The exception is cheesy local commercials. Those should be the only ads. I will listen to someone who runs a store in my city doing an awkward rap. We once had a furniture store with these awful CGI ads and the slogan "where the deals are so low, it's almost criminal!" and then they got shut down, by the cops, because it turned out. It turned out the deals were so low because. You're not going to believe this but the prices were so low it was in fact

The neurodivergent/neurotypical tumblr style dichotomy is, actually, pretty ableist imo. Bitches be acting like if you don't exhibit their specific autistic traits, you're neurotypical! Fuck off I'm also autistic.
Just because I can small talk doesn't mean I'm an evil oppressor (aka neurotypical). Just because my "more obviously autistic" brother's traits clash with mine and explode my brain with annoyance doesn't mean I'm not autistic. Just because I can eat pretty much any foods doesn't mean I don't have sensory issues. I complain about my brother and people crawl out from their hovels to tell me that "he sounds autistic from your description so you have to be nice to him because you, as a neurotypical, couldn't possibly understand why what he did was okay" on a post about how he almost pushed me off the balcony FOR THE SECOND TIME because he wasn't paying attention.
--
Some people need to learn that "It was an accident and happened because of my disability/mental illness/whatever" doesn't actually prevent consequences.

in a more beautiful and perfect world everyone on twitter would be drawing their favorite male characters in the sabrina carpenter album cover instead of yelling at each other about it

This website sometimes seems to think that leftism is when you can buy cheap things, and the cheaper they are, the more leftist it is. I really don't know how to explain the world to people like that.
#as a crafter whose been dabbling in selling things#this is so true#i made a new dice bag lately - my own original design#and i had someone very kindly say if i ever wanted to make more she would pay for one#and i dont know how to say if i ever sold these for a fair price it would be like. 200 dollars at minimum#bc it definitely took me over 10 hours for design/creation#and no one is willing to pay that#its even worse for crochet stuff. you cant even charge fair prices for crochet because people are selling crochet for dirt prices#and its like. no actually a handmade plush that took 5+ hours shouldnt be sold for 30 dollars#but no one will pay a fair price for it!

"Would you rather use the app? :)" I cannot begin to describe how much I wouldn't
#the fact if a restaurant uses yelp to manage their wait line#you cant see an estimated wait or position in line without the app#awful

Pizza Index strikes again.
Trump is trying to play this like he and his administration had no knowledge of Israel's attack on Iran, but the Index never lies.

One sad side effect of big box stores is that you just don’t get lifelong hyper fixation guy access like you used to.
Like yeah I can go to Menards and buy a door.
But it used to be I could go to the door store, and speak to a man whose sole passion in life was doors and who would talk about the history of door insulation patterns over the last 50 years without stopping to breathe.
That man is gonna find me the BEST door option for me.
Seriously my neighborhood had one of these. They were across the street from the lighting shop owned by the guy who could tell you the exact date, off the top of his head, that your property got electrical wiring based on your address.
Now these guys rarely get to own a shop, make a good living, and sell the very finest doors for decades. They’re relegated to Reddit posts which are informative but ultimately do not replace door guy having a door shop.
I don’t want to talk to some miserable, underpaid 20 year old who was in plumbing last week and in doors this week and doesn’t know a hammer from a hanger.
I want my door guy back.
