I’m reading this one manga and at first it really annoyed me how the MC struggled to talk to other people and was so meek that she overthought about everything, including if her help was even wanted or if would be viewed as a burden. At first it really annoyed me, until I had the realization I do the exact same thing

"Why didn't they just communicate?? They're so stupid!" Have you considered that communicating with someone you love and value and don't want to hurt is scary and that vulnerability takes practice and that perfect characters with perfect words make the most boring stories of all

As someone who’s on the autism spectrum, just having reminders of how to act in situations so that I don’t come across and rude or malicious is really nice.

Another reason I find the "how do people on this website not already know basic courtesy like this, wow what a socially inept website that people on here don't already know basic courtesy like this" responses to my post to be kinda weird and confusing is like, how do I say this, with things like "acknowledge everyone in the group in a group setting" or "hold the door for the person behind you" or "if you give someone a ride home make sure they get inside before driving off", these are all strictly IRL actions, how would I even have any way of knowing whether or not the average Tumblr user does and doesn't do these things?

Do they think I am going around to every Tumblr user's house with binoculars and observing what basic courtesy they do and don't follow? Like, sitting in a tree outside their house with my binoculars and writing down in a little notepad "oh this Tumblr user didn't make an effort to make sure everyone in the group was included, just like the other 578 Tumblr users I have observed today. Better write about that on my blog so they can know better."
