If you hold this dark stone figurine and make a promise, misty words will rise to the surface like ghosts in a black lake. The answer of the Sphinx is cryptic, but absolute. It tells you whether or not you will keep your oath.
The Sphinx does not care about your intentions, about the fine print or about who is holding you accountable. It simply tells the future. The response you get may provide a clue to the circumstances, but likely will not. Be warned - many treasure hunters believe the Sphinx is simply an honored figurehead to swear on, and they are destroyed trying to change their fate.
Just saw “voy que” used in some song lyrics, like, “voy que quero”, but I can’t seem to find any references. How does it translate and how is it used? Thanks!
My assumption is it's the song voy que quemo
It's kind of like "Imma" if that makes sense. I read it like "Imma burn"
It's sort of like an idiomatic expression but slang. It's not super common in official things I tend to think of it as more colloquial Latin American but I don't know that for sure. It reads like a sense of immediacy or kind of a more slang urgent version of "going to"
[I'm not sure if it's a 1:1 equivalent but maybe something along the lines of how people use "finna" in English (usually AAVE) slang]
There's another song I know of called voy que vuelo [which I believe is Mexican] - literally it's "I'm going (that/since) I'm flying" but it means like "I'm out" or like "heading out" or something along those lines. Sometimes people use it like an intensifier like "really fast". I kind of think of it like "I gotta bounce" rather than "I will fly"
My assumption is that voy que is somewhere between "I will", "I gotta", or "I'm about to"
[big crashing sound] Did anyone else hear that!? I think God fell from the Kingdom of Heaven! Come on everyone, let's feast on his corpse until something bad happens!
