an intense way. But he still asked for her to be “adorable,” and that ended up being something way beyond just “cute.” I never get tired of looking at her 🥰🌻✨

The last two points (①① and ①②) are Shirai asking for Emma’s hair to be curlier and for her to wear comfortable shoes, since she likes playing tag.

At this point, Emma’s hair definitely gave Posuka and Shirai a lot of work — and I totally get it. I also really admire the patience Posuka must’ve had drawing that hair FROM SO MANY ANGLES. I’d have lost my mind, honestly xD

To wrap this up:

I really appreciate the hours or even days both creators spent shaping Emma. Like I said before — you can feel the effort in every inch of her, and it just proves how much love and care they poured into sitting down and drawing her over and over again until they finally gave us the Emma we know today.

She was designed so that even just looking at her could remind you of hope, faith… maybe even the dream of a better tomorrow. All of that in a character design that to some might look “common” in anime/manga — but to me, it’s proof that it’s not extravagant looks that attract us, but rather the kind of physical traits that are born directly from the essence of the character. That harmony — that’s what really shapes a character’s design.

9th anniversary!

Has it really been 9 years?! Time passes without mercy...

In 2016, I didn’t have access to social networks, nor the internet, and I didn’t even have my own phone because I was underage (9 years old). I was just a little girl living her life in school.

But today, I would have loved so much to have discovered The Promised Neverland when it was at its peak, to keep up with every week or month as it was continuously updating, bringing the story by Shirai that I know now with Posuka’s beautiful art. Still, I believe that getting to know that story was meant to happen for me at a certain time, and I’m happy it did.

TPN isn’t just an anime/manga for me; it brought me closer to important people, gave me the memories I cherish the most, and reading the manga or rewatching the anime made me smile even when the world was going through such a terrible pandemic, with news of looting, war, and deaths. TPN was my escape from all of that. ( I wached it in the tough years of 2020-2021 )

That’s why it holds a beautiful place in my heart that no other anime/series can take ❤️‍🩹

I’m so happy to have met Emma, Norman, and Ray. There are so many trios and protagonists, but the bond between these three is unique and doesn’t repeat in others. They will always be my favorite trio 🧡🤍🖤

I keep dreaming of the day when TPN will be resonated everywhere again. Until then, I think appreciating the fact that even 9 years later Posuka is still with us giving us illustrations is the best we can do, I hope she accompanies us for many more years, each of her illustrations gives me hope, I wish her a good life and health stable enough to continue with us, even with her personal projects 👀✨

The official TPN staff account mentioned something about the 10th anniversary, ongoing projects. Maybe a collaboration? New TPN material? A miracle if they announced a remake, although the date and the anniversary number make a lot of sense to me to announce that. Whatever it is, I hope what they have prepared is good enough to lift TPN up again.

TPN X ALADDIN

Today, I’d like to share my choices for the adult characters and other key figures in this story—commenting, adapting their slight similarities, and giving them a specific role. Fair warning: this post might be a bit, well, VERY long, but that’s what an Alternative Universe is about! Being detailed!! Personally, I love diving into the development of such promising characters. I also made a few not-so-polished concept sketches of the chosen characters in their respective roles. This is my way of showing love for them 💖

👑;; Yuugo as the Sultan~

In almost every TPN AU, I really like when Yuugo is portrayed as Emma’s father. Canonically in the manga, their bond feels a bit like a tired father and his rebellious daughter. On the other hand, Jasmine’s father in Aladdin is shown as a gentle, slightly naïve, humorous (VERY HUGGABLE) older man. While that description doesn’t quite fit Yuugo, one thing I’m sure of is this: like the Sultan, Yuugo would absolutely cherish his daughter, watching over her and making her happiness a top priority. Just like Jasmine was the Sultan’s greatest pride—and his weakness—Yuugo could easily be manipulated “for Emma’s own good.” I think that detail would be super interesting to see: a somewhat stubborn sultan, misled in the name of his daughter’s wellbeing.

Now, as a ruler, Yuugo could carry over the more serious aspects of the Sultan’s character as seen in the Live Action version, while still maintaining his essence from the manga. Like, if a war between kingdoms ever broke out and Agrabah got involved, Yuugo would keep his strategic and deceptive mindset—thinking first of his people and, of course, his precious daughter.

