Apologies
I hate to say this but I feel the need to let you guys know that I've hit a bit of writer's block when it comes to the Doctor Who requests I've received. I do want to write them I just can't seem to form the thoughts right to get them out. So for the time being I'm going to put a pause on Doctor Who. I'll keep the requests in my inbox but I'm not going to write them right now. Hopefully in the near future i will be able to right them but my brain isn't working right at this moment for it.

A jealousy fic for the 13th Doctor pls she barely gets any jealousy fics and I'm a sucker for them maybe with like her, reader and the fam going on an adventure where usually reader and the doctor always stay together but this time for some reason they separate and when the doctor finally finds the reader she sees reader with someone else and gets like pouty jealous 😭🫶🏼
A/n: Hello anon thank you so much for the request. I hope this lives up to your expectations, I’ve never written for 13 or jealous themes so I hope I did good. Anyways enjoy and as always remember to hydrate or diedrate.
Word count: 1636
Paring: 13th Doctor x Gender neutral Reader
Warnings: possibly ooc 13
It was an unspoken rule that if the Fam had to split up while trying to save the world, Y/n would always go with The Doctor. It wasn’t for any other reason than the fact that Y/n had been traveling with The Doctor the longest and so The Doctor trusted them more than anything, at least that’s the reason The Doctor gives when anyone asks her about it.
Unfortunately rules, even the unspoken ones, are meant to be broken, even if it’s by accident. While visiting a distant planet and accidentally landing in the middle of an alien invasion, the Fam was forced to split up with no warning. There was no time to form their usual groups and so The Doctor ended up with Ryan and Graham, while Y/n was with Yaz. The sudden split also prevented the group from forming a plan to deal with the aliens and so they had to trust that the others were also working to save the planet and get back to the Tardis in one piece.
At first The Doctor was fine being separated from Y/n, it was good for the two of them to spend time apart. But slowly she began to feel strange, almost like she was worried for Y/n’s safety but deep down she knew that wasn’t what she was feeling. Y/n was strong and smart and could handle themself better than most. Not to mention Y/n wasn’t alone they had Yaz with them. Yaz was also great under pressure and The Doctor knew that Yaz would never let anything happen to any of her fellow companions. But for some reason the thought of Yaz and Y/n alone together left a strange taste in The Doctor’s mouth, not that she’d admit that.
Luckily for everyone, it didn’t take long to figure out that the aliens who were invading were just looking for a new home and didn’t realize the planet they landed on was already inhabited. After a short meeting between the leaders of both species, overseen by The Doctor and co. it was peacefully agreed that the ‘invading’ aliens would be allowed to stay and that both groups would benefit from working together. Once it was clear that the new cohabitants of the planet would be fine, at least for the time being, the Fam made their way back to the Tardis.
The Doctor thought that since everyone was back together the strange feeling from before would go away. Afterall once she saw Y/n at the meeting on the planet’s surface, she felt like a weight was lifted from her shoulders. But for some reason, while shewatched Y/n and Yaz talk with Ryan and Graham about everything that happened while they were separated, The Doctor still felt that strange bitter feeling deep in her chest.
“Hey, Doctor, where are we off to now?” Yaz questioned startling the timelord out of her thoughts.
Quickly pushing the feeling out of her mind The Doctor smiled at her group of companions. “Everywhere.” She answered like she always does, earning a smile from everyone. Well, everyone except for Y/n.
After all, Y/n had been traveling with The Doctor for years and even if her face had changed, Y/n could still read the timelord's body language easily. They could tell something was off from the moment they reunited. The Doctor seemed tense or stressed by something. At first Y/n thought it was just because the group had split up suddenly and the two hearted alien was worried about her friends, but after settling things on the planet the tension never left The Doctor’s shoulders.
And now there was something off in the way The Doctor looked at Yaz as she answered the rookie police woman’s question. It wasn’t like she was mad, but more like she was over thinking something. Her voice was also missing the air of wonder and excitement it normally held as she pulled the lever on the console. Y/n knew something was up but they couldn’t quite place what was and they knew The Doctor wouldn’t talk about it in front of their friends. So, they waited.
The Tardis had made the decision that it was time for a stop back on earth. Having the opportunity to visit their friends and family Yaz, Ryan and Graham all left the Tardis for the day. With the Tardis being empty, Y/n took it as a chance to question The Doctor and her strange behavior.
“Are you okay?” Y/n asked the blonde as she fiddled with part of the console.
Not looking up from fixing whatever she thought was broken now, The Doctor nodded before answering. “I’m fine. Why do you ask?” She responded, her voice clearly hiding something from her closest companion.
Y/n rolled their eyes leaning on the console. “You know you really suck at lying sometimes.” They said earning a scoff from the alien. “You’ve been acting weird ever since we left that planet. So, I ask again, Doctor, are you okay?”
Sighing, The Doctor finally looked up from the console. “I told you already I’m fine. Brilliant actually. There’s nothing for you to worry about.”
Again, Y/n could tell The Doctor was just saying what she thought Y/n wanted to hear. The Doctor was never good at dealing with her emotions no matter which regeneration she was on. Figuring that since The Doctor wasn’t going to outright tell them the problem, Y/n began processing all the information they had on the situation.
“First you zoned out while the rest of us were catching up after being split up, which admittedly isn’t all that strange but you looked upset about whatever you were thinking about at the time. Then when Yaz asked you about where we were going next you sounded off, almost like you were upset.” Y/n began thinking out loud, knowing that either they would piece it together or The Doctor would just admit the problem before they could figure it out.
When The Doctor just kept silent, Y/n continued. “When we landed and Graham invited us to get lunch you looked like you were about to agree, but when Yaz said she was going, you declined the offer to stay here.” They said tilting their head confused, trying to piece it all together. “Oh, I think I figured it out.” Y/n said triumphantly.
It was The Doctor’s turn to be confused. “There is nothing to figure out. I’m fine.” She said trying to stop Y/n from voicing whatever their discovery was. Because while Y/n was talking, she too figured out what the strange feeling in her chest was and if it was said out loud that made it real, which scared her.
“Oh, but there is Doctor.” Y/n replied, pointing a finger at the timelord. “You are jealous of the fact that when we got split up I was with Yaz and not you. Ryan told me you were acting strange while we were separated but he assumed you were just worried. But the truth is you were Jealous.” Y/n said with a knowing smile on their face.
