Many people asked if I would continue the mermaid theme I won't hide that I really enjoy reading your thoughts/headcanons and nice words, so I thought about finishing Neige and the staff There won't be any art every day, since I don't have the opportunity to draw every day anymore, but I'll try not to drag it out for too long

🪽🍊 Fantasy AU

Knight Tenya and runaway-royalty Jiyume,,,

Jiyume, who was the second prince, couldn't deal with the oppressive and abusive environment of the castle and ran away. Eventually being found and taken in by a Mage, Shouta Aizawa, who began teaching Jiyume magic. All while also working at his tavern.

Tenya, who is a knight hired by Jiyume's family, tasked with finding Jiyume and bringing him back to the castle. Going to Shouta's tavern to post a request for assistance in finding a person. Being vague, as to not let information slip into the wrong hands.

Jiyume who sees this request and is taken with it. They've been wanting to go on a quest for the longest time and decide to join Tenya. Shouta allows it after some convincing.

Tenya and Jiyume who travel together finding leads and what not. Not knowing that the person they're actually trying to find is Jiyume.

They begin to grow close as Tenya begins to fantasize about being Jiyume's knight instead. Devoted to this wonderful person that he's been travelling with all this time. Jiyume begins to wish that the quest would never end just to spend more time with Tenya.

Eventually the two find out that Jiyume is the one they're searching for and Tenya tells him to just go home with him. Jiyume obviously refuses and tries to explain how horrible it was there. He asks him to not force him back and says that Tenya should listen to him since he's technically his knight. Tenya hesitates before steeling his resolve and telling Jiyume that he follows the Kings orders, that Jiyume will come back as is Tenya's mission whether he wants to or not.

Tenya asks Jiyume to just go with him lest he is forced to hurt them.

They fight and Jiyume almost escapes but Tenya manages to knock him out. Tenya takes him back to the castle.

,,,,,, something something Jiyume becomes a shell of who he was and Tenya sees this. Tenya didn't understand the extent of how bad Jiyume said it was and now that he does he begins to regret it immensely. Tenya feels incredibly guilty and realises just how much he's hurt them.

Tenya eventually figures out a way out and helps Jiyume escape. They talk. Tenya feels it's best he leaves because he hurt Jiyume so much. However, Jiyume doesn't want him to leave. Yes, he hurt them, but Jiyume still loves him and they know Tenya wasn't actually aware of the extent of things.

They make up, make out, and go back to Shouta's tavern. They live out the rest of their days happily ever after, Tenya still being Jiyume's devoted knight and Jiyume being Tenya's caring royal (master? Idk what a knight calls their "employer" outside of Highness and Lord).

🪽🩸🍊 dorms

Once the dorms get implemented Himiko basically spends as much time in the class A dorms as her own. It's most common that she sleeps over, to the point where class A were no longer shocked to see her sitting with them at the breakfast table.

Tenya had at first tried to put a stop to it, as conflicted as he was. On one hand, he did enjoy having her there. On the other, it was definitely against regulations. Neito was as desperate to put a stop to it.

It only resulted in Himiko only sleeping over at Jiyume's room - because in all honesty, they didn't give a fuck about the situation. If they got to spend time with Himiko then it was all good.

Eventually Tenya started feeling a little left out so he stopped nagging her about it. She then went back to sleeping over at his room sometimes as well. Neito continued to be annoying about the situation though.

Nobody in class A minds, they're all rather fond of Himiko actually. She's sometimes even invited to class activities simply because she's there so often. Yay.

🦗❄️to crush

Jaimie struggles with feeling like they have no control over their own life, and in a sense that is the truth.

From the very beginning when they suddenly woke up in NRC they had immediately lost all control over their situation. A teen stuck in another world with no way home, there wasn't anything they could do.

This loss of control only got worse through the magic everyone else around them possesses. Jaimie already has no knowledge of the new world they found themself in, nor anyone they could rely on. Crowley was there, but he is as unreliable as they come. Grim, Ace, and Deuce weren't particularly keen on actually helping Jaimie without a reward either. This left them completely alone an isolated in a completely new environment which they new nothing of.

Night Raven College has a very strict hierarchy, a dog eat dog one. Wherein the strong rule over the weak. And Jaimie is the weakest there is in the school.

In such a place like Night Raven College, Jaimie was already vulnerable. To the point where they could be crushed within an instant. Their last effort to avoid that fate was by putting on a mask. One that wouldn't let anymore vulnerability slip past. Jaimie was not afforded the luxury of mourning their loses, crying over their pain, or expressing how they truly felt. For in a place like Night Raven College, that could spell your doom.

As the situation grew more and more out of Jaimie's control, as the situation grew more dangerous and the fate of being crushed loomed over their head with an ever-thining thread Jaimie begun to cling unto their mask even more tightly. With every overblot they got more wounds, both mental and physical, yet could let neither be shown. Rather they face the risk of it being used against them.