Let’s say his wife (maybe Dina) died in a similar conflict. Since then, Yuugo became more rigid, less lenient—but not heartless. Thanks to Emma, he hasn’t hardened completely. She might step in and stop him from taking actions he’d regret, showing the strong Father-Daughter bond they could have in this AU.

As for traditions—like the idea that the princess must marry a prince when she turns 18—I feel like Yuugo would be SUPER protective here. Honestly, it makes me laugh to think he’d be the one rejecting all the visiting suitors, not Emma 😹 Like: “None of them are worthy of my daughter.”

In Aladdin, the Sultan is worried that Jasmine won’t accept marriage, and that disinterest could definitely carry over to Emma too. She wouldn’t care if her dad rejected the suitors—she’d say no anyway 🤭

Although... there might be a tiny exception. If you’re a Norman x Emma fan, you might be interested in what I imagined for them. But their moment isn’t here just yet.

To sum up Yuugo’s role: he’s a man in charge of an entire kingdom, trying to maintain peace while standing firm when necessary—though easily swayed when it comes to his daughter, and a bit stubborn most of the time 😹🖤✨

⏳;; Andrew as Jaafar~

Just for this role, I only had two latent options: Peter R. or Andrew. In general, the character of Jaafar seems to me someone very ambitious, contemptuous, greedy, manipulative, selfish, and very blinded by the idea of being more than the Sultan himself. Being only the right hand of the ruler was not enough, and that was evident both in the Live Action and the animated film. One detail here is that in the animated film, Giago (Jaafar's talking parrot) suggests that he be the one to depose the princess, which is a direct path to the throne; this detail is skipped in the Live Action, where they only show a determined Jaafar wanting to take the throne while having the Genie under his control.

Well, why did I choose Andrew and not Peter? Although both would fit perfectly, I leaned more towards Andrew because I thought of something funny: Andrew would definitely betray Ratri, his superior, at some convincing point in the manga's story. How? I have no idea. But I know he would if there was something more at stake that could be beneficial for him.

The idea of shaping Andrew into the Live Action Jaafar with that in mind made me choose him right away. In the manga, Andrew earns the fandom's hatred due to his stoic and cruel nature, a killer who is unaware of human pity despite being human. Jaafar is not exempt from the title of killer; just remember the first thief he let die right at the beginning of the movie, or when he tried to do the same to Aladdin to take the lamp, and let's not forget that time when he was in power and almost let Jasmine drown in the hourglass.

They are very different actions, but they end up describing a frivolous character, showing how far greed for superiority can go.

Andrew, I say again, was perfect for me to have the role of Jaafar. Additionally, I find it fun to relate Yuugo and Andrew this way; we know that in the manga, they were enemies, and that Yuugo, along with Lucas, died trying to kill him. But in this AU, Andrew would be his right hand, his trusted advisor who turned out to be the man who would dethrone him in the worst way.

To wrap up with Andrew, I found those similarities that highlighted him more than my other option: Ratri, and to be honest, I haven't seen another AU that includes him; I wanted to give him visibility with this role :D

Andrew has a villainous character vibe.

🧞‍♂️;; Don as The Genie~

The Genie, both in the animated version and in the Live Action, is presented as a very charismatic character, someone talkative who shows selfless or relaxed attitudes despite living 2,000 years in a lamp as a powerful prisoner. The story shows us how the Genie, beyond being the one who makes his holder's wishes come true, becomes Aladdin's voice of conscience. He tries to be on his side but subtly points out his mistakes and the consequences of his blinded decisions, which of course led to Aladdin getting upset with the Genie, and we know what happens next.

From my point of view, Don fits very well in the role of the Genie; both personalities align greatly with him: he can be a great entertainer but can also say words that make you reflect. Ray and Don make a good duo; in this AU, there could be more interaction between them, and that’s something I don't see very often in other AUs.

And yes, Don would give his all on stage singing the iconic song of the Genie. 😌💙✨

The desire to be free I will leave intact; each character present in Aladdin has a specific thought or motive that stands out, and the Genie, someone powerful longing for freedom, is simply beautiful to me. I like to think that Don can express that desire, that illusion of not having to take orders from anyone, but to be as free as the wind itself.