“Why would I be jealous? There’s no reason for me to be jealous, you and Yaz are just friends. And it was just how things played out that we got separated from each other.” The Doctor began to ramble defensively. “And I was worried about you both when we were separated.” She continued on.
Y/n moved to stand in front of The Doctor, placing both hands on her shoulders effectively silencing The Doctor’s rambling and pulling her attention to them. “I know you were worried about us, but I also know that you were worried about something more. And I’m telling you that there is nothing going on between me and Yaz. Like you said, we are just friends and you don’t need to worry at all.” Y/n said moving one hand to the Doctor’s cheek. “Plus we both know there is not a single soul in all of time and space that could mean more to me than you.” Y/n said resting their forehead on the Doctor’s.
The Doctor was frozen for a second. Sure it wasn’t news to her that Y/n felt that way about her. Afterall that was discussed during the early days of her previous regeneration. Y/n was determined never to leave the Doctor’s side no matter what. “I know, but what if you do find someone else and want to stop traveling with me?” The Doctor finally let the worry seep into her voice.
Y/n pulled back, but only slightly. “I won’t. I told you that when you went from being a lanky guy who wore a bowtie to an angry old Scottish man. There is nothing that could make me want to leave you no matter what face you take or what companions join our travels.” They answered, hoping the Doctor believed them.
“Ok.” The Doctor answered leaning into Y/n’s hand still on her cheek. “But next time we get split up make sure to stay with me.” The Doctor said pulling away and going back to fiddling with the console as the Tardis doors opened to reveal the three other companions.
Y/n couldn’t help but chuckle at how quickly The Doctor can go from showing her deepest emotions to being her usual happy and cheerful self. “I’ll always be with you, Doctor” Y/n answered. This wasn’t the first time they had had this conversation with The Doctor, and it wouldn’t be the last, but Y/n was happy to remind The Doctor that no matter what they weren’t going anywhere.

are you still taking request for doctor who?
Yes, currently for 10 and 11 but I'm also toying with the idea of adding 13 since I just got to her episodes. It might take a while to get it written because my life is really hectic, but I will do my best to answer any requests quickly.

Soulmates? Soulmates. Part 10
Word Count: 2450
Summary: After Soren and Claudia’s arrival at the Moon Nexus, a few secrets are revealed
Warnings: Canon typical violence, canon divergence, possibly ooc Soren
A/n: Hello everyone, long time no see. Anyways sorry for the long break in chapters, life happened and I followed the dopamine, but I’m back with part ten. Make sure to thank the anon who reminded me that this exists because without them it probably would have been another few months before I posted this. No without further ado, I hope you enjoy and as always remember to hydrate or diedrate.
Part 1 - Series Masterlist
After a restless night of sleep, I went out to the picnic table to find everyone gathered around while Claudia served what looked to be pancakes. As I sat down next to Callum, I didn’t miss the glance Soren had sent in my direction. It was clear he wanted to talk to me but for some reason he seemed hesitant. Brushing off the thought, I turned my attention to the food Claudia had presented to everyone.
“Mmm. I have to admit these are good.” Rayla said, taking a bite out of the pancakes. I have to admit I was surprised to see her eating anything offered by the siblings who tried to kill her the previous night.
“Impossibly fluffy, right?” Claudia asked in return, again it was shocking how well they were pretending to not want to kill each other.
As everyone continued eating, Ellis spoke up. “How do you get them so light?” She was curious about the dark mage’s secrets.
Claudia smiled before explaining. “The secret is separating the eggs, and beating the whites into a stiff meringue. And just a hint of Dark Magic.” After she finished her explanation, everyone but Soren pushed their plates away. It was one thing to use dark magic, but to use it for cooking is just disturbing.
“So now that we know you're not kidnapped, you guys should come back home. With the egg, of course.” Claudia said, leaning close to Callum as she said it.
After a brief exchange about how the egg had hatched and our group agreeing that we can’t return to Katolis until we get Zym back to his mother, I felt Soren glancing at me again.
“You all do need to come home because the king, your dad, really misses you.” It took me a moment to process what Soren had said, but when I did I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.
I understand he was told to bring the princes back to Katolis, but to lie about our father being alive is way too far. I can’t believe you would lie like that. I said through our connection. I glanced around the table quickly, as expected my brothers looked conflicted about whether to return home or not, Rayla looked just as appalled as I felt, and surprisingly Claudia was also trying to hide a look of shock at Soren’s comment.
“I’m going for a walk.” I said breaking the slight uncomfortable silence that had fallen over the group. Not waiting for a response, I stood up and walked into the woods.
As I walked, I focused on the sounds of the wind blowing through the trees and the little animals running around in the grass. It was relaxing and helped me gather my thoughts. I know that the best way to ensure that Callum and Ezran do continue on the mission to Xadia is to tell them that Soren was lying. But how do you tell your brothers that their dad is dead and that you’ve been hiding it for a week.
After some time alone, I decided to head back towards the nexus. It struck me as odd that Soren hadn’t tried to reach out since I left earlier, but I figured he was trying to give me space. When I reached the common area, I noticed Rayla sitting alone.
“Hey, Rayla. Have you seen Callum and Ez?” I asked as I sat down next to her.
She looked up for a second before looking back out over the trees. “Callum’s on a walk with Claudia, and Ezran is trying to teach Zym to fly with the help of your muscle-brained friend.” She said, I could sense the distrust when she mentioned the newest members of the group. “By the way, keep an eye on Soren.” Rayla said, glancing my way.
“What do you mean? What did he do?” I asked, not hiding my concern.
“I went to see what he and Ezran were doing and found him sending the young prince down a rope over a ravine.” She explained, it didn’t sound that bad, just one of Soren’s childish ideas. “And the peg holding the rope to a tree was extremely loose. When I suggested he followed Ez down, he nervously hammered the peg in place. It seemed he was worried that it would give out.”
When she finished her explanation, I was baffled. There was no way that Soren was trying to hurt Ezran in any way, but then again it had felt like he had been hiding something for the past couple days. What if Viren told him to do something and he didn’t want to believe it.
“Hello, Y/n, are you still there?” I was snapped out of my thoughts by Rayla waving a hand in front of my face.
