"what if the brothers worked things out instead of ford falling through the portal" au but stan learns to take care of himself via taking care of his brother

ford is sleep-deprived, injured, probably malnourished, maybe even sick, and still manages to be stubborn despite it all. stan has his hands full dealing with it so he's got to make sure he's in good shape. he at least needs to in better condition than ford is

for example, stan's very willing to keep going hungry to make sure ford has food, but ford is so paranoid/traumatized from the things bill did that he won't eat. finally, out of exasperation stan takes a bite of ford's food, which inadvertently shows his brother it's "safe" and encourages ford to finally eat something

stan learns instead of sacrificing his own needs he can satisfy them alongside ford. and that he gets better results for the both of them this way

another example: stan thinks its his responsibility to stay up and watch over ford to make sure he's okay, even after they've found a stopgap measure to shut bill out of his mind. but turns out, even without a dream demon pestering him, ford only sleeps properly with his brother in the bed...and stan feels far more well-rested after he's spent a night holding ford close

okay, walk with me a little on this one.

forced prize fight as a trope with the stans they fall through some kind of rift and end up the prisoner of a nefarious extradimensional criminal cabal who arranges tournaments where imprisoned members of various species are forced to fight each other.

at first both brothers are set up in different brackets, forced to fight against monsters, kidnapped sentient nonhumans, or other interdimensional convicts looking to win their freedom.

stan's able to win despite his disadvantages thanks to a combo of brute strength, dirty tricks, and tips on the vulnerabilities of each creature/species that ford feeds to him thanks to everything he learned traveling the multiverse. and of course ford is already equipped with that knowledge and has prime fighting skills so he also survives his battles.

it remains nerve-racking for them to watch the other fight, though. especially once it dawns on stan and ford that if they both continue winning, well...sooner or later they'll be the only two combatants left standing...and it's hard to see a way out of it, especially once guys in charge start advertising how thrilling it'll be for the spectators to watch one of these humans have to execute his brother in the ring...big money in that kind of drama.

imagine stan making a collar for ford himself like how he made those fishing hats, he's all sheepish like "I know it's kind of crummy, we can get you a fancy real one, don't worry about it," but ford is already putting it on and he refuses to wear anything different

ford with a huge sweet tooth thats been suppressed and tightly controlled for thirty years. he's been subsisting on his food pills and is nervous over the prospect of eating sweets. but stan has a whole tray of cinnamon rolls coated in icing he's insisting on sharing with him...

stan's got the capacity to polish off his share of the pastries easy, but his brother eats his like a bird. with little shy nibbles. he needs his help to properly indulge.

ford's ironclad self control crumbling as stan crowds him against the kitchen counter, thigh between his legs, pushing a sticky sweet bun between ford's teeth as he slides a hand underneath his sweater. to feel his belly grow firm and taut. anyway.

anyone here like feeding/stuffing. I think stan needs to "help" his brother get over his portal/paranoid era food issues once they're dealing with everything post canon

okay okay ford letting stan take off his glasses as a sign of trust.

ford keeps them on at all times. he will even fall asleep wearing them, as thats a relic of his past and his need to always be prepared and ready to fight for survival.

letting stan touch them and take them away is a big step