��;; Gilda as Dalia~

I cannot deny or confirm if Dalia is canon in the animated Aladdin movies or in any book of that story, I don't remember the plot of the following animated installments after the first one and I only saw the first one to refresh my mind for this AU. What is undeniable is that Dalia is shown in the Live Action and is a very entertaining character (in my opinion) She is presented as the maid?/right hand/someone trusted by Jazmín, like that friend to whom you tell everything without the discomfort of being judged and who can give you advice or just her company.

Dalia and Jazmín seem very close to me, as if they had grown up together at some point in the past, thinking that Emma and Gilda are perfect for this duo. Gilda has always seemed to me a character faithful to Emma, as a servant would be to her master, both in the anime and in the manga Gilda showed dedicated, worried attitudes, she was even bold in confronting an adult for Emma's life. She for me would be a good companion for Princess Emma.

Although a great focus on Dalia with Jazmín was not shown, the moments they would share would be relevant and special. Those scenarios adapted to Emma and Gilda are tender in my head.

I can even imagine them talking after Ray and Emma's first flight on the magic carpet:

That prompt: Isabella abandoning Ray haunts Isabella in every AU I think of, I just don't know how to stop it 😭-

What I remember about Aladdin's family is that his mother died when he was a child and his father abandoned him. In Ray's case, it would be the other way around: I decided his father would be Leslie, who dies leaving Ray as a child, and his mother Isabella is the one who abandons him.

I barely remember Cassim's reasons for leaving Aladdin, but despite that and his criminal life, he wanted to get his family back.

Since I love the concept of reconciliation between Ray and Isabella, the role of Cassim suits her well.

I like the idea of creating a scenario where Ray asks her all his questions about his abandonment, and Isabella answers each one of them without evasions, that she is sincere, that she recognizes her mistake and the value of having a son like Ray, having typical conversations like forming a family (contradictorily, Isa wouldn't be the most suitable to talk about it, but she would try, that's what counts 😹).

I know that in the end Cassim doesn't stay in Agrabah but goes on a journey to who knows where, but considering the concept of the character, he would surely go looking for more treasures but now with the knowledge that his son is fine and has achieved what he wanted. Maybe they would stay in contact or whatever :P

I think there is an interaction between Jazmín and Cassim, so an interaction between Emma and Isabella would be perfect to complete Ray's happiness in this AU 🖤🦋~

👑;; Norman as Prince Minerva~

When he presented himself before Emma and her father, he radiated that aura all princes seem to have — representing his region flawlessly, like someone who had dedicated his entire life to royalty. So what made him even slightly different from the previous suitors? He wasn't arrogant. And though he came bearing gifts of wealth, he didn’t offer them with the usual intentions — they weren’t bribes, as if trying to put a price on the princess. To Yuugo, he was annoyingly humble for someone of his status.

Emma wasn’t naive — many had tried to act that way in front of her, and things had ended badly for them. But for political reasons, she agreed to his visit, already preparing her usual “No” to the marriage proposal for the end of the meeting.

But Emma’s perspective on Norman began to shift.

During his stay at the castle, Norman and Emma bonded faster than even Emma expected. He truly was a prince — not because of his status or polished appearance, but because Emma got to know Norman’s heart during a few sincere conversations. They shared one important thing that brought them closer: their love for their people. Emma felt understood. For the first time since princes started arriving to propose to her, she felt like she’d met someone who saw the world the same way she did. Maybe… he was the one.

However, everything changed when Norman admitted that he didn’t actually want to marry her. He was there under orders from his father (James or Peter? You decide), who wanted to seize the opportunity and form an alliance with Sultan Yuugo by marrying off his daughter — like all the other princes had tried to do. But Norman didn’t want to be part of an arranged marriage, the kind his dynasty had always relied on. If everyone else ignored love and saw marriage only as a way to make deals and forge alliances, Norman would not be like them. He wanted to rule his kingdom beside someone who complemented him emotionally.

Norman had met Emma — and to him, she was undoubtedly the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen (not just physically). She was perfect, an ideal match. But he refused to have her… because he didn’t love her.

He admired who Emma was — she was almost like his reflection in a mirror. But Norman longed to truly fall in love with someone, someone who needed him more than anything, someone who stirred in him a deep desire to protect her, even with his life if needed. And, as contradictory as it sounded, Emma didn’t awaken that feeling in him. That’s why he dared to tell her the truth, apologizing for wasting her time.