Shaking off the dazed feeling I nodded. “Yeah, still here. Sorry, I’ll be sure to talk to Soren and make sure he isn’t planning anything stupid. Not that I don’t believe you Rayla, I just need to talk to him about it.” I said, hoping she understood that I wasn’t doubting her. She nodded in understanding.
A calm silence fell over us as we watched the clouds pass over the sky. First, I have to find out why Soren would try to hurt Ezran, and then I have to tell my brothers the truth about my dad. It was a lot to process.
Hey Soren, can we talk? I asked, reaching out through our connection. And I don’t mean this way. Like face to face. I added before he could ask what I wanted to talk about.
It was barely a second later when he responded. Yeah, of course. Where do you want to talk? Also I still have to give you your necklace remember? He asked not hesitating to agree.
I thought for a second, there weren’t many places around to have a private conversation, so I settled on going for a walk. Meet me by the picnic table and we can go on a walk. I said, knowing that he would agree.
“I’m going to go talk with Soren and try to sort this stuff out.” I said to Rayla as I stood up. She looked at me skeptically but nodded and said a quick bye.
When I got to the picnic table I was greeted by the sight of Soren looking anxious. It was clear to me that even though he had a tendency to be clueless, he had likely figured out what I wanted to talk about.
“Let’s go, we can talk once we get a little bit away from here.” I said, getting Soren’s attention and nodding in the direction of the trees. He just nodded and followed after me.
As we walked a tense silence fell over us, as neither of us knew how to break the silence. It had been only a week since we found out we are soulmates and even though we spoke regularly through our connection it felt odd to be so close to each other.
Taking a deep breath and settling my thoughts I finally decided to speak up. “Look, Soren.” I started but was cut off by him holding something in front of my face.
“Before you get mad at me, let me give you this back. I know it won’t change that you are upset about something, but I want to do one nice thing before our first fight as soulmates.” Soren stated with a sad smile, as I realized he was holding up my necklace that he had been holding onto for me.
Reaching out I gently took the necklace into my hand. “Thank you, Soren. I appreciate you giving it back to me.” I said, inspecting the necklace and noting that the chain needed to be fixed after being broken by the arrow that tore it from my neck. “And you’re right this doesn't change the fact that I’m upset.” I continued putting the necklace into one of my pockets.
“You’re welcome. Now what did you want to talk about?” Soren asked. He tried to hide his nerves with his usual bright smile but I could easily see through it. I knew he was scared of the conversation we were about to have.
“Why did Rayla tell me you tried to kill Ezran?” I asked bluntly. There was no use beating around the bush and being vague would only lead to confusion on Soren’s part. “And don’t try to lie about it. You knew that rope wasn’t going to hold which is why you secured the peg before you trusted it with your own life.” I explained what I knew.
Soren was quiet for a moment, like he was debating what he was going to say. After a few seconds he finally responded. “My dad gave me a secret mission when he sent us out here to get you and the princes. He told me I couldn’t tell anyone and that it was important that I make the right choice. But I don’t think the choice he wants me to make is the right one.” Soren rambled, not clearly stating what he meant but I could tell he was trying to get it out there.
“Soren what did Viren tell you to do? What do you mean you don’t know if the choice he wants you to make is the right one?” I asked, getting anxious from the vague nature of his words.
There was another moment of silence before Soren turned to look away from me. “He told me I had to return with the news that the princes had died.” He stated quietly like he didn’t want to believe it himself.
I stood frozen at the news. It wasn’t a surprise to me that Viren would want my brothers dead so he could seize power. No, what surprised me is that he would ask his own son to get his hands dirty in such a horrid way.
“I don’t think I can do it Y/n. I don’t think I can hurt them. He said that accidents happen all the time in the wild and no one would blame me for it. But I would have to live with that knowledge and I don’t think I could.” Soren continued. I could hear a slight tremor in his voice as he spoke. It was clear as day that he was conflicted about listening to his father or following his morals. “I don’t want to hurt anyone, but he’s my dad and I have to listen to him right?” He finished turning back to me, looking just as confused and hurt as he sounded.
Shaking off the hurt and confusion I felt, I stepped closer to Soren. “Just because he’s your dad doesn't mean you have to listen to him. Especially if what he is telling you to do goes against what your heart is telling you to do.” I said resting my hand on his chest over his heart. “Don’t misunderstand, I am still upset that you tried to hurt Ezran and that you didn’t tell me sooner about Viren’s plan. But I know it’s hard for you to separate what your family wants from what you want.” I said trying to offer some comfort but still making it clear that what he did was not okay.
He nodded, but stayed silent letting me continue. “I’m also upset that you lied to my brothers about our dad. I know it’s partially on me for not telling them he’s gone sooner but if you care for them in any way you never should have lied to them like that.” I said voicing the other things that Soren had done recently that upset me.
“You’re right and I’m sorry.” Soren responded. “It was the only way I could think of to get you to come back to Katolis willingly.” As soon as the words left his mouth I felt unsettled again.
“What do you mean ‘willingly’, Soren? What are you and Cladiua planning?” I asked not liking where I thought this may be going.
Soren froze like he had been caught doing something he wasn’t supposed to. “N-nothing. That’s not what I meant. I just meant that it was the only way I thought I could convince your brothers to come back to Katolis in general.” He stammered trying to cover his tracks.
As much as I wanted to trust that he was telling me the truth, I couldn’t. He had just told me that his dad told him to kill my brothers and now he’s saying he wasn’t implying that he and Claudia were planning on kidnapping them to take them back to Katolis. “No, don’t start lying to me again Soren. You just told me about Viren wanting you to kill my brothers, you can’t start trying to hide that you and Caludia were sent to bring my brothers back to Katolis.” I started, not hiding the fact that I was even more upset now than I was before. “So what’s your next plan Soren? Are you going to tie them up and drag them back to Katolis like prisoners?” I wanted to know how far he would go to appease his father even the slightest amount.
“No actually. Claudia is going to tell Callum the truth and hope he agrees to come with us after finding out that you and the Elf lied to him.” Soren said matter-of-factly, before his eyes went wide realizing he wasn’t supposed to say that.
