Having done a rewatch of the show after finishing the comic was an absolute wild ride.

Mark’s change and growth throughout the comic was so well done to the point where when I went back and rewatched the show, I actually ended up disliking him quite a bit.

Throughout everything he went through, all the hardships and journeys and story arcs that made me go “what else could possibly happen now…?”, Mark just grew up, whether is was because life had forced him to or out of his own volition, either way, I could feel the massive difference in character.

This is development well done, the kind where you don’t notice how far the character has come until you look back and truly see how they’ve changed.

Mark is an incredibly well-done protagonist. Layered, human, complicated, stupid, brave, determined and so much more. I love that we get to see him become, not just exist.

Hot take: a lot of you don’t like Eve as much as you liked Amber because so far in the show she and Mark haven’t been FIGHTING.

You guys like drama and you make that fact extremely obvious when you call Mark’s only good relationship so far “boring” even though they DO have chemistry, they do much more than just talk and then crack, and they definitely did not lose personality (emphasis on Eve) just because they are in the honeymoon stage.

Mark and Eve are just a better fit for each other right now because their personal and secret lives can coexist, why are ya’ll mad that Mark is happy I’m confused😭😭

Disclaimer this isn’t an Amber hate post I love both her and Eve I’m just so sick of people constantly nitpicking the show and running so far with it they gaslight the entire fandom into thinking something based off maybe two scenes.
