Look... I fully respect the Bridgerton costume designers' decision to just abandon historical accuracy and do their own thing.
But I will never, EVER forgive them for not using period accurate British court fashion in the one setting ridiculous enough that they might have actually pulled it off.

Today at Pemberley, The 29th of April:
Several of Pemberley’s staff were detained for the entire day by Lady Catherine de Bourgh. They were put to task helping The de Bourgh’s own servants pack all of Lady Catherine’s possessions. This was despite, Pemberley’s housekeeper, Mrs. Reynolds’s best attempts to prevent her staff's purloining.
Mrs. Elizabeth Darcy had to reassure a profusely apologetic Mrs. Reynolds that it was quite all right if the usual household chores were delayed or overlooked due to the unavailability of the servants. After which, she went in search of her husband.
She found Mr. Darcy in the library, tucked in a far corner that was difficult to see from the doorway.
“We are under siege,” she told him.
Mr. Darcy put his book aside. “We are lucky then to have such a competent General.”
“You are competent in all things, my love, but I would not call you a General.”
Mr. Darcy gave her a pitying look. “I was referring to yourself, Eliza.”
“With what madness are you afflicted?” Mrs. Elizabeth Darcy shot back. “I have not agreed to any such commission.”
Mr. Darcy picked his book back up. “It was in your marriage vows.”
“I recall no such vows.”
“And yet,” he said casually. “They were sworn before God and all present. If you do not believe me, I could write to your father. I am confident he would endorse the truth of my claim.”
“I am certain he would,” Mrs. Darcy said, though her tone was of exasperation rather than agreement.