I stood shocked for a second, before quickly gathering my thoughts. “That was your plan. Agree to go for a walk with me while your sister tries to turn my younger brother against me by telling him that I’ve been lying to him. I should have known. Why else would you tell me about Viren’s plan for my brothers and talk about how much it’s conflicting you.” I said, realizing that he tricked me.
Knowing that this was part of their plan to get to my brothers, I turned back towards the cabins our group had been staying in. I had to hope that it wasn't too late and that I could tell Callum the truth before Claudia had a chance.
“Wait, Y/n. Where are you going?” Soren called after me as I stormed through the trees.
Not glancing back I summoned some roots to tie around Soren’s legs. “I’m going to hopefully keep what’s left of my family intact. And don’t worry about those roots, they’ll release you in a couple hours.” I said smiling to myself knowing that he hadn’t brought his sword with him on our walk.

i hate how you get desensitized to the cool stuff in your WIP if you've been writing it for a long time so when you read back over it you're like "this isn't as cool as i thought :(" but it still is! you just read it too many times

Alright it's time woo. I'm adding Eleven to who I will write for and asking for some ideas. Mind you i have only seen up to when the Amy and Rory leave so I know nothing about anything after that point right now. But still feel free to send some Eleven or Ten requests my way.
Send requests for the Tenth doctor.
I fell back into the doctor who rabbit hole and would love to write for it again. Right now I'm just wanting requests for ten but once I get to eleven in my rewatch I'll update this post.

The Princess Lost To Time
Word count: 4141
Paring: Tenth Doctor x fem!Reader
A/n: Thank you so much for the request. It felt amazing to write for The Doctor again. Anyways, I tried to make it as accurate to medieval times as I could but there are probably some mistakes. Either way I hope you enjoy and as always remember to hydrate or diedrate.
The Doctor had a habit of letting the Tardis pick their destination and just enjoying the adventure. This time it seems that the Tardis had landed somewhere in 14th century England.
Looking around, The Doctor took in all the information around him trying to piece together exactly what year they had landed in. Meanwhile his companion, Donna Noble was looking around in awe. Sure she had been traveling with The Doctor for months at this point, but each new location, whether it was a different planet or just a different point in earth’s history, took her breath away.
“I’ve got it!” The Doctor shouted once he figured out what year it was. “1358 England. The middle of the Hundred Years War between England and France.” The Doctor explained to his companion.
After establishing when they were, the duo began walking through the market. Admiring the simplicities of the middle ages.
“Humans are amazing. It’s only been a few years since the black death swept the world and look at them already back to living like it was just a nightmare.” The Doctor said, always amazed by the resilience of the human race.
“You brought me to England only a few years after the end of the Black Plague? Are you mad? What if we catch it?” Donna asked, sounding more than a little upset by the risk of catching one of the deadliest plagues the world has seen.
The Doctor just rolled his eyes. “Oh don’t worry about it. Like I said it’s been years since the outbreak ended. You’ll be fine.” He said turning away from the ginger. “Anyways, what’s going on over there?” The Doctor didn’t wait for a response from his companion, instead he rushed off in the direction of a large crowd lining the street.
Arriving at the gathering of people The Doctor tried pushing through the crowd to see what everyone was looking at. When he couldn’t get to the front or see over the heads of the peasants he turned to an older gentleman who also seemed to be trying to get a look.
“Excuse me sir, but what is going on here?” The Doctor asked, curious about what event he may have landed in the middle of.
The man gave The Doctor a strange look after seeing his clothes, but still responded. “Why, Princess Y/n is set to arrive in town any minute now. She’s stopping through here on journey back to London after studying up north.” The man explained.
Just as the man finished Donna stopped next to The Doctor slightly out of breath. “Why is it always running with you?” She asked, not having heard any of the previous conversation.
The Doctor failed to acknowledge his companion, instead he was busy trying to figure out why this ‘Princess Y/n’ sounded familiar. It was like something big happened revolving around her but he couldn’t quite remember what it was.
His thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of horses and a carriage coming up the road. “She’s here. Princess Y/n has blessed our peaceful little town.” A woman shouted, drawing everyone’s attention to the carriage, each one hoping to get a glimpse of the crowned princess of their beloved kingdom.
“Did she just say Princess Y/n?” Donna asked The Doctor.
The Doctor nodded, before picking up on Donna’s confused tone. “Yes, Princess Y/n is stopping in this small town on her way back to London after spending the last few years studying in Northern England.” The Doctor explained. As he spoke, The Doctor seemed to realize something. “That’s why she sounds familiar!” He shouted, startling a few of the peasants who stood near him and Donna. “Sorry, don’t mind us. Donna, come on.” He said, grabbing her hand and pulling her back in the direction of the Tardis.
“Oy, Care to tell me why you dragged me back here Spaceman?” Donna asked confused as to why The Doctor seemed to suddenly be in more of a rush than usual.
Moving to the screen on the Tardis’ console The Doctor pulled up pictures of some extremely old looking new papers. “In 1358 The Crowned Princess Y/n, goes missing on her journey back to London after a few years of studying. Officially the Royal family blamed the War with France for her disappearance. But unofficially no one actually knows what happened to her.” The Doctor explained to Donna as they looked at the records.
“So what, you think she was taken by aliens or something?” Donna asked.
The Doctor paused for a second. “Well it’s possible but there’s no record of anything else weird happening around the time of her disappearance. So either she really was just a political victim or aliens were involved and it was forgotten by history. What do you say? Should we find out what happens to the lost princess?” The Doctor asks.
Donna just sighed. “I don’t really have a choice now do I?” She asked, sarcasm lacing her voice. Seeing the gleam in The Doctor’s eyes at the possibility of solving one of Britain’s oldest mysteries, Donna could help but smile at her best friend. “Fine, let's go.”
With that the duo once again departed from the Tardis and began looking for clues on what happened to the ill-fated Princess.
After coming up empty handed on the first day of their search, The Doctor decided he should try and find out if anything had happened prior to the Princess arriving in the small town. To do this he needed to talk with either the Princess’s guards or the Princess herself.
The easiest choice was probably her guards since it was unlikely that they would even let a strange man anywhere near their princess alone. So on the second day The Doctor approached a few of the guards who were prepping the carriage for the rest of the journey back to London.