Through this they learnt to supress their emotions even further. To wear the mask so tightly to their face it felt like their true face. Until it eventually became their second skin.

Then Jaimie mets Neige, someone who − while still preforming like them − is unlike the people from Night Raven College. Someone sweet, and delicate, whom, despite his magic, Jaimie could surely crush if they wanted to. Like everyone else could with them.

Through Neige, Jaimie begins to experience both a sense of power and control that was forcibly taken from them. But also kindness. Neige saw through Jaimie's mask and encouraged them to finally feel their emotions again.

🦗❄️ love / understanding

Neither Jaimie nor Neige has ever outwardly spoken of the love they hold for the other. Yet they are the only ones who know the other for who they truly are, and that is enough. For two people who hold their feelings and secrets so closely to their chests, having someone else who understands them − someone they can trust with their truth and show their true self to − is worth mote than any proclamation of love.

🪽🩸🍊 friendships

In my yumeship canon, Himiko never became a villain and instead joined UA - for reasons I can specify another time. However she ended up in 1-B while Jiyume and Tenya ended up in 1-A.

All three of them have friends across both classes, Jiyume having the most of them and Tenya simply spending a lot more time within his own class.

Himiko's main friendgroup within her own class is with Neito, Setsuna, Kinoko, Shihai, and Pony. However, she spends so much time with class A that she's also very well friends with Ochako, Tsuyu, Tooru, Mina, Izuku, Shouto, and Fumikage.

Jiyume is honestly friends with, like, everyone - sorta quirk related but anywho! The main people they hang out with is Tooru, Izuku, Ochako, Shouto, Momo, Mashirao, Fumikage, and Rikidou from class A. From class B is mainly Sen, Yui, Juzo, Reiko, and Neito.

Tenya mainly spends his time with Izuku, Ochako, Shouto, Tsuyu, Momo, and by extension of Jiyume: Tooru. However, the person he speaks most with from the other class is Itsuka, Nirengeki, and Juzo.

Despite all this, though, the people these three obviously spend the most time with is each other. Jiyume has known both of them since junior high after all.

🦗❄️ family

Both Jaimie and Neige don't have traditional families, at least anymore.

Neige never truly had a traditional family, as his parents abandoned him when he was far too young. She can barely remember them anymore. However, because of that she met her true family. The dwarfs, his brothers. They all lived together from then on, but it was a struggle. The dwarfs were only children themselves too. Yet they needed money.

Work was hard to come by, especially for children and even more so for dwarfs. Therefore it was up to Neige to earn money which led him to acting. Of course she truly does love acting, it's one of her passions. Yet he cannot erase the precursors for why he was led to it.

Because of this, Neige sometimes wonders how it would be like if he did have a normal family.

Jaimie's only family - or what they consider family in this world - is Grim. A talking raccoon-weasel-cat-thing. With flames. Of course, Jaimie does really love him. They want nothing more for Grim to be happy and achieve his dreams, hell, they'd be willing to exchange their life for his. No matter how annoying Grim could be.

However, it doesn't erase the fact that they did have a family. Before they were unwillingly sent to Twisted Wonderland. Admittedly, they were never really close to their family. To Jaimie, it felt more like living with roomates or something; nothing like how families were said to be like. They barely even spoke, nevertheless saw, their younger brother. It was more like Jaimie was a ghost in their own home.

It had never bothered them much back then. Jaimie could never bring themself to care and frankly, they actually wanted nothing more than out of the house. To never speak to them again.

Yet, when that actually happened. Jaimie was sad, devastated actually. It's ironic and painfully cliché. It wasn't as if the hurt and the feelings regarding their family had changed, but Jaimie at the very least wanted to option to be able to reach out to them. To say goodbye. To get closure from those who at that tim been the ones to hurt them the most. But they weren't allowed it.

Yes, Jaimie loves and cares for Grim like they're family. And yes, they did have a family before. However, Jaimie still wonders what it would be like to have a normal family.

A few times Neige has asked Jaimie about their family, how it's like and so on. Jaimie appreciates Neige for allowing them the space to talk about their previous life, one they had to so desperately supress to be able to keep being strong in Night Raven College. However, Jaimie is aware of Neige's past. They see the dream-like gaze in her eyes and slight downwards tilt of the corners of her lips.

Neige wishes to know what it would be like to have a normal family, and Jaimie is sorry that they can't tell him how it'd be like.

They both have their families. However, they can't help but wonder what their life would be like if they were normal.

🪽🩸 drabble

The class clamours as the lesson lets out as most begin to head out towards the canteen. Tooru begins to chat Jiyume's ear off as the rest of their friends wait for them. He hums occasionally in response to the conversation but mainly lets it flow between their friends. He had never been known for talking much anyway.

