Recently, the community has been getting some excitement over a development called Aptos Village which is anchored by a local natural foods market and other popular incoming tenants. The news is drawing some attention to the “tentative city” and gaining recognition that it has much to offer from the forests to the mountains to the sea and back.

Rio Del Mar State Beach is the main beach in the community of Rio Del Mar in Aptos, California. It starts in the waterfront area at the end of Rio Del Mar Boulevard and continues south for almost a mile on Beach Drive to the end. Beach Area. Visitors go to this place for swimming, surfing, boogie boarding, volleyball, paddle boarding, and fishing. Whales, dolphins, sea lions, and many types of birds can often be seen from shore which makes it a perfect spot for wildlife viewing.