“Excuse me sirs, I just have a few quick questions.” He said drawing their attention. “I’ve been hearing reports of strange things happening on the roads leading to this town. Did either of you happen to see anything on your journey here?” The Doctor asked, hoping they would just answer and not question him in return.
The guards shared a puzzled look before one of them spoke up. “We’ve heard no such reports or rumors. The strangest thing we’ve seen is you in your strange clothes.” He said matter-of-factly.
“Now if you excuse us we have to prepare for the rest of our journey.” The second guard spoke moving to check that nothing on the carriage was damaged.
Knowing that if the Princess left the small town that afternoon, then he would never know what happened to her, The Doctor tried to think of a way to stall the departure. Almost as if on queue a young man came rushing towards the guards holding a scroll and looking out of breath.
“There’s a storm a few miles outside of town. It’s washed away the roads and is moving this way. It would be unsafe to take the Princess into the storm.” The first guard read from the scroll he was handed.
Letting out a silent sigh of relief, The Doctor began trying to think of a way to speak directly to the Princess. She was the last hope of figuring out what was going to happen to her in the next few days.
P.o.V Change
Y/n had been stuck in the Inn for the last three days since arriving. With the sudden storm that was now dropping buckets of water over the area, her guards deemed it unsafe to travel until the storm passed. That was two days ago and the guards wouldn’t even let her leave her room without one of them close behind her.
“I will be fine. It’s a small town, if someone wished harm on me they would have tried something by now. I’m going for a walk alone and that’s finale.” The princess declared as she began making her way out of the inn.
The guards moved to follow her but as she shot them a glare, they stood down. The princess was not someone they wanted to anger.
Once Y/n was free of the guards, she began slowly walking through the town. Greeting and chatting with the locals, who were shocked at how polite the princess truly was compared to the stories of royalty they had heard. And even though most of the townspeople seemed completely normal, there were two people who seemed out of place and also kept popping up in Y/n’s field of vision.
Having figured out the strange pair were in fact following her, Y/n decided to confront them. Turning down a seemingly empty street, the princess waited for her pursuers to join her away from prying eyes.
“Is there a reason you have been following me?” Y/n asked, turning to look at the pair of strangely dressed people who had been following her. When she was finally standing face to face with the strangers, she took the chance to truly inspect the duo.
They both seemed to be wearing clothes that clearly did not belong in a 14th century town. The woman wasn’t wearing a dress but was instead wearing a bright colored shirt and pants. And the man was wearing a brown pinstripe suit, and even though she thought it was strange Y/n couldn’t help but admit that he did look attractive with his short messy hair.
“Well… we were just hoping to meet the lovely Princess Y/n.” The woman spoke, pulling Y/n out of her thoughts.
Snapping her eyes away from the man, Y/n focused on the ginger. “And who might you be?” She asked, curious as to who exactly they were. “Assasians from France?” She continued, assuming this had something to do with her father’s war on the country across the water.
The man spoke next. “Oh no of course not. I’m the Doctor and this is Donna, my companion.” He explained offering his hand for the princess to shake only to pull it back when she looked at him skeptically. “Right, um, we were actually following you because we’ve been hearing rumors of strange things happening on the roads leading to this town. And we wanted to know if you had heard or seen anything on your journey here?” The Doctor asked.
“Well Doctor… I will have you know the only strange thing I have encountered in my travels is you and your companion.” Y/n answered skeptically. “What do these rumors have to do with me?” She asked.
“Oh nothing, we have just been checking with any travelers who stop here to see if they have any answers for us before we go out and investigate for ourselves.” The Doctor answered.
Y/n could tell the two were hiding something but couldn’t figure out what it was exactly. “Well, then I wish you both luck on your investigation. If you don’t mind I’ll be off now.” She said parting from the duo.
As she made her way back to the Inn, Y/n couldn’t shake the feeling that something important had just happened and that more was to come. Y/n also couldn’t seem to get the image of the man who calls himself the Doctor out of her head.
P.o.V Change
After parting from the princess, The Doctor led Donna back to the Tardis. He needed to figure out what was going to happen here in the next few days. If Y/n’s impending disappearance was because of something extraterrestrial, he needed to know.
“What are you going to do if you can’t figure out what happens to her?” Donna asked, looking over the console.
The Doctor kept pressing buttons looking at his screen. “I don’t know, but something is telling me that Y/n is important and we have to figure out what is going to happen here in the next few days.” He answered not once glancing at his companion.
An hour or so later The Doctor groaned as he came up empty handed once again in his search for answers. “I’m going back out there.” He said, grabbing his coat and moving to the doors of the Tardis.
“It’s pouring down rain again. What do you think you are going to find?” Donna asked.
The Doctor paused for only a few seconds before responding. “I don’t know, but I just need to do this. I’ll be back soon.” He said, sparing only a quick glance at his best friend before heading off.
Time skip
It had now been almost a week since the Tardis had brought The Doctor and Donna to the 14th century and they were no closer to finding out what caused the princess to disappear. That’s not to say nothing good has come out of their stay in the small medieval town.
The Doctor had surprisingly formed a close friendship with the princess. When he had gone out in the pouring rain, he ran into the princess again. It seems that instead of actually going back to the inn she had gone to sit at a small pond on the edge of the village. The two of them sat and spoke for over an hour in the rain. They simply got to know each other.
Y/n spoke about her experience growing up as the crowned princess of a great kingdom and how she traveled north to study. She spoke about wanting to do something more than run a country when her father passes. She didn’t want to spend her life waiting for her dad to die before she could fulfill a role forced on her by tradition.
The Doctor intern spoke about his long life. At first he tried to keep it vague. Saying things like he had lost his home and family when he was young and how he now travels helping people. He mentioned how he had traveled with close friends and how eventually all of them had to leave at some point.
That’s how their first meeting at the pond went. And in the days to follow they would both end up at the same pond, talking and getting to know each other on a deeper level. Over time they both began to share more details about their lives. Y/n shared how she feared that if she didn’t find love soon then her father would force her into an arranged marriage and she did not want to spend her life tied to someone she didn’t love. The Doctor, against his better judgement, revealed that he wasn’t just a man traveling the world but really an alien traveling all of time and space.