Jiyume watches as Tooru's uniform sleeves wave around wildy as she engages with some trivial debate with Uraraka. Izuku blushes and mumbles when Uraraka asks for his input every now and again as Tenya gives his as well. The normalcy of the scene both warms Jiyume's heart and makes them play with the hem of their sleeve.

Shoulders shrunk in and wings twitching, he chastises himself for not being able to just appreciate the present. Jiyume walks right by their sides yet couldn't feel anymore distant.

"Yuuchan!" A girly voice loudly singsongs from behind them. Jiyume already knows who the voice belongs to so he isn't thrown off guard when Himiko all but jumps on his back - carefully, directly in between his two wings, wrapping her arms around his neck and nuzzling into him. The action doesn't make Jiyume flinch as he knows that Himiko is always super careful with actually touching his skin - despite how much she has said she actually wants to. "Hiya! Are you heading to lunch can I join you? Oh! And have you noticed anything different about me?"

Nodding as the rest of his friends all begin to gladly extend their invitations for eating with them, Jiyume slightly turns his head to glance at Himiko. Her cheeks are tinted red with blush - as they often are - and she's wearing her signature wide grin. Yet the difference isn't hard to miss.

The two messy buns that had practically become synonymous with her were no longer on top of her head. In it's place was a pink headband and a messy braid.

"Your hairstyle," Jiyume mutters slightly wide-eyed. The messy buns was a hairstyle was one that Himiko loved, now that she had more freedom to express herself without her parents' constant interference. So it wasn't often she changed it, and if she did she typically just left her hair down.

Himiko jumps down from Jiyume's back and instead clings to his side. Tenya moves to the side a little to make space for her as she wraps her arms around Jiyume's arm. "Uhuh!" She giggles, expectant gleam in her cat-like eyes. The grin on her face so wide Jiyume actually fears it might split her face apart.

"It's cute," he nods, looking down at her with the same blank look in his eyes that he always has. Yet a tiny smile tugs on his lips. "You're very pretty today, Himi-chan."

Eyes widening and pupils dialating, Himiko's blush deepens ever further across her face. With glitter in her eyes she squeals and giggles as she nuzzles into Jiyume's arm. "You're so cute, Yuuchan! I love you so much, I could just eat you!"

The entire interaction makes Tooru also squeal as she attempts to hide her giggles behind her hands, albiet unsuccessfully. Izuku and Uraraka blush with shy smiles as they look at the very public display of affection, and Tenya simply smiles at them before also complimenting Himiko's new hairstyle.

"Yes, indeed! Your new hairstyle is most becoming, Toga-kun!" Tenya comments while adjusting his glasses. Himiko giggles with a bright smile as she thanks him.

"Totally, Himiko-chan!" Tooru joins in, "the new hairstyle is so pretty!"

Then Uraraka follows with a determined nod, "Yeah, it's super cute!" Himiko giggles and preens under all the praise as she hugs Jiyume's arm. Probably feeling rude and slightly pressured, Izuku awkwardly adds:

"Y-yeah! L-looks super- uh, nice! Yeah, nice, Toga-san." His ineptitude with simply complimenting girls almost makes Jiyume concerned, but Izuku has always been especially shy so Jiyume doesn't put too much thought into it.

Himiko giggles, fondness glittering in her eyes. "Hehe, thank you! You guys are all so cute!" She says practically skipping. Jiyume can't help the fondness seep into his own chest at the sight.

He's well aware of Himiko's past and how she had struggled to truly be herself around class- and schoolmates. Seeing her finally able to have the support she didn't have before, allowing her to truly smile and be happy - accepted for who she is without needing to repress anything, makes Jiyume happy.

"Isn't Monoma going to be angry that you're sitting with us again?" Jiyume raises an eyebrow at Himiko as she pouts and rolls her eyes.

"Whatever, he can get over it," she huffs, "I just want to sit with my crushes! A guy like him just doesn't get it..." Izuku and Uraraka's faces instantly flush red at the reminder as Tooru giggles again, fully entertained. Jiyume just hums in response.

Tenya nods gravely as he begins, "precisely,Toga-kun! Monoma-kun will simply need to move on from this, you are allowed to make your own choices which he should have no say on!"

"Right?! You so get it, Iida-kun," Himiko beams as Tenya responds with a satisfied smile and nod in her direction.

"The hard part of that is actually getting Monoma-kun to move on," Tooru mumbles in annoyance.

Uraraka nods vigorously as she chimes in, "yeah! He's, like, totally got it out for us, to an extreme degree."

"Don't worry, though!" Himiko says, "I'll make sure Monoma-kun doesn't bother you guys!" A dangerous glint flashes in her eyes as Jiyume hums.

"Let's just get our lunches and sit down."

"Okay, Yuuchan!"
