Viva la Vida - Fitness Boutique Hotel Design
This is my final graduation Design Studio 3 project about designing a boutique hotel based on real and existing furniture shop building which is located in Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In my boutique hotel, my design is mostly focused on the amenities or services - the facilities are not only for customers that would like to stay for a couple of days, but also it is opened for customers that just want to visit and enjoy the facilities or services that are provided, such as gym, yoga, cooking class, cafe, swimming pool, sauna and massage therapy.
The name "Viva la Vida" in Spanish means live life which introduces business people or professional workers to spend their life in a healthy, relax and fun living lifestyle.
It is inspired by a reality TV show “Extreme Makeover” in which individuals volunteer to gain a life-changing makeover training for over a year from trainer Chris Powell. This boutique hotel is a fitness hotel that promotes the relation of getting healthy physically & psychologically in a fresh and relaxing ambiance. It is positioned in the heart of the city area, where plenty of companies and business people are found, this fitness hotel is specifically designed for workaholics who do not have time to maintain a healthy lifestyle. In addition, the strategic location makes it easier for people with hectic schedule. They can simply take the weekend off and stay in this hotel without having to go out of town.

Café
* The bulky wooden design stands like a column in the middle which spreads up to the ceiling symbolize a "tree" shape which interprets the natural concept of my fitness boutique hotel design.
Overall, my café provides healthy and scrumptious cuisine. The food that is served is not only based on veggies, but also any kinds of food such as french toast, apple pancakes, egg & broccoli pie, fruit ambrosia, greek breakfast burrito, grilled chicken and wheat-berry salad, oven-baked salmon, skinny chicken vegetable soup, easy chicken cordon bleu, tuscan boat, penne pasta, spaghetti pie, and etc. Basically, the chefs are trained to cook the food according to the average calories taken per person.
A healthy bar which serves good drinks and beverages such as fresh juices, smoothies or low-cal cocktails.

Yoga Room
* The trickling waterfall is continuously falling from the swimming pool water and designed with a big tree and plants in the middle of the void area. There is a transparent glass barrier in the yoga room which allows the customers to see through the water and feel the relaxing ambiance.