Their talks moved from stories about themselves and their dreams, to stories of worlds Y/n could only imagine. Slowly the Princess found herself falling in love with The Doctor’s world and unsurprisingly with The Doctor himself. Little did she know The Doctor was facing the same dilemma. He knew that he was falling for her but he also knew that her disappearing was a fixed point in history and he couldn’t stop it, it was her fate to disappear after this storm passes and then he will never see her again.
Time skip
Eventually the rain stopped and the roads out of town dried enough to safely pass. It was time for Y/n to leave the small town and disappear from the rest of history. The Doctor stood in the Tardis preparing it to leave, completely unaware of the gears turning in his companions head.
Donna had figured it out after their third day in the small town. After the Doctor returned from his second meeting with the princess, she couldn’t help but notice the soft smile that rested on his face. She could hear the care that laced his voice when spoke of her. It wasn’t the same as when he talked about his past companions or when he talked about saving the Ood. This was something deeper. And seeing the solemn look on The Doctor’s face as he prepared to leave for a new adventure, Donna was certain she knew what was happening.
“For someone who says they see all possible events playing out at all times, you really are blind, aren’t you?” She asked, breaking the silence in the Tardis.
The Doctor jumped, forgetting Donna was still in the main room of the Tardis. “What do you mean?” He asked, not understanding what she meant.
Donna rolled her eyes, moving to stand next to The Doctor. “When we first got here you said you have no idea how or why Y/n disappears.” She began to explain. The Doctor nodded but let Donna continue. “Well, you also didn’t know that you were what caused Pompeii to happen so I guess you not seeing this outcome makes sense. Anyways, It’s you. Princess Y/n of England goes missing because she meets and falls in love with a time traveling alien.” She finished explaining, hoping she didn’t have to spell it out any more for the sometimes dense Timelord.
The Doctor’s eyes widened. He began connecting the same dots Donna had. Most of the time he could see all possible outcomes of the events happening in front of him. The only exceptions were during major moments in his life, such as when he is about to regenerate or when he has to make a decision that can change the entire course of history. With Donna pointing that out to him again, it all made sense.
Without another word, The Doctor ran out of the Tardis. He heard the faint shout of ‘you’re welcome’ coming from Donna as the door closed but he had more important things to worry about. He had to make it to the inn before Y/n left for London.
When he arrived he was greeted by two guards looking around frantically. “Where is she?” He asked, catching the attention of the guards for only a second before they went back to their own search. “Where is Y/n?” He said more directly, grabbing one of the guards to stop him from moving.
“We were going to tell her that her carriage is ready to leave, but when we got here she was gone.” The guard answered.
The Doctor felt his hearts racing, what if Donna was wrong and Y/n did go missing because of an outside force they couldn’t predict.
Before he could ask anymore questions, a maid of the inn walked up to the three clearly distressed men. “The princess said she was going for a walk. She also mentioned that she would not be leaving town until she spoke with someone called ‘The Doctor’.” The maid informed them.
Hearing this news, The Doctor knew exactly where Y/n had gone. Without missing a beat he bolted from the Inn and ran towards the little pond that had hsi safe haven for the last week.
As expected when he reached the pond, there Y/n was sitting in the grass watching the water ripple as a gentle wind brushed the surface. The Doctor paused for a moment to take in the sight, glad that he had figured it all out, glad that Y/n had been determined to wait for him, glad that he would finally get a chance to love again after all that has happened in his long life.
Sensing that someone was standing behind her, Y/n turned around. Seeing that it was in fact the man she was waiting for, a soft smile spread across her face. Though it fell only seconds later as if she remembered something terrible. The Doctor took this as his sign to approach, sitting next to her on the bank of the pond.
“Do you want to know the truth of why me and Donna were following you the day we met?” The Doctor started, glancing at Y/n and continuing to speak when he saw the small nod she gave him. “It’s because in the future you are known as The Lost Princess. At some point on your journey back to London, you go missing. The official statement was that French spies sought to sew panic by taking out a member of the royal family.” He explained.
He saw the slight panic that began to settle over Y/n’s face hearing that she was to be a victim of the war her father started. “But unofficially no one actually knows what happens to you. When your guards return to London without you, no one believes that you just vanished and so your father makes up a story to gain favor.” He continued, seeing the worry ease from her face.
“But then how do I disappear? If it’s not the French and my guards don’t know the truth either, what happens to me?” Y/n asked, still confused.
The Doctor sighed and relaxed his shoulders before gently taking Y/n’s hand in his. “That’s why I was following you. I wanted to find out what really happened. I was drawn to the mystery and I wanted to know what could have possibly happened but up until ten minutes ago I had no idea.” He explained, giving Y/n’s hand a quick squeeze. He wasn’t sure if it was to comfort her or himself but it felt natural in that moment and Y/n didn’t pull away so continued. “You see, I can see every possibility happen all the time. I can see every possible outcome before it happens and plan how to achieve the one I want. But there are a few things I can’t see and can’t change. Mainly things that have a direct in pact on the course of my life.” The Doctor explained how he saw the world in as simple terms as he could.
“It took Donna figuring it out for me to find the answer.” He said, noticing the confusion still on Y/n’s face. “The reason I couldn’t see how or why you disappear is because it has to do with me. I’m the reason you go missing from history.” The Doctor finished hoping she would understand.
Y/n sat there for a moment trying to piece together what he was saying. She knew he didn’t mean that he hurt her in some way, after all she knew he hated violence and only used it as a last resort. So how could this gentle and loving man be the reason she goes missing. And then it hit her. “Is this you asking me to run away with you in your spaceship, Doctor?” She asked looking up at him, hoping that her guess was right and she hadn’t misinterpreted the connection she felt with The Doctor.
The Doctor could stop the smile that took over his face. “This is me asking you to come with me, yes. Y/n, I may have only known you for a week but you have managed to find a way into both of my hearts and if I lost you I don’t know if they would keep beating.” The Doctor said, looking into Y/n’s eyes with all the love he had for her. “Would you be so kind as to join me on an adventure across time and space?” He asked with a bright smile.
Y/n couldn’t hide her own smile at The Doctor’s words. “Of course, I’ll join you. It would be a tragedy to let such an amazing person who managed to steal my heart in only a few days go.” She answered, moving to stand up not letting go of The Doctor’s hand. “Now let’s get to this spaceship of yours before my guards come looking for me.” She said with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
The Doctor nodded as he stood up. Sure he knew that Y/n was only human and like every human she would eventually grow old and leave him. But just this once he wanted to forget that and just enjoy living in the moment and loving those closest to him.
