Dreams DO Come True
As I am typing this, I am having to wipe away the tears from my eyes and compose myself. Watching Disney vlogs has a new impact on me. In six months, my new home, will be the most magical place on Earth. So many things I’m yet to discover and experience.
I get these little glimmers of emotions every day or so - realisations that my dream is coming true. Before I came to university, working in Walt Disney World was my main goal. In my first year I said, I want to work for Lush and Disney. Lush was accomplished a few weeks after that statement, and now Disney, three years later as I finish my time at university.
After being rejected last year, I was so convinced I would never work for Disney. It broke my heart. But here I am today, ready for the adventure of a life time.

Busy Bees!
I won’t lie, I’ve been super busy past few weeks. I’ve just submitted my first essay of the year and my mind has mainly been focused on that - but tomorrow is my final interview over at the Walt Disney World headquarters in London! Luckily I live half an hour away from the HQ so it’s not much of a journey, but I can already feel the adrenaline bubble up! I bought a cute blazer to go with my dress and I’m gonna wedge my feet into my little shoes once again. Hopefully it’ll all go well!

Writing Your CV/Resume
Greetings dear adventurers and fanatics a-like! Happy Thursday - today we’re gonna be looking at how to make your CV/resume for your application! First step; go onto Google Docs and select the resume template. I find this template is perfect for showcasing what you’ve done - and it stands out from the crowd!
Your CV will cover everything from your name, to contact details, education, work experience and skills or volunteering. If you don’t have any work experience, you could put down any volunteering you have, or any one off waitressing jobs you’ve done.
Firstly, and most importantly, at the top of your CV write your name in big font. That way, your employers will know who they’re talking too. You don’t need to do this, but under my name, I wrote ‘CV for YummyJobs, Disney Cultural Exchange Program 2018′ which tells them that you’ve made this CV specifically for them!
I’ve worked in many jobs before, I’m a work-a-holic! So when it came to choose what I thought would be best I put down a variety. Number one) when I worked at Lush, a very heavy customer service role where communication is key! Number two) when I worked at a theme park in admissions, as that is one of the roles they offer and its something again very customer service orientated. And number three) when I worked at a very kid friendly environment as a cleaner.
You don’t need to have a lot of previous experience, nor do you need to have relevant experience, you just need to make the experience you had count!
As for education, you can put down the university you’re currently studying at and maybe what you did for your a-levels. In the volunteering section I also mentioned a lot of things I’ve done at my university, from flat-repping, to working with societies, and fundraising for charity!
Your CV is there to make yourself look good! So take advantage of it, and make it look good! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask away!

So exciting as everything is finally happening, getting a lot of emails asking me to send in my passport and proof of student status form. Now I officially have a date to count down too!
Until then, see you on Halloween Disney!

Pre-Screen Interview Outfit
As we have much to catch up on, I’ll be doing a new blog post every other day about specific things. Today I fancied doing something a little bit more fun, what I wore to my YummyJobs Pre-Screen Interview!
Tumblr media
Pictured above is the exact outfit I wore to my pre-screen interview.
The trousers I wore the year before and I got them from Primark. They reminded me of the chino styled trousers that Cast Members would wear in the Disney Store, so I thought they’d be perfect!
The top is also from Primark, and surprisingly enough it’s actual a dress. It was very simple yet very elegant, and different from the everyday black and white office attire.
Now, as for the shoes. I don’t have a picture of them, but they were simple tanned brown flat shoes with a brass chain decoration. I would say they were comfortable for what they were, but silly me bought them in a size too small, and instead of returning them, I decided to wear them... (Don’t worry, I swapped my shoes at the coffee shop and wore comfy shoes whilst travelling!)
I kept my hair and make-up very simple for the interview, using very neutral colours to coincide with the ‘Disney look’.
