Off hiatus!!

Hey guys! Ned here. I just wanted to start off by saying thank you for all your support that you've given me throughout the months of me being active here. It truly means the world to me. <3 Anyway, I just wanted to start off by saying that for now on, I'm going to try and keep my work on here original. I mean, I'll still make occasional fanart, but I'll try to focus more on developing characters and do commissions. Speaking of fanart, I have decided to still do a bit of Eddsworld art publicly. Not much will be posted, but I feel terrible having leaving the fandom angrily and not giving the show the send off it deserves. Also, I want to apologize again for my unprofessional way of handling what happened a few weeks ago. I guess it just struck a huge nerve with me... I don't get upset or angry easily, but that just made me super irritated. Oh! I started a Twitter!! It's @/nedtric and I'm usually fairly active on there! So... Yeah. Thank you for all you support!! <33

Gonna take a break

First off, I just want to say sorry about how pissed off I am in this post. I almost didn't post it publicly, but it crossed the line way too much to keep it private. If it was just me, I would’ve kept it private. but the fact that my friend got a threat was too much to keep hidden from the public.

Anyway, I just need some time with myself / need to decide what to draw from now on. I just haven’t been myself lately, and don’t want to force that upon you guys. Also, Relating to art, I've been wanting to share original works like animation and characters, so I might do that... I'm unsure. So... Yeah. I'll come back once my mental state stabilizes.

Also, thank you very much for all the kind things said in asks / messages. I won't post most of them / will respond privately, but they mean a lot to me. <3 feel free to message me if you need to know anything while I'm away.

Ned I'm so sorry you got sent hate, especially that nasty anon suicide baiting you. It isn't okay and you deserve so much better than that. I hope you and your friend will be okay, and please do whatever you need/want to do. You have people who are behind you 100%!

Thank you so much for that; I really needed that. I almost kept the threat private, but people shouldn't send stuff like that to people. People need to be made aware. And I'm glad to hear that people are supportive of us, that means a lot <33(Sorry if this doesn't make sense, I honestly don't know what I'm typing honestly, I'm super overtired / stressed rn)

Well last night I received a death threat because of temporarily leaving the Eddsworld fandom

Yeah. just because of this post, which I tried to be as reasonable as possible.. and if that wasn’t enough, someone sent a threat to a friend of mine too:

This is why I hate fandom culture so much.

Well, Im sure as hell not coming back to the fandom now, thanks nonny for making me and my depressed friend feel like worthless pieces of shit for trying to leave a fandom. Y’all brought this upon yourselves.

Gonna stop drawing Eddsworld stuff [unless the fandom calms down]

The fandom is getting out of hand. I love the show and everyone who has worked on it, but I refuse to feed a fandom so full of hate. Who knows if I’ll draw the characters again. I’ll still be in it, but I’ll probably draw Hamilton or something. I don’t even know yet. This also means that at least for the moment, I will not continue the storyboards of the Hamilton AU. I’m sorry. Maybe once this chaos dies down I’ll draw them publicly again. I just can’t handle the chaos with my shaky mental state. Especially since a lot of the hate is towards huge inspirations of mine. Sorry.

Who's getting hate?

Tom, Paul, Eddie, and I believe some fanartists are too. I'm too overtired to remember anything right now, sorry. It all started because of Tom's last week where he and Eddie jokingly kinkshamed a vore account that Paul had sent him, but then it got out of hand and all three of them are being targeted with hate right now. Honestly, the whole situation probably could've been avoided if that clip wasn't in the video, but still. No one reacted well. Eddie posted tweets apologizing, but the fandom has basically ignored that and I just... I can't handle drama.Sorry I rambled, I'm in a terrible mental state right now and am easily affected by hate (even if it's not towards me)
