Obscure Webcomic 2.0 - Round 2-P

Hero Oh Hero - Ongoing

Hero Oh Hero is a gorgeous pixel webcomic that follows the story of not one, not two, but three protagonists within the same world. One is Burk, a cheerful but strange muscle man who's only goal is to beat up bad guys and it's one he accomplishes very well (if he can figure out where to go first). The second is Noah, a young boy who'd much rather be by himself reading, but gets roped into a program from the totally not shady government to raise magic using children into soldiers. The last is Tobi, a girl from a world that seems to run under the logic of video game rules who then gets warped away into another world, specifically starting out in a town run by criminals. Her only trustworthy companion is a strange, faceless being who presumably is named Three.

Hero Oh Hero is a comic laced with humor, deep world building, and incredible characters from both a personality and a design perspective. While it's not short by any means (and still going!) buckle yourself in for an incredible ride.

A Moment of Peace - Hiatus

A Moment of Peace is an online comic about riddles, gods, shy monsters, enlightened slugs, stealing dreams, crushing hope, and falling in love.

y’know, all this recent Tumblr activity has got me in a fan artsy mood, and instead of some video game I thought I’d start with Tobi from @neorice‘s webcomic, Hero Oh Hero! With a little bonus art from 2009, back before the reboot/redesign when it was called A Path to Greater Good~

The comic follows 3 different plots - Tobi’s seems like a reverse isekai so far, her being from some weird video game-y land transported to the… comparatively (?) more normal world of the rest of the cast.

Can’t believe I’ve been following this comic for well over a decade now! It’s been restarted a few times but since becoming Hero Oh Hero it’s been incredibly consistent and, moreover, the iteration has helped the story find its feet very well! (and, well, maybe helps me feel better that I keep rebooting my comic ideas before I end up posting them! Haha!)
