TS2 Legacy Collection CEP Extra Tutorial

Hi guys! I just wanted to make this quick tutorial on this since it's the first time a lot of players will be doing this.

Step 1: Download CEP Extra Manual installation from ModTheSims linked here (Read all instructions included if you get confused)

Step 2: Extract the Zip to a folder

Step 3: Open the folder and place the package _EnableColorOptionsMMAT into the Sims3D folder located here: Program Files > EA Games>The Sims 2 Legacy>Base>TSData>Res>Sims3D

Step 4: Place the package _EnableColorOptionsGMND into your Downloads folder located here: Documents>EA Games>The Sims 2 Legacy>Downloads **Note: You will likely have to create this folder yourself which is easy. Simply right click inside The Sims 2 Legacy folder and create a new folder named "Downloads" and place that file right inside.**

Step 5: Open the 'Extras' folder inside the Zip

Step 6: Open the folder 'MyDocuments' and place the entire zCEP-EXTRA folder inside your Sims 2 Legacy document folder located here: Documents>EA Games>The Sims 2 Legacy

Step 7: Open the folder 'ProgramFiles' and place the entire zCEP-EXTRA folder inside your Catalog folder located here: Program Files > EA Games>The Sims 2 Legacy>Base>TSData>Res>Catalog

And thats it! You should be good to go now. You can check if it's working by the start up message. If you have that setting turned off you can also check to see if it's working by going into one of the households and using the design tool on objects that were previously not recolorable or expanded objects. I believe you can also check to see if it's working by checking the skin tone range in CAS but don't quote me on that lol. Anyway I hope this helped someone 💜

Decades - the witch's revenge

There is a legend that says, in the swamp in her old dusty hut lives an old witch, who looks for young people to steal her innocence, in order to stay young. But it's just a legend, Frank thought, those things don't happen. Until one morning in the spring of 1800, 15-year-old Frank was walking through the countryside and met a strange old woman. He was kind to her, he helped her, until the strange old woman insisted that he accompany her to her house, when Frank refused her, the witch got angry, but Frank managed to escape from her.

Morgan: Damn boy, he's just taking work longer, I'm going to have to use the last essence of my former lover, to return to my youth, I hope I can achieve it before time runs out

Morgan: Perfect!!! I've got it, now it's time to take what I need

Frank told his brother Joshua and his sister-in-law Anna what had happened, they calmed him down by telling him not to believe in fairy tales.

Anna: calm down, frank, I'm sure she was a crazy old woman. josh: yes little brother, don't be afraid, nothing will happen while you are under our guardianship, neither witches nor vampires will do anything to you!!

The next day, Frank went out riding for a while, but some desperate screams caught his attention.

Morgan: help, someone help me Frank: calm down, what's up girl!

Morgan: don't come close, get away from me!!! Frank: I just want to help… Morgan: the witch was chasing me With a single look, Morgan managed to fool Frank, he didn't realize it but he was under the witch's spell.

you are mine!!!

Frank: now I have to go my love, but I'll be back Morgan: don't go, stay with me Frank: I will stay with you all my life, my love, but I must tell my brother. Morgan: horse, don't let your master leave me!!

Immediately, frank's horse went crazy and rejected Morgan, frank fell to the ground and his hair fled the place.

And that was how the witch Morgan managed to get Frank to stay with her.

I take him to her house with tricks

And then, he accomplished his mission, he stole Frank's innocence.

It had been a month since Josh and Anna stopped seeing Frank, people were commenting that they had seen him with a beautiful young blonde, not far from his house, however, no matter how hard they searched, they couldn't find Frank.

Until Frank's trusty steed came home alone…

Anna: this morning cookie came home alone, I asked the neighbors and they told me they saw her galloping alone. josh: i feel bad for not believing in Frank, now we don't know where he is or if he's okay!!

Josh went for a walk with Cookie, to look for Frank but without success he returned home…

Frank managed to escape from the witch's cabin, however she chased him until she found him now she was angrier than ever!!

Morgan: how dare you abandon me, I should have put a more powerful spell on you Frank: stay away, you no longer have me under your control Morgan: insolent, I'll teach you to respect me!! Frank: stop!

Morgan: I curse you and your entire dependency, you will carry a curse your entire life and pass it down from generation to generation.

Not understanding what had happened, Frank, turned into a werewolf, went straight home to see his family. Unfortunately, Anna and Josh were very scared and Frank doesn't know how to deal with what is happening to him and decides to leave.

