I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if you are being given content for free (fanfic, fanart, etc.), YOU ARE NOT OWED THAT CONTENT. The person creating that content owes you NOTHING.

An artist friend of mine usually does art for a specific fandom, but she recently started exploring artwork for another fandom she’s in. People have started harassing her for doing so, because it’s a deviation from the fandom she usually creates content for, and she’s been accused of dropping creating art for the first fandom. She still does art for that fandom, has a side blog dedicated to an AU of that fandom, and she never said that she was discontinuing any artwork for that fandom.

AND YET there are still ungrateful jerks out there who are complaining that she chose to create artwork for another fandom she enjoys. The sheer audacity has me on the floor.

I don’t know why people think that if someone chooses to share their talent online that it means this person is now their little puppet who they can tell to dance at their whim. BE GRATEFUL FOR THE CONTENT THAT YOU ARE CONSUMING FOR FREE.

oh and when i was a year old, after i got my foot amputated my parents were pushing me around in a stroller at a street festival in miami and i was chewing on my foot or whatever and this street performer came up to us and was like “aw i bet that tastes good!!” and my dad was like “yeah look at what she did to the other one!!!!” and pulled back the blanket covering my left leg to show a stump with a huge scar on it and i’m pretty sure my dad terrified that poor man