Emma understood — because deep down, she wanted the same. For her, Norman’s pure honesty was the most valuable gift any stranger had ever given her. Not the gold, not the lavish offerings — but his sincerity and his emotions. They agreed to decline the engagement, each wishing the other the happiness they both deserved.

But just because they didn’t marry doesn’t mean they drifted apart. They became the kind of friends who are basically soulmates — but in a platonic way ❤️‍🩹. They stayed in touch, sent each other gifts, and visited from time to time.

I love imagining that when Emma and Ray were preparing their wedding invitations, Emma insisted that Norman’s had to be the very first one sent.

As for Ray and Norman — they ended up becoming good friends too. I can picture them sharing moments together, maybe even Ray asking Norman for advice. I also adore the idea of Norman reminding Ray that his past doesn’t have to affect his present, and especially not the love he shares with Emma.

“But wait, did Norman just end up alone watching all the happy couples get married? 😭” Nope. He’d meet his special someone — maybe one of the maids at the Rayemma wedding. Who? Idk, maybe it was YOU 😻✨

What did you expect? A messy, jealous Norman just because this is a Rayemma AU? NO👹 Not here. Just because I ship Rayemma doesn’t mean I’m going to disrespect Norman or his eternal and warm appreciation for Emma. I wanted to use his character gently 💕 because Norman is a precious soul, and he would genuinely be happy for Ray and Emma 🥰✨

Oh, and the “Not Canon” sign I’m holding? That’s to say Norman DOES NOT REPRESENT ANY SPECIFIC CANON CHARACTER in the Aladdin story. None of the existing characters really matched what I wanted Norman to be — so I made up a role just for him, one that mattered to both Emma and Ray: a true and royal friendship. I didn’t want to leave him out of this AU, but I also didn’t want him to get in the way of Ray and Emma. That’s just not my style :/

Nope, it’s not a sad drawing of Rayemma as I would love to do. Not today 🙂‍↔️✨

Sometimes washing the dishes helps you generate ideas, so while I was scrubbing, I thought of Ray and Emma as rulers of Agrabah, and I couldn’t shake the idea until I moved my finger back and forth and got it out of my mind.

You must already know the story of Aladdin and Jasmine: a poor thief manipulated by a crucial figure in the Agrabah kingdom's government to obtain a lamp that happens to contain a magical Genie who grants 3 wishes to its bearer. Aladdin, in love with the princess of the kingdom, Jasmine, asks the Genie to turn him into a prince so he can get closer to her, using the name "Ali" to hide his true identity. Although everything initially goes wrong, mostly causing offenses for Jasmine, Prince Ali shows her "the magic of an ideal world," and that was enough to win the princess's heart. They face problems, many problems, but in the end, they end up together. No more lies, just the love they had for each other.

NOW JUST IMAGINE THAT STORY BUT WITH EMMA AND RAY AS THE PROTAGONISTS!

The story in Aladdin is literally my favorite specific prompt: A poor (boy) x B rich (girl). Just like that, I love it; it’s perfect 🙂‍↕️✨. I think Rayemma fits it very well, and also Jasmine is at the top of my favorite princesses. She’s my top, just like Emma 🥰💖. Plus, the story favors my more personal Rayemma headcanon: Aladdin (Ray) fell in love first.

That’s why I spent several days trying to depict my favorite scenes of Ali and Jasmine but with a Rayemma version.

The outfits are detailed based on the LIVE ACTION of ALADDIN, as the animated version seemed very simple, and it was Rayemma I wanted to create, so I wanted to make it more "elaborate"? xD.

My challenge here was with Emma; from the first moment for her outfit, I thought of colors that could highlight something physical about her, like in Jasmine's case: her aquamarine outfit highlights her beautiful brown skin. I wanted something similar for Emma: I chose blue because I think it brings out her green eyes and orange hair. I’m not an expert, and color theory isn’t my best friend, but to my eye, it looks good. You can give your opinion on my choice if you want x) (but please, don’t be cruel, okay? I cry over anything).

Did I break my head? A lot, but I’m happy with the result. VERY HAPPY ✨🔥💗🌻✨!!!

Although I owe you a good background in each drawing, the truth is that I don’t know how to make them, okay? I focused all my attention on Ray/Emma and not on the background details, so in the end, I ran out of ideas 😵‍💫.