So, entering the Tardis he smiled as he watched the wonder that crossed Y/n’s face at the magic that was Timelord science. He rolled his eyes playfully as Donna joked about having to teach another person about how to act like a normal human in the 21st century. But most of all The Doctor realized as the Tardis took off for another adventure, that there is nothing he would change about his past, after all it led him to this moment. Traveling with his best friend of all time and the woman who stole his hearts, what more could he ever need.

Matching Wolf Tails
Word Count: 2683
Paring: Sokka x Transmasc Reader
Summary: After joining Team Avatar and finally being able to express their gender the way they want to, Y/n looks to their loving partner for inspiration.
A/n: Hello everyone. I came up with this Idea the other day because I have been jokingly calling my own hair a Warrior’s Wolf Tail for the last six or so years and thought it was a cute idea. I tried to right it so anyone can read it but it is implied that the reader starts with long hair and ends with extremely short hair. That’s the only visual description of them I really give so don’t worry though. Anyways, enjoy and as always remember to hydrate or diedrate.
While out hanging up posters to try and find Appa, our group split up to cover more ground. Sokka and Toph stuck together because Toph couldn’t hang fliers on her own for obvious reasons. Aang took to the skies with his glider dropping small fliers. And Katara and I walked together so we could just chat.
“What about something like that?” Katara suggested, pointing at a man with chin length hair.
At some point in our conversation, I brought up wanting to finally cut off my long hair for a more masculine appearance. And now Katara was trying to help me pick what style to go for.
Glancing at the man, quickly before turning back to hanging the poster I had, I shook my head. “No, that’s too long. I want to do something short that won’t give people the impression that I’m just a girl with shorter hair.” I said quietly. I had thought about cutting my hair for so long, and now that I was ready to do it, I knew that it had to be perfect. It couldn’t just be some regular old hair cut, it needed to show people who I was. It needed to fit on the image of myself I imagined every time I closed my eyes when I was kid.
Katara nodded, continuing to look around. She had become so focused on finding me a new hairstyle that she stopped helping hang the missing posters. “Ok, what about that?” She said again pointing at another man.
This one was younger with much shorter hair. It seemed like he had shaved his head maybe a few months ago and just had about an inch or two of hair on his head. “That’s way too short.” I said, tucking the last couple posters under my arm. “I know it sounds like I’m being difficult, but I just know that whatever choice I make has to be perfect. Sure my hair will grow back and I can cut it again, but I want to finally look in the mirror and see the person I have wanted to be for years. And getting this first big hair cut is a major step so I have to pick the right style.” I said hoping she would understand to some degree.
She was quiet for a moment, before she smiled at me. “Well then we will just have to keep looking. I’m sure someone in this city has a hairstyle that you can get inspiration from.” She exclaimed, sounding confident in her statement.
“Well, that can wait, we should probably head back home. I’m sure everyone else is done by now.” I said, heading in the direction of our temporary house.
The walk home was filled with mindless chatter. Every now and then Katara would point out another person’s hair only for me to shake my head ‘no’ and give a simple explanation as to why it was wrong. In the last half hour she had pointed out over a dozen different hair cuts, and none of them were right for me. I could tell she was feeling exasperated but was trying to hide it. I truly did appreciate her enthusiasm to try and help but I knew it would take time for me to make up my mind. Or at least I thought it would.
“Hey guys, we’re home.” Katara announced as we walked in the front door.
We were greeted by a chorus of hey’s from the group as the three laid on the floor looking exhausted. “So I take it no luck so far for any of you then, either?” I asked as I sat down on the floor next to where Sokka was laying.
“Nope.” Sokka said, as he moved to sit up. “What took you guys so long anyways? You had way less posters than us and we still made it back first.” He asked.
I watched as Katara was about to speak, before I cut her off. “We stopped for tea on the way back.” I said quickly, sending a glance in Toph’s direction hoping she wouldn’t tell everyone I was lying. Luckily for me she stayed silent still laying on the floor, it didn’t even seem like she was paying attention to the conversation.
Katara glanced at me confused. I returned it with a silent plea hoping she would understand that I wanted our earlier conversation to stay between us for now. It’s not that the rest of the group didn’t know I was Trans. In fact they’ve all known from the beginning, it’s one of the main reasons I left my home to travel with them after all. Instead it’s because I didn’t want to deal with everyone trying to influence my choice of hair cut. I wanted the decision to be mine and mine alone and having Katara already aware was more than enough interference as it was.
Luckily Katara seemed to accept my silent request before turning back to her brother. “Yeah, we got thirsty and needed to take a small break. Anyways, did any of you guys get anything for dinner?” She asked shifting the attention back on to the rest of the group.
“I didn’t. I just came back here with Momo after finishing dropping all our flyers.” Aang said as he pet the small lymer. Sokka also shook his head, I had to hold back a laugh as his wolf tail smacked the side of his head from the force, indicating that he and Toph also neglected to pick up any food. “Ooo I know me and Sokka can go out and get groceries and you guys can make dinner.” Aang said, jumping up, earning a groan from Sokka.
Sokka moved to lean his head on my shoulder as he tried to think of a valid reason to not be dragged out shopping with the young avatar. As his hair brushed my neck, I completely stopped listening to the rest of the group. I wasn’t surprised by the action since we both like to lean on the other when we’re tired. What I was surprised by was the realization that struck me when I began to think about his hair.
I had always loved Sokka’s hair. His signature ‘Warrior’s Wolf Tail’ was always perfectly tied back. And on the rare occasion his hair was down, it was clear that it wasn’t too long or too short. It was easy for him to maintain and it looked great on him. I began to wonder what I would look like with a similar style.
After what felt like hours of picturing myself standing next to Sokka with matching wolf tails, I was gently pulled from my thoughts. “Fine, I’ll go. But when we get back I’m eating and then going straight to bed.” Sokka said, moving his head off my shoulder before standing up. “See you guys in a bit.” I watched as he and Aang headed out of the house, though my focus was entirely on Sokka’s hair.
“So why did it really take you guys so long to get back?” Toph asked almost immediately after the door closed. Clearly she was fine keeping the secret from Sokka and Aang but she wanted in on the drama.