Frank:Anna, brother, I'm sorry to scare you, I think the best thing is that I leave, I don't want to get you in trouble.

Frank used to run without letting his brother and sister-in-law tell him anything, they searched for him for many years but never saw him again. Frank lived alone in the forest, until he mastered his curse!

Years passed, Frank spied on the family home, he was taking care of his brother and sister-in-law for a while, but for a while he left the country, lived in France and met more people like him, but it was time to go back, when he looked out the window and saw his brother and sister-in-law, they looked sad and had aged.

Frank slowly aged by the time he spent differently, he didn't want to lose his family and one night he had to come back.

Anna: yes, how can I help you? Frank: anna it's me Anna: oh my god Frank I thought we would never see you again. please come in, your brother will be happy! Josh:are you alive!!! my god frank we missed you so much!!

anna: it's been a hard few years, since you left, we searched for you for a long time and couldn't find you, we had a son, little igor, but he passed away at the age of 4 josh: you know i'm your brother but since you were a child you were with us the same way you were like our son we had a hard time with the loss of two children but God allowed you to be with us back

Frank:I am very sorry that you have gone through all this, I apologize but I did not know how to deal with what had happened to me.

josh: don't go, from now on you will be our son!

Decades challenge chapter 3 - who are you,really?

Lola, don't look at me like that… I swear he's a good man, I know I'm doing exactly what my parents wanted… but I can't explain to you, it's like something inside him makes me want to be with him forever. I should take it easy…

Mr. Bennet: So you have already decided? Frank: Yes, I'm marrying Brianna, she's the woman I've been waiting for.

Anna: Honey, if you've already made up your mind, you have to be honest with her....

Mr. Bennet: Anna is right, you have to talk it over with her.

40 years ago...

strange lady: hello young man, could you help me catch some toads? young frank: yes ma'am

young Frank: why do you need this? strange lady: well I'm the town healer and I need certain ingredients for my remedies…

Young Frank: here you are lady, now I have to go home, my brother and his wife are waiting for me.

Frank suffers from a curse, one day he made an old witch angry, who did the impossible to take revenge and get Frank to be hers, he fell deeply in love with a beautiful young woman, but nothing was what he thought, maybe it's time to say truth, before the past takes its place again.

Frank and Brianna have been dating for a while, but Frank is still hiding the truth, his parents advised him to tell the truth before harming himself, but Frank is afraid of losing her so he is just letting time pass.

Frank: today I'm going to talk to your parents Brianna: okay frankie...

That afternoon, the Bennett family gathered at Brianna's parents' house, talking and talking for hours, until Frank asked for their blessing on marrying Brianna. all was jubilation and joy in the house, George the happiest of all, was anxious for the wedding to take place.

Later, that day

Frank: will you marry me ? Brianna: yeeees!!

George: congratulations!! , this union will bring good things for both families!!

Frank: my love you are my sun the most important thing for me that's why I have to tell you a story I want you to know the truth briana: right? Frank: the truth of who I am, where I come from, my parents… I just want you to get to know me better…

Extra chapter - The party where he fell in love with me

Bri: he hasn't arrived yet, he said he was coming but it's too late…

Frank : hi bri Bri: I thought you were not coming Frank:I had something to do but I came,would you like to dance with me tonight? Bri:yes, but away from all these people

Bri accidentally steps on Frank and falls into his arms in a tender hug. and you know... one thing leads to another... Looking into each other's eyes, they slowly approached until they melted into a kiss.

Not knowing how it happened, they continued kissing for a long time until Frank looked into her eyes and said: Frank: Could you give me time to fix some issues, after that I'll come to ask your father for his blessing to marry us, Brianna, you're the woman I've been waiting for so long, I don't want to lose you Bri: Frank, why would you lose me?

Frank:There are things that I still can't explain to you but I promise you that you will know them…

Frank: meet you and if you give me the opportunity I would like to know you better Bri: too close (whispers)

Bri: Frank, you don't have many options, our marriage was arranged, only you have the last word, and you should talk to my father, I'm just a bargaining chip in this transaction.

Overly Bright CAS Fix

Fixes Sim parts being too bright in CAS on modern hardware if they were made without tangents or if you’re playing with useshaders on false. Replaces ancient and unsupported fixed function shaders with pixel shaders to achieve this.

Download: SFS / Dropbox / MTS

If you have this issue, chances are there’s no point in playing with useshaders on false - it actually performs (and looks) worse, but it will still fix items that appear like this in CAS even with useshaders on true.
