I love how blunt Lae’zel is, but not in a mean way?? Theo knows she isn’t mean lol.

My first play-through, I completely forgot my Druid could turn into an animal and was using her like a wizard. I think I used her wolf form once, then never again once Shadowheart showed she was scared of them. Theo’s background made it so fighting was rare so she would only ever change as a beat for easier hunting. I like to think wolf form used for hunting deer and game, and bear exclusively for fish. (Cat for chillin).

I feel Lae’zel would be the type to test someone’s skill through ambush. She means no harm! But Theo doesn’t know that for sure yet.

ALAS, I got sick again and hadn’t been feeling well enough to draw. My health has been a mess lately. >_>

Next few pages will be TRAINING MONTAGE! I haven’t had a chance to play more, so I might be milking this each a bit so I have time to reach the githyanki part of act 1…And with the new Dragon Age coming out, I might be doodling some of that so WHO KNOWS.

I swear, im just gunna get rid of her face tattoo, I CANNOT REMEMBER TO PUT IT IN!

Being sick for a month straight and catching Covid was rough. 🥲

Finally feel well enough to draw another page, though! I haven’t been able to play the game lately, partly because sick and partly because work prevents me from playing games that I loose track of time with, haha.

I’m so frustrated with shading, how do people do it so cleanly!? I’ll figure this shit out lol

I imagine Theo being embarrassed over not being able to defend herself as well as the others, but super open to learn! When I first played, I would totally waste Shadowheart’s spells and my Tav too. Most times Theo would be healed JUST enough to go back to camp for a long rest. Battles would take so long sometimes because I would forget my Druid could turn into an animal to fight. 🥲 (Wyll is my fav male companion, I hope I can draw him better next time lol)

and goddamnit i forgot the face tattoo again 🙂‍↕️

I started a new play-through, with Theo as my Tav again lol. When I first played, there wasn’t nearly as much many updates and now there’s stuff I hadn’t experienced yet! Im excited to see the updates I haven’t seen! I’m still going to make all the same choices as best I can, but recruit Minthara…I didn’t know you could recruit her and pushed her off a cliff in my first play-through and agro’d the entire goblin camp before I could explore it lol. That fight took SO long, I’m shocked I survived.

I barely have much free time after work, but these little comics before bed help me relax. I feel like I figured out the pen I like to draw with, but rendering is what destroys me 😔. Maybe I’ll try just cross hatch shade for the next one? I gotta watch some tutorials…

When I first started playing, I didn’t know how druids worked and I got my tav killed A LOT. (I just wanted to talk to animals and didn’t think my class through). I’d like to think this caused a lot of infighting and frustration with the companions who were more seasoned fighters, heh.

Idk how many pages this’ll end up being, but I’ll doodle when I can! I can’t shade at ALL anymore and it takes me forever. 😅 I think I’ll try a sketchy method for the next page and see if I can figure out something. I haven’t played bg3 for a long time though and when I did it was buggy and a lot of new things were added. I kinda wanna restart the game with Druid Theo again as a due over, but not sure if I should just start an origin? Probably on story mode though, I don’t got time for a challenge after work lol

Finally had a chance to doodle another little comic! I started a new job and been really super busy. I also got bored of shading…sooo it gunna look funky lol (I don’t have the patience for it)

My first tav Theo had a +1 in intimidation checks, which I thought was funny since she’s more friendly than intimidating. I imagine if she would be intimidating, it would be over a mistreatment of an animal! But in Act 1, she isn’t used to fighting in animal form and I figure eating too much as a wolf and changing back before digesting anything, her human stomach couldn’t handle it. (Idk how dnd Druids work). She gets better at fighting after a few more terrible experiences!

I think it would have been neat to some have special scenes for critical fails and nat 20s lol. Would have felt more special when you get one of those rolls.

More time, more doodles!

The way Astarion was just standing there, if your perception is successful, with his dumb little dagger when your first meet him had me giggling. I imagine my Tav being super trusting in Act 1 and gets absolutely offended to turn around to find Astarion has tried to trick her. Next few comics are gunna be more silly day to day/ companion interaction head cannon Act 1 stuff! Act 2, Theo gets her shit together and doesn’t die almost every battle (because I figured out how Druids work super late lol).

I’m so out of practice, I forgot how to draw more masculine ppl lol. The boys’ are gunna be lookin rough for a while as I make these. But it’s nice to get back into my old hobby. It’s fun to practice storytelling and make stuff for myself again. ☺️

ANOTHER DOODLE! Life’s been a mess so I’m glad I had a moment to draw some bg3 stuff.

I like to think Theo was real jumpy in Act 1 (Since my first instinct was to attack everything not within the Grove). Figured she lived in peace and privacy, so she’s awful at fighting and attacks too soon.

Theo’s reaction to a surprise hand coming out a portal would definitely to hit it with her staff. She helped Gale out in the end tho!