I was startled by the sudden question but before I could respond to the earthbender, Katara beat me to it. “Y/n wants to cut their hair to look more masculine and I was trying to help them pick what style to go with.” She explained.
Toph’s shoulders slumped slightly, clearly that was not the dramatic secret she hoped it would be. “So did you pick how you’re going to cut your hair? Not that it matters to me, I can’t see it either way.” She asked, trying to be supportive even though she didn’t get the big deal about appearances. Toph was of the mindset of if someone says they are something why do they have to look a certain way to prove it. Which in all honesty is a belief I can respect.
“No, they didn’t.” Katara answered for me, since I was still piercing my thoughts together from the last few minutes.
But before she could explain more I cut her off. “Actually I think I have.” I said confidently, earning a confused but excited look from Katara. “And I’m going to need your help with it. If that’s alright with you, Katara?” I asked, watching as the confusion grew on her face.
“My help? But why? Wouldn’t you rather go to a professional to get your perfect hair cut?” She was confused by my request and totally forgetting the part about me finally choosing how I wanted to do my hair.
“Well, there are likely only two people in all of Ba Sing Se who would even understand the haircut I want, and you’re one of them, so.” I explained, but the confusion did not leave her face. If anything it got worse. “Plus I want it to be a surprise for Sokka when he gets back.” I finished hoping that would clue the waterbender into my choice.
It was silent for a moment as Katara struggled to piece together the clues I gave. “You want to match with Sokka, really?” It was Toph who broke the silence, having pieced the clues together much quicker than Katara, who now wore a surprised and excited smile. “Don’t you guys already share clothes, isn't it weird to have the same hair as well?” The blind girl asked, perplexed by my decision. She wasn’t being judgemental in a rude way, just that she was young and confused as to why people would copy each other’s appearances.
“You want me to give you a haircut that matches Sokka’s? I think that’s sweet.” Katara said, not giving me a chance to answer Toph’s questions. “I can definitely do that. Come on.” She declared standing up.
I smiled as I stood up, following her as she grabbed the scissors and blade she used to help Sokka keep his hair maintained. After she grabbed everything we moved a chair into the bathroom so I could sit and look in the mirror as she took care of my hair.
“So, do you want it to be an exact match of Sokka’s or do you want it a little different?” Katara asked, wanting to make sure we were both on the same page before she started cutting my hair.
I thought for a second before responding. “A little different. I want the sides to be the same, shaved all the way around you know. But I think maybe a little shorter on top, not so short it can’t be tied back but still not so long that having it down is out of the question. If that makes sense?” I said, hoping she understood what I meant.
Katara looked at my hair for a second, as if picturing what I was describing. “Yeah, I get what you’re saying.” She said with a nod as she began brushing out my hair to make sure there were no tangles. “Fair warning I can’t guarantee it will turn out perfectly but I promise to do my best.” She smiled at me through the mirror, before sectioning out the part of my hair that would be shaved off and the part that would just be getting cut shorter.
“I know it’ll turn out just fine. Thank you for helping me with this.” I said with a smile before giving her a final nod and hearing the sound of scissors slicing through hair.
It took about an hour and a half for Katara to finish cutting my hair. The part that took the longest was shaving the sides and back, since my hair hadn’t been cut in years prior to this it was long and heavy so she had cut most of the length off before going in with the blade to even everything out. Once the shaved portion was done she began working on the top portion. Cutting it to be about the same length as Sokka’s at first and tying it back to make sure that the final length would still be able to be tied up. Once it was tied up she would cut off small sections at a time and ask if it was too long and if I wanted it shorter.
When I finally said that it was short enough, Katara sat down the scissors and smiled at me through the mirror. “It looks great. It really suits you, truthfully.” She complimented, not just because she was proud of how well she did with cutting my hair but because she truthfully believed it looked good.
I stood from the chair I was sitting in and leaned closer to the mirror for a better look. Turning my head side to side to see every angle, I paused and thought for a second. Reaching up I gently pulled a small section at the front of my hairline from the hair tie, combing it out with my fingers before laying it along the side of my face as if it were bangs.
“There we go. Now it’s perfect.” I said with a bright smile. “Thank you Katara so much, I really do appreciate it.” I said, giving her a quick hug.
She smiled and hugged me back, but before she could respond the front door of the house opened and interrupted her. “We’re back.” Aang yelled as he and Sokka walked in. I heard them set some stuff down before Aang spoke again. “Hey Toph, where did Y/n and Katara go?” He asked, confused since we had all been in the living room when they had left.
Katara shot me a grin before motioning for me to follow her out of the bathroom. “Oh, Y/n just need my help with something in the bathroom.” Katara said as we got to the living room.
Aang just nodded, not looking up from the baskets of food he and Sokka brought in. Sokka on the other hand froze when he turned to greet me.
“What happened to your hair?” He asked, sounding confused.
Hearing Sokka’s out of place question Aang looked up to see what he was talking about. “Wow that looks great, Y/n. It suits you nicely.” Aang said before turning back to helping Katara sort through the baskets.
“Thank you Aang.” I said quickly, I appreciated his compliment but I had bigger worries now. Sokka was just staring at me confused, I couldn’t tell if he liked it or hated it but the silence he had slipped into after his initial response was starting to scare me.
Not being able to handle the awkward silence between us, I finally spoke up. “I hope it’s okay that I used your hair for inspiration. If not, I can always cut it shorter again so we don’t match.” I worried that he would be upset that I copied him.
After only a few seconds he seemed to snap out of the trance he had fallen into. “No. Wait I mean, yes it’s okay. In fact I’m honored you’d want to match your hair with mine. I would never make you change yourself for any reason. I was just surprised.” He said quickly, pulling me into a loving hug.
“So, do you like it?” I asked, looking at him curiously while resting my chin on his chest, not breaking our embrace.
Sokka just smiled before placing a gentle kiss on my forehead. “I love it.” He answered with a bright smile. “Plus now it’ll be easier to help you do your hair on lazy mornings.” As he laughed at his own joke I smacked his chest lightly but quickly joined in with his laughter.
It was moments like this that reminded me of why I left my little earth kingdom village to save the world. I did it so people can live their lives being happy with those they love and being who they want to be no matter what others may say.