Oh! Soon I will add some other relevant characters from the story adapted to some characters of The Promised Neverland, who in my opinion represent very well or is funny to imagine them like this 😋

I think the best part of having a ship is being able to share how much you love the details that can develop between them, the thousand and one scenes that look so good on both of them, and somehow it makes you happy just imagining them ♡. That’s why today I bring my favorite rayemma headcanons, maybe you who are reading this can find one here that you like or maybe we have one in common!! :D

I like to think that Emma, without doing anything specific or extraordinary, managed to awaken certain emotions in Ray that sparked internal debates within him—denials, evasiveness, and downplaying his own feelings. It’d be complicated because I feel Ray, with his mindset, would prioritize logic, what his mind dictates, or physical reactions over identifying his emotional feelings for her (specifically love here. We know Emma is the thread holding Ray’s sanity together since she saved him at GF, and even long before that, she was already one of the few important people in his life). That’s why it’d be hard for him to understand what he felt—whether it was right or wrong, how to handle it, etc. But I believe he’d eventually surrender to the idea that, at some point, it was no longer just "strong fondness" he felt for her. EMMA WOULD ABSOLUTELY BE RAY’S FIRST LOVE, I KNOW IT!!! 🥰

🌻;;Forehead kisses

I LOVE the idea of both Emma and Ray giving each other forehead kisses. In this case, I adore imagining Emma started this gesture between them. Emma, being the beautiful, radiant sun she is, is very affectionate and warm with everyone. But when it comes to Ray, I think she’d want to show him how special he is to her in a way only she can—AND THAT’S WHERE THE MIGHTY FOREHEAD KISSES COME IN!!! She’d give them before bed, after waking up together, just because she felt like it, or even to comfort Ray if he’s upset or sad. ISN’T THIS THE PUREST THING?!?!!

🌻;; Nicknames!!

Honestly, I think only Ray would use nicknames for Emma, like calling her "Antenna" affectionately or to tease her (ye Yuugo reference 😭). As for Emma, I love the idea that she prefers saying Ray’s name outright, so she wouldn’t give him nicknames.

Emma’s hair.

This is one of my FAVORITES!!! As time passes and Emma’s hair grows past her neck and frames her face, Ray offers to trim it if she wants. While cutting it, I think Ray would comment on her hair: that it’s pretty, that he loves its color, or that maybe she could grow it out someday and—in his opinion—she’d look beautiful. He’d also probably poke at the uncuttable long strand on her head (since the creators confirmed it’s impossible to cut, which is why Isabella couldn’t remove it either x) )

Ray's love language for Emma is cooking. Emma gives off major foodie vibes, so when Ray steps into the kitchen, he knows exactly how to please her. He also loves hearing her praise his cooking, and though he acts cocky on the outside, inside he’s like, "She liked what I made…♡" —my boy is over the moon 🥰✨.

Emma’s love language, aside from physical touch, would be gift-giving. Even if she’s scatterbrained sometimes, I feel Emma pays attention to anything that catches Ray’s interest. So Ray would be surprised when she shows up with an item/clothing/accessory/decor she noticed he liked: "Here, this is for you just ’cause you’re cute."

Yes? YES!

🌻;; “I love you”

Emma says "I love you" to Ray more often. Ray, on the other hand, saves it for specific moments, though he wishes he could say it as freely as she does. The thing is, when Ray says "I love you" to Emma, it makes him feel so exposed—he becomes submissive and flustered, that classic mix of shyness and genuine affection clashing inside him. He knows it’s the deepest phrase he can share with her. But when he does say it, after the initial butterflies, he repeats it more calmly, gazing at her with adoration and heartfelt sincerity—enough to melt Emma.

If they argue, they take some space, but after a few minutes, either Emma or Ray seeks the other out to talk and apologize. They’d end up snuggled up, showering each other with affection, and promising to try their best not to argue again. In this context, if Emma senses Ray’s anger toward her, she’d spiral into thoughts like, "What is it about me that upsets him?" And if Ray feels Emma’s anger, he’d just stare at the ceiling for minutes, pondering similar things. The point is, since they’re so attached and need each other, they can’t stay angry long. They always resolve things and reunite ❤️‍🩹✨
