So day 4... Was supposed to be muzzle practice but I changed around the list and didn't change today because I was already here. I could not motivate myself to do muzzles all day cause I really don't want to draw them. But I did something so I can at least say I touched the tablet today. And for all you haters I made at least one poorly drawn side profile muzzle, your welcome. My challenge my rules. Tomorrow is eyes and im exited for that!

Mid Season Patch notes
Hey yall! I know we are barely 4 days into this but I just realized how weighted the original list was to furry art and when looking at references for that I started realizing I actually like the more anime stylized ones better anyways. So we are pivoting(Its my rules so its not cheating) and remaking the list with more focus toward the anime style side and hybridizing them. The old list was:
Gesture drawing: 2-min poses (use humans and animal refs).✓
Head construction (front, 3/4, side) – anthro + anime humans.✓
Expressions: draw 5 exaggerated emotions on anthro faces.✓
Muzzle practice: dog, cat, fox, etc. – profile + 3/4 views.
Anime eyes: 10 styles, experiment with shapes and expressions.
Animal-to-anthro morphing: sketch a dog > stylized furry.
Freestyle day: combine everything so far into 3 character heads.
Simple anime-style body proportions (chibi, teen, adult).
Furry-specific anatomy (digitigrade legs, tails, paw-hands).
Dynamic posing: action gestures, flow lines, and movement.
Silhouette test: sketch 3 poses that read clearly in silhouette.
Foreshortening bootcamp: limbs toward camera, dramatic angles.
Anthro/human hybrid anatomy practice.
Draw 3 full-body characters from your own designs.
Fur texture study: short, long, stylized, fluffy.
Clothing: 3 outfits (casual, fantasy, futuristic).
Hands + paws: draw 10 each with gesture emphasis.
Anime-style hair: flowing, spiky, soft – draw 5 types.
Accessory focus: collars, jewelry, goggles, belts.
Color blocking: experiment with 3-character palettes.
FX: sketch speed lines, glow, magic, glitter, sparkles.
Thumbnail 3 character illustrations (simple scenes).
Background crash course: interiors, forests, sky gradients.
Draw your fursona or OC in full (colored if you have time).
Two characters interacting (posing, expression, emotion).
Dynamic angle: character from above/below.
Mood drawing: design a piece around a specific feeling.
Fanart day: redraw a fave anime character as a furry.
Final illustration sketch: choose your strongest idea.
Final illustration finish: clean it up or start coloring
And the new list is:
Gesture Drawing Warmup – humanoid & animal poses ✅
Head Construction Basics – anime and anthro heads ✅
Facial Expressions – focused on anthro emotion range ✅
Muzzle Practice – profile and ¾ view (in progress)
Anime Eyes – styles, shine, shape language
Anime Mouths & Expression Lines – stylized mouths
Anime Hair – shape, flow, bangs, volume (masc & femme)
Furry Ears – placement, emotion, integration with anime faces
Hands & Paws – anime hands, paw variants, stylization tips
Leg Types & Feet – plantigrade vs digitigrade, anime stylization
Tail Motion & Personality – simple to complex tails
Clothing Basics – stylized folds, skirts, jackets, loose fabric
Hybrid Character Design 1 – build 2–3 anime-furry heads
Dynamic Body Poses – jumping, stretching, fighting, floating
Cheek Fluff & Facial Silhouettes – visual identity through fluff
Stylized Body Proportions – anthro vs anime vs chibi hybrids
Feather Flow Practice – shape, layering, fluff
Tail Design Day – final pass on your fursona’s tail
Expression Masterclass – exaggeration, sparkles, tears
Interaction Studies – hugs, leaning, reacting
Hybrid Character Design 2 – full characters with outfit + pose
Stylized Lighting Practice – cel shading, anime glow, fluff shine
Lineweight & Inking Practice – clean lines, fuzzy edge tricks
Simple Backgrounds – minimal style environments
Prop Practice – phones, coffee cups, glasses, earrings
Outfit Day – cute, casual, fantasy, scene-fitting design
Scene Composition – 1–2 characters interacting in a space
Action Pose & Effects – magic blasts, motion lines, sparkles
Draw Your Fursona – final illustration, fully inked/sketched
Reflection Day – redraw a piece from Day 1–3 with your new skills
Anyways its probably subject to change again but for now this is what im going to be working with.

Day 3: Emotions on Anthro Faces Didn't quite hit 5 but I'm calling it for the day. Takeaway of the day is that even when not drawing I need to build up a folder or pin board of things that I like so that when I'm stuck like I was today I have a place to go see what I already do and don't like. A lot of my drawing time today was wasted going through google trying to find expressive furry drawings. While I do like the simple :3 that quite honestly a lot of artist use I found i felt it was against the spirit of the today's goal.
To the person that was warning about burnout and treating it as a chore, the biggest chore for me is trying to figure out what to learn and I feel for the most part this list helps with that. Today shows that when Im not feeling doing the full prompt I will show up and get something done even if it means not doing the prompt to the letter. I feel because of this I should avoid burnout but Ill definitely keep myself in check. Anyways see yall tomorrow!

I'm having a hard time finding references for exaggerated expressions. Might just try to practice my faces more from yesterday and try my best to put some amount of expression in there.

I never realized the bot problem before starting this blog. 90% of my interaction is from "people" "admiring" my work and asking for commissions.
Like girl you aint fooling me yet. I have posted like 2 things and neither have any reason to make you believe im good at this, let alone enough to make money from it.
Catch me in a year bots maybe then Ill believe you.

Day 2: Head Construction Practice (Front, ¾, Side Views) As I said in an earlier post I completely procrastinated today and just got this done as im trying to go to sleep. Definitely not the most effective practice and im already regretting saying Id post my work every day but hey technically I did something and I tried my best. Lets just hope in a months time I can do a bit better than this lol See yall tomorrow!

Actually I'm thankful I used the brush I did. I feel it will inspire good habits. I went back to mess around with it for a bit and realized that my main problem (for both using the brush and accidentally hitting undo) was how excessively I rest my ENTIRE hand on the screen. In just some short tests i was able to get much cleaner looking lines and never accidentally hitting undo just by acknowledging that and using my arm more.

Day 1: Gesture drawing: 2-min poses I did 15 poses, 5 from each of these sites. https://quickposes.com https://www.sketchdaily.net https://line-of-action.com I tried not erasing or undoing at all (still accidentally did by hitting the screen with 2 fingers accidentally a lot) I tried using a simple pencil brush without any stabilization and I really wish that I hadn't. the tilt was quite distracting to work around and my lines were not stable at all (although i guess thats something i need to practice anyway) All in all I have a long way to go but this is a start!
