I understand the importance of being mature and professional as a world class athlete, but I don't see how Lewis can hug and pose with his arm around Alonso, essentially allowing Alonso to use him for good press. Fernando trashes Lewis every chance he gets to the press, invalidating his accomplishments and reducing Lewis' success to just his cars. Just last season, Alonso called Lewis an idiot and accused Lewis of only being able to start from the front of the grid. What does Lewis get out of being friendly with Alonso after being disrespected by him so many times?

Remember: Alonso is the same guy who attempted to blackmail his team into sabotaging Lewis, tried to bribe Lewis' mechanics to work on Alonso's car, sabotaged Lewis' qualifying time at the Hungarian GP '07, and even defended his racist fans who showed up to taunt Lewis in blackface. And Alonso's bitterness towards Lewis continues today.

It really makes me sick that this sport could celebrate this man and treat him like he's some kind of underdog, when he has some of the worst sportsmanship I've seen of any athlete. If Lewis had done even a fraction of what Alonso has gotten away with, he would have been ousted from F1 a long time ago.

Since the season starts in 2 days here are some of my predictions/what I want to happen during the season.

this might be a big ask but I want AT LEAST 2 or 3 first time/surprise winners and like 5 first time podiums

Gasly’s in my username but Lewis is my #1 driver and of course I want him to finally get his 8th but somethings telling me GEORGE might win it all.

that same something is telling me that lance will have a breakout year (prayers for at least 7 podiums and a win🙏)

Going off of #2 if neither merc drivers win the title then I think it’ll be 16 or someone completely random.

I haven’t watched any of the test sessions or practices so sorry if i’m chatting shit right now BUT I think Williams and AM are cooking up something filthy and disgusting this year. I think they’ll have good/decent seasons.
