Its actually really hard to open a lock with lockpicking. So before you trying to open a lock with a bobbypin make sure that you understand the basics of lockpicking.
I highly recommend you try picking a lock with a normal lockpick set first. This lockpick set:
Is one of the more populair lockpick sets that I recommend. It might be an overkill if you are just starting yout. But if you are serious about it then this is the way to go.

So if you were wondering how a bumpkey looks:
As you can see all the grooves are just cut to the furthest position. So in theory you can make a bumpkey out of every key you have!
In practise its actually a little harder then it seems to make a good bumpkey. In order for a bumpkey to be effective the cuts have to be pretty smooth. The pins have to really be bumped up so its important that the cuts are smooth in order to launch those suckers up :-)

My first experiences with lockpicking
I remember the mystery of lockpicking. I first came in contact with lockpicking at a young age. I saw it in movies where the action hero could open any locks in seconds. It seemed like a magical power very similiar to the ability to fly for superman. However this seemed allot more possible. The curiousity for this superpower motivated me to take an interest in lockpicking. As I soon discovered lockpicking was allot harder then the movies made it look. But im glad that I continued my practises. Because with my persiverence I know am allot better at lockpicking then before. Not that I can open any lock within seconds. But now I know that when I lose my key I do not have to call a locksmith and I can even start a carreer in lockpicking if I ever decide to do so!
