Ten jobs I think tinies should do more
Jewelry maker
Window cleaner
Barber
Detective
Door-to-door salesperson
Lumberjack
Realtor
Driving instructor
Priest
Hitman
If you know of any tinies who do these, point me in their direction! I feel like it’s rare to find tinies who even have any jobs at all, especially if they’re not a shapeshifter, lol

A giant and a tiny dating, they keep giving each other like the “wrong” sized flowers. Like the tiny goes out and gets a bouquet of forget-me-nots and the giant holds it between two fingers like. “thank you so much I will cherish these forever” and then the giant gets the tiny a rose or something that the tiny can use as an entire bed.

There’s not enough mainstream tiny species !!
Like we’ve got fairies/pixies, and that’s mostly all the humanoids you’ll see outside of like, g/t and fandom spaces.
There’s a lot of like, people who make works on here and ao3 about borrowers, but those are derived from an actual story so it’s not like people make stuff about borrowers for professional media.
It’s great when shows and stuff make up their own tiny species! It makes the world unique and interesting, and it can offer different types of tiny cultures. Because when something just has fairies, it’s sort of just “they’re small and magic (and in some cases, a little bit evil)” and it gets old.
Same goes for giants. Literally all the giant representation is just, “giant”. And you usually don’t see much of the giant’s world (or like, the city they came from or whatever) because the main character probably isn’t the giant and for some reason it’s harder to put a human in a giant town than a human in a fairy town?
Not like there’s a lot of any g/t in mainstream anyway. It’s just annoying to have all of it be basically the same tropes over and over again.

Fight flight or freeze I guess
Realistically I would just stand there and stare like a deer in headlights, but it would be so funny if I attack them and gnaw at their fingers. Then when they drop me in shock I go for the ankles.
What would you do if a giant starts dashing towards you? Like your looking behind you and you see a giant with their hands out (maybe getting ready to snatch you and hug you or snatching you cuz they are mad at something idk its up to you)

There should be more giants who wear their tinies in a necklace. Like you know those baby harnesses, but then attach it to a string and put your lil guy in there and just like. wear him. It would be so stylish

I feel like shrinking/growing are really under-appreciated as storytelling tools!
If a piece of media is just hoping for the visual of a character changing in scale, they kind of have them cycle between shrinking ridiculously small and growing uncomfortably large. This might be within the span of a few seconds for a quick gag, or it could be the feature of the “episode”. But it’s deeper than just the look of a change of scale.
This can be used to either demonstrate a characters’ personality, or change it. If it’s not on purpose, shrinking/growing can show how a character handles unexpected situations. It can show how they feel about standing out (because, who wouldn’t pay attention if someone just CHANGED SIZE??). It can also show how that character accepts help (because if you’re itty bitty or absolutely massive, you’re gonna need help to navigate your situation properly). Size changing is great for demonstrating how characters react to strange situations.
However, I only really see this narrative if the world surrounding the characters doesn’t have giant or tiny elements built in. What I mean by that is, if an earthling superhero gets hit with a shrink ray, that’s insane and changes how they see the world even when they’re not in an active battle; but in a fantasy world, shrink/grow potions might be something you can brew at home, and there’s probably a fairy village just down the street, so it’s more casual and quite possibly planned for a character to spend a day as a different size. This doesn’t mean they’re exempt from any character arcs, but it makes the shrinking/growing less scary, because the character has reliable resources and people they can rely on.
Size changing can be a pretty vulnerable experience for a character, and I always appreciate when the trope is used; especially when it’s used to highlight the specific characters’ fears and flaws. I really wish it was used more, because it can be a physical representation of the emotional journey of a character.

You’ve had a snow globe sitting on your shelf for years. You were too young when you got it to remember who gave it to you. Maybe a grandparent or aunt?
Anyways, you’re finally moving out of your parent’s house. You start packing up all your shelf decorations, including the snow globe. Of course you give it a little shake, just for fun.
But as the snow settles again, you think you see a tiny person walk out of the little house and shake their fist at you.
Now, this is impossible because that house does not have an interior, tiny people do not exist, and if they did they would have drowned because snow globes are filled with water.
But a memory starts to come back to you, and you just can’t shake the feeling that you’ve met them before.

Religion but it’s a bunch of humans “worshipping” a tiny
None of them actually believe they’re a deity sent from another world, but they’re like three inches tall so what’s the harm in entertaining it. Gives them an excuse to add an extra holiday to the calendar too.
There’s all these over the top ceremonies and performances where the tiny is presented out of an ornate box for a large crowd and they act all regal, oblivious to the fact that everyone in the audience is not in fact there because they believe them.
Maybe secretly the tiny IS a real god and finds out that everyone is false followers one day… and all hell rains down on the town

Holy cow imagine if there was a high school movie where the delinquent group was a bunch of Tinies-
They would travel the school through holes in the wall and go from classroom to classroom stealing things, like one teacher is suddenly completely out of paperclips or a student mysteriously can’t find any of their pencils, and of course they would yoink every singe test answer sheet they could find.
Everyone knows it’s them but they can’t be punished because there’s “no evidence” (they’re hiding everything inside the walls)
The main character would accidentally walk in on them taking a sandwich from some kid’s lunchbox and the gang would start blackmailing them to hell. Like they ride around in the MC’s backpack and cheat off their homework and go through their phone or whatever absolutely stupid teenage tiny stuff they do.

Im pretty sure I’d never feel sad again if I found a tiny living in my walls. Not that we’d have to interact, I think it would just be nice to know someone was there with me.
