Hey so I just saw your recent post and I was just curious, what I need to do and where I need to go join in on this event?

Hi! Welcome!

The fest works are hosted on A03 in a collection. The main requirements for participants for this fest are 1) you must have an A03 account (so you can claim a prompt) and 2) you must be an adult (since the works are hosted on A03, we will abide by their definition of adult as 18 and over).

Other than that, there are a few rules about what isn't allowed in your submissions (for example, Archive Warnings are not allowed.) The rules and general info explains those, as well as how and where to claim prompts, and how to submit your piece when it is ready. You can read those rules and general info here on this blog's posts, or over on the A03 collection page.

A reminder that submissions for the Naughty ZK Winter Fest are due this upcoming weekend (Nov. 28)! There are still prompts open in case anyone wants to hop in.🙂 Also, just a reminder in case all participants weren't aware: you can submit your piece before the submission date for approval if you are already finished. The collection will then be revealed to the public on Dec. 1st!

And a final note for participants of this particular fest: when posting/promoting your work on Tumblr, please be aware of the TOS concerning visual materials so we can reblog your post! This means that artists should be sure to crop out any ✨naughty bits.✨

Explicit text/fic is allowed according to Tumblr's TOS, but if you promote your work in the main Zutara tag, we also request that you place explicit text under a "read more" cut for this event. We are one month away from the submission date for the Naughty Winter Fest pieces!

Claiming is on a rolling basis and will remain open all the way up until the submission date (28.11), and there are plenty of prompts left to peruse and choose from over on A03. The rules and information for participating are on this blog and over in the A03 collection - with this fest specifically, please be aware that only adults may participate - and of course the ask box is here if you have any questions. Can’t wait to see the upcoming submissions.❄️

As you can see, they are in the form of bingo boards. Prompts come in sets of three, so there are eight sets per card (three rows down, three across, two diagonal).

PROMPT CLAIMING

❄️ First, carefully read or review the ground rules before proceeding, either here on Tumblr or in the fest collection over on A03.

❄️ Prompt claiming occurs on A03. On the left side bar of the collection, you will see ‘Prompts.’ Use the cards here to find a combo you like, or browse there.

❄️ Each prompt set should only be claimed once. Do not claim an already claimed prompt, and only claim one prompt. If you are a writer and an artist, you may do both, but please put your artwork in your fic - beginning, end, or wherever you want in the story, doesn’t matter. Just please do not upload it as a separate piece.

❄️ Prompts are meant to inspire and help, not hinder! If you use all three prompts, extra kudos! But you can also use only one or two prompts if you prefer. It’s meant to be flexible!

❄️ Once you have claimed your prompt, you can locate this information from your own A03 Dashboard. On the left toolbar toward the bottom, you will see the 'Claims’ button. If you click on that, it should show you your prompt card and the relevant fest info, such as when your submission is due.

SUBMITTING

If you are finished and ready to submit, it’s time to post it to the collection!

❄️ You may post any time before the submission due date. The collection is Unrevealed until the reveal date.

❄️When posting to A03, you must post it to the collection:  ‘NaughtyZKWinterFest2021′

❄️ The days between the submission date and the reveal date are for the admins to check over submissions and ensure they follow the requirements.

❄️ Do not post your work on any other platform until the reveal. After the reveal, cross-post away! Promote yourself!

❄️ When cross-posting to Tumblr: please mind the Tumblr guidelines when posting adult content. This means that images must be hosted elsewhere, with the explicit bits cropped out. Tumblr’s guidelines do not require explicit text to be under a cut, but out of respect for fandom members who do not want to see a swarm of explicit fic text in the main tag, please still put explicit fic excerpts under a read more tag. To be clear on what explicit means: is there a graphic depiction of genitalia and/or sexual acts being performed? If the answer to both of these is no, it is not explicit.

Summer in the Northern Hemisphere is drawing to a close, and cold weather is slowly approaching for many! But wherever you are and whatever the weather, this fest aims to spread fluff, joy, and more warmth to you this December.

There are two versions of this fest: nice👼🏿 and naughty😈

This blog is for the SFW fest. The Naughty fest can be found HERE.

You are welcome to participate in both, provided you follow the rules.

PRELIMINARY INFO:

🎁 Prompts released: Saturday, September 4th here on Tumblr.

🎁 Claiming on A03 opens: Saturday, September 4th. Claiming is on a rolling basis, so claims can be made up until the submission date.

🎁 Submissions Due: Sunday, November 28th 22:00 CET.

🎁 Collection Reveal: December 1st.

Prompts will be claimed on A03, and works will be posted to a collection on A03. The collection will be ‘Unrevealed’ until December 1st.
